Wash Your Hands And Reuse The Water For Your Next Flush
We are living currently through the worst drought in the last 100 years in Cape Town. So yes, we need to use water very wisely.
Load More Replies...This is an excellent idea! But make sure you flush with the lid down, or all the disgusting germs will jump right onto that tiny sink and anything nearby! Actually, you should ALWAYS flush with the lid down.
Yes. And personally i keep my toothbrush etc in a different room to toilet.
Load More Replies...These toilets have been in widespread use in Asia for more than 30 years.
Only downside I can see is soap scum build up on the inside of the tank and all over the valve and float. Being "out of site out of mind", it has a high potential to get pretty funky in there.
simply needs a compact high end filter to remove body dirt/soap dirt.
Load More Replies...Yeah maybe in deserted areas with water ration but this is severe for say, Seattle where it's water water, everywhere. Even though admittedly, one should never waste water I just think it is overkill for most.
Load More Replies...Does this keep the toilet cleaner because it always has soapy water running through it?
Free Coffee In Exchange For Some Rubbish
I live in north central FL, surrounded by the Gulf and the Atlantic. This should be on all of our beaches here! As well as every other coastline.........in the world!! I bet if they offered a free BEER, it would work even better! Nothing like an icy cold bottled beer on a hot sunny day.
Your choice of coffee, beer or chilled beverage would be great. Encourages kids too :) And those of us who don't care for either regular coffee or beer.

These Traffic Lights In Ukraine
It's a great idea. If you're in a short car or on a motorcycle behind a van or truck, you can still see the signal. If you're on the sidewalk, it makes it much easier to see what's going on. Plus it just looks awesome.

Accessibility Matt On The Beach For Wheelchairs And Strollers
Not just wheelchairs. I can’t walk on sand due to an ankle injury, this would let me use a beach again!
This is the smartest device ever thought of! I know it's only a strip in the sand, but to a handicapped person, it might mean so very much! To get to the beach would be wonderful for a person in a wheel chair! Not necessary a handicapped but say, someone with a broken leg, or foot, or well, anything actually! :D
We have something similar In Denmark at some beaches it is just made of wood instead
From what I remember we've always had them here in Italy, but they are sidewalks or plastic walkways .. only in the free beaches they're not present

palm oil can not be sustainable, because the one already existing are not, so they need to kill the forest to have new sustainable fields. Anyway SLS isn't healthy at all, better to buy a toothpaste without ;)
Cool. But Palm oil? There is no such thing as sustainable palm oil.
They should put these on cigarettes so people can realize what's actually in them…
Cigarettes and alcohol! Why are those two not required to list ingredients? Who is afraid of what?

i would forget to push it walk half way there debate for 30 seconds as to whether i should go back and press this button or go the one near the elevator
Load More Replies...That's great for those times in scary movies when someone is running away from something and they're frantically pushing the elevator button!
It's for keeping the hallway uncrowded during big events. Perfect for Midwest Furfest, when there's a couple dozen people in costume waiting to go upstairs.
God forbid we spend a few seconds waiting. Seriously, I could do with the odd pause in my day. I’m biting down.
But is life just SO hectic that you cannot wait 20 seconds for an elevator? Take the time to pause and make a quick reflection or mentally go over the upcoming day. At the minimum, try to think of something positive.
This Pill Bottle Lid Tells You When You Last Opened It
extremely useful if you need to take your tablets/pill at a certain time each day
Exactly! I know epilepsy patients could really use this. They often have memory problems due to the seizures or medication and don't take their medication on time because of it.
Load More Replies...Also good to see if someone else is getting into your prescription meds
I think this could also be very useful to help see if anyone else has gone into your pill bottle.
MyTherapy is a great app for reminding and tracking meds, specially if you have to take different types of meds at different intervals. When it is time to take a pill, it tells you which pill and you can mark it as either confirmed or skipped and review later on to see if you took all the pills you were supposed to. Just in case this is of help to someone.
If I can forget to take my pills, I'd certainly forget to mark/tick it off the list if I did take them. I'm just at that stage in life. Haha!
Load More Replies...imagine struggling to open it and you'd be like 'yeah i know it's taken me 4 hours 16 minutes! stop counting! stop counting!!!'...
I have the ANABOX (look it up if you do not know it). And set alarms on my phone so I do not forget to take them. And I snooze when I can't take them immediately. So I get a reminder 9 minutes later. Works pretty well also! And you have a clear view if you have had them or not.
this would be really handy for me because sometime i forget if i have had my meds so im not sure whether to take them again or not definitely up-voting :)
Forget “remembering when you last took it”, now you can see if that neighbor kid is taking your pain killers.

The Roofs Of UPS Trucks Are Not Brown. They're Translucent So The Inside Of The Truck Doesn't Need To Be Lit During The Day
Saving what energy? The battery is charged while the truck runs and the light will not require any additional runtime to power it.
Load More Replies...That's not the lights but the daylight though the roof
Load More Replies...Great for letting the sun roast the electronic product that you ordered.
That probably is not in all UPS trucks around the world. For example here in Finland the winters are very dark and there are only couple of hours of daylight so the roof like this would be useless, especially if there is snow on it. But in the summer it is sunlight nearly 24/7 so then a roof like that would be useful.
Here in Arizona it seems it would turn it into an oven.
Load More Replies...That was suggested by a driver who was rewarded handsomely by UPS. Not only does it not need interior illumination, the plastic weighs less than steel so it saves fuel too. If I remember correctly his bonus was based on how much money was saved.
They really looked after that package on the right of the photo, didn't they?
It’s not a customer’s, though. It’s probably flares or such.

In Serbia (Niš) there are also such poligon for kids to practice traffic
We have those in Germany too. You also have to do some kind of a driving licence in 3rd grade.
I lived in Germany as a child and I remember that we had to take a "bicycle driving licens" before we were allowed to ride our bikes from and to school, but it was in 2nd grade, I think. We were on a playground like the one on the picture and the police was there to monitor us and score points. When I moved back to Sweden I was suprised that there were none like this. None.

In Czech Republic the rule is to step on the crossing at green light, not to get to the other side. If it turns red in the meantime, you don't have to rush and can continue at your normal pace.
Load More Replies...A great idea! Though I am in a wheelchair and mostly reach it well in time, I am pretty quick. Some crossings are very short, which where this would come in very handy for me! Why don't we have this everywhere in the world?
AMEN! I AM TRYING TO GET OUR CITY'S TRAFFIC DEPT. TO DO THE VERY SAME THING AT A BUSY INTERSECTION HERE!
This is a wonderful idea. Anyone with mobility issues would benefit from this.
Slow people only get half way across when the light changes. I see it all the time. In my home town you can go kitty corner instead of crossing twice. That takes twice as long and the light doesn’t give enough time.
I don’t care for the card though. If you’re not old just slow, like someone who uses a cane or crutches, why can’t they use it?
Huge lane by my house gives 20 seconds to cross--I can't make it in 20 seconds, and there are many, many seniors residences nearby--this is such a good idea.

These Bikes Have Airless Tires
I used to have airless tires, but they were so dense that they didn't absorb impact and were heavy. I'm glad they came up with a lighter design.
Works for cities- I can't imagine trying to clean mud out of them on unpaved surfaces.
It's a really cool idea but those bikes would be a nightmare for trypophobic people.
Typically if it's uniform or symetrical there is little to no reaction. Seeing Lotus pods and garlic bulbs cut in half so the cloves are bisected both make me unable to eat or concentrate on anything for a good 6 hours. It's silly I know, but real.

The parking garage at work has a row of lights down the middle of each aisle with red lights for filled parking spots and green for empty. They change color when someone leaves or parks.
Load More Replies...I expect to start seeing Youtube videos of people trying to drive up the wall.
At One of the Universities in San Diego (USD or SDSU... can't remember) engineering students came up with a similar design to the green and red lights, so that it was easier to find spaces. They used solar panels for powering it and the light boards prevented the up and down aisle searching that's so frustrating. Collaborative, creative thinking. We need more of it!
If you can't park without lines on the wall you shouldn't be driving.

Those are still a thing? They used to do that here, but don't remember the last time I saw it.
We had this at a local grocery many years ago but were taken out once broken and were never replaced

This USB Drive Displays How Much Of Its Storage Is Being Used
It is quite cool, but also quite useless. When you connect it to a computer you can easily see how much storage there is left (in MB/GB instead of percentage) and i don’t really see why you would need to know how much storage your USB stick has left at a moment when it’s not connected to a computer.

These Sheets That Tell You What Side Of The Bed To Put Them On
Just iron on some hemming tape marked with fabric pen, you can mark sides with chalk as a prep. Too easy.
Load More Replies...We have these on our boats too. If any sheet sets don't happen to have them we have them put on because the sheets have to be custom made. They are all color coded for each cabin too. There might be a purple thread sewn into the mid starboard cabin and a red thread in the forward port cabin, etc. When we fold sets they are all folded into each other; flat, fitted and pillow cases are all folded into one and put inside of one of the pillow cases so they're never not a complete set. Makes it much easier. Organization is key.
Now if only the fitted sheets had a label with instructions on how to fold...

I've always put my coffee grounds into plants. Also my leftover Black Coffee.
Most coffee shops will give away their used grounds. You just have to ask for them.
These Batteries Have An USB Port To Charge Them
Seriously? How is this an improvement to the rechargeable batteries that you can charge 4 at once in a dock...?
Totally agree. First, when I need recharged batteries, I always need more than one. Second, I still need a power supply unit to transform from 220V or 110V down to 5V, which the USB cable can handle. Third, recharging by USB will take more time than recharging by "real" charging device. Fourth, placing an USB port inside the battery instead of charging capacity is simply a waste of space.

The Back Of This Park Bench Can Swing Back And Forth, Allowing The User To Face Either Direction
i just had a mental picture of two grannies battling it out over which way the bench should face...
I was gonna mention this- on trams or trolleys that don't turn around, everyone wants to face forward- so they have benches that can change either way. I think this used to be one.

My Hotel Room Comes With A Complimentary Android Phone With Free Data And Calls
Here in India, these days Call and data has gone so cheaper that nobody even cares about them anymore.
not cheap for someone who comes from Europe... roaming costs a fortune for us.
Load More Replies...Had been on tour to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. My hotels there provided me with these....was very useful to call our tour guide and the cab driver and other group members...especially in a foreign nation with no local phone number.
That's exactly the phone we had in our hotel rooms in Paris and Spain. VERY useful if what you need are maps. ... For those that are paying roaming charges...why are you doing that? Contact your carrier before you leave and set up an international plan that's a flat rate for unlimited roaming and data. Where I am it's about ten bucks a day to do that.
If it has the phone number/address of the hotel programmed into the phone, it'd be a great idea. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about getting lost in the city you're visiting.
It does :) it has ale the info about the hotel, a guidebook and a two-way messaging system so you and the hotel can easily get in touch.
Load More Replies...This is in Singapore, where you can't get internet on your own phone while you are there. So you get a phone with 4G, but the main thing is that you can book things like theme parks and zoo's with that phone and the hotel, of course, will get a referral fee. Wifi hotspot does not work on the phones so you really can't use your own phone and have to carry around 2 phones.
You Can Rent Sleeping Cabins At This Airport
Much better than having to sleep on the crappy seats in the waiting area.
I like the idea, but the germ/creep factor would not allow me to use it.
Privacy and personal security, this needs to be everywhere too
But they are cost prohibitive. I was recently going thru Delhi airport and they had something similar. They wanted something like $15 an hour. Now, who is going to get one of those for an hour only. In my case, 3 hours is minimum and that would have been $45. Crazy prices. If they reduced their prices then they may get more custom.
I know that Munich's Franz-Josef-Strauß Airport has them.
