Even if you are not a cooking enthusiast or don’t watch reality shows, you most definitely have heard about Gordon Ramsay. Even before the fiery British chef made a name for himself on TV and the internet, he was recognized for his achievements in the food industry and the field of hospitality. He also owns a restaurant group that was awarded multiple Michelin stars.
Two of Ramsay’s most popular TV shows are probably Uncharted and Hell’s Kitchen. In the first one, he travels around the world, immerses himself in local cuisines, and competes with local chefs. It is a delight to watch Gordon Ramsay cooking, but it’s the second show that is responsible for tons of Gordon Ramsay quotes and memes online.
In Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay gathers several aspiring chefs who compete against each other in cooking challenges. As he watches the process and assesses ready dishes, you will see Gordon Ramsay yelling profanities and coming up with strong but good roasts. Some people might think this is rude, but the thing is, any professional kitchen is indeed a very intense workplace with a very strict hierarchy. If, as a chef, you are polite and forgiving of mistakes, your clients will most probably be served subpar dishes. In the worst-case scenario, someone might even get hurt in the cooking process.
After all, the TV show is called Hell’s Kitchen, not The World’s Most Polite Chef’s Kitchen, so it only fits the concept. People who have interacted with Ramsay or work with him on a regular basis share that once he walks off the set, he becomes one of the sweetest and most considerate persons on earth.

That's a perfectly respectable grilled chicken...unless the dark bits are garlic. Burnt garlic is bitter and unpleasant.

Someone would get their feelings hurt. I'm not eating anything with a head still on it. With sauce of whatever kind also it's hard to tell if it's cooked enough.

i make comments that are not insulting, yet outside of the general "consensus" and i get down voted or worse. Gordon Ramsey is a downright vicious insulting Tw*T and gets all this praise.

His remarks are based solely on appearance, not flavor. He seems incredibly picky. While some people may like his petty mean Insults I'd have to say they are definitely not to my taste in entertainment. Gordon better hope there is never a famine in his lifetime.

My schools menu has this thing called “hot dog with Chili con carne”… it looks like diarrhoea on hotdogs. It was BROWN.
