Welcome to the internet, where possibilities are endless, yet we still would choose cat pictures over any art piece ever shared online. Why do we love cats? If you have ever been accepted by a cat so that it climbed and sat on your lap and voluntarily started to purr, then you know the answer. They are irresistible, cute, and entertaining.
We love cats so much that we even hire them (not really) to work at stores. Such cats are called bodega cats. Even though it is probably illegal due to some health codes, that doesn’t stop this phenomenon. These bodega cats can either be domesticated or semi-feral.
Nowadays, bodega cats are a part of our internet culture, and we are happy to present you with some of the cutest cat pictures online. This Twitter account by the name @bodegacats_ shares cats taking their responsibilities ‘seriously’ by protecting the merchandise.

Cat and human relationships date back to 7500 B.C. It all started with a beneficial trade of mice. Cats would hunt them for food, and that saved harvested crops from being eaten. Nowadays, we do not need cats for pest control. We need them for friendship and photos to put on the internet. Obviously, we love a good hunter cat, but since we usually don’t have rodent problems, that nocturnal behavior now disturbs our sleep rather than helps keep the house protected.

Cats basically have been working for people since the beginning, therefore, there have been stories of cats being offered a job in various places. After the world travel period, some cats got employed in post offices in London, where they were paid one shilling a week. Now imagine a place where you would get to be yourself, have unlimited food, and also as a bonus, get paid for that. What a dream. Of course, even today, cats have it good. No work, sleeping anywhere at any time, always being fed, and getting unlimited love from the owners.

I used to buy those variety boxes of chips from Sams Club for my kids. There was a flavor no one liked. My cat would get in the box and sleep on them. I got smart and would line his cat bed with the bags. Slept like a rock.

IKR!!! I'm allergic and have to "jump through hoops" to keep my pets. I could really have a problem if I unknowingly handle cat (drool, dander, 💩) covered items. I'm guessing that they are NOT supposed to be there and probably get stashed away when a health inspector shows up (or it's "What cat? Oops!").

That's cute😻but it's just another example of the dangerous fallacies that the TV and movie industry have "taught" us... Tuna is actually BAD for cats. So are dairy products because most cats are lactose intolerant which can cause nausea, bloating, cramps, vomiting and diarrhea. And is a major cause of those mystery stains behind the couch, etc.

😹That's too funny😹 But, unlike dogs, cats don't actually WANT you to touch their tummy. They're just saying that they TRUST you. Then they put up with it as long as they can before they overload on the stimulation and react. Most people don't notice the warning signs because cats are so subtle. Even a twitching of the skin communicates a lot of info, if you notice it (lightning fur).

I’m fairly sure (90%) that this cat is yawning, not hissing. So, it’s probably not actually annoyed. Source of information: 11 years pet sitting and a fair amount of time before becoming a pet sitter spent around cats.

Bicoloration in cats happens with many breeds. I think that I can see the M on the forehead of this one, which would mean that it has Tabby in it. If the "round gray spot on side" looks like a Bullseye 🎯, then it has Australian Mist in the mix. Focus on the specifics of the colored patches to give yourself more clues. Good luck 🤞😸🤞

Our 1 yr. old cat took over our kitchen sinks. He loves to play in water. I fill a large bowl of water, place it in the sink, & he just sits there dipping his paws in the water & plays. But lord help you if you leave dishes in the sink! He will definitely let you know this is unacceptable. At least 4-5 hours a day, he just plays in sink. As a kitten, if I tried washing dishes, he would sit on the counter ledge, snuggled between both of my arms & just watch the action.

Mr. Lobster Mist, my Polydactyl Australian Mist kitten is the same way! I've worked very hard to desensitize him to water and it seems to have backfired just a bit. Try to pour any liquid and he comes RUNNING out of nowhere. I do it just to get his attention when he's "too busy" to come when I call 😹🤣😹

People Please, do not feed your cats straight out of the cans!!! Even if they don't get their tongues cut, they will get whisker fatigue (they might even limit their eating due to this). *And notice how they left food around the bottom edges where they can't access it. It'll sit there going to waste, attracting flies & getting rancid.

I did not mean to downvote this. I meant to comment saying that I have not seen the movie. And don’t really see the appeal. I’ve seen the trailer and clips of it on YouTube (WatchMojo) but not the whole thing. Frat boy type movies are not really my vibe, as a 40 year old female. I’m not 100% opposed to frat boy humour (I used to watch a lot of Game Grumps, I was surprised at how much I liked their brand of humour, as a woman in her 30s at the time) but sometimes it’s very obnoxious and not funny. If I’m in the right mood maybe I’ll watch it someday.

⚠️PSA⚠️That's actually dangerous for them, it gets caught on the papillae on their tongue and they CANNOT spit it out. Same with hair, string, etc. If it happens too much/often, they can get an Impacted Bowel and need surgery to remove it. Perspective, everyone who is shouting about animals and food. Aside from the sheer cuteness and chance to interact with a cat when horrible landlords disallow pets, these fuzzballs are keeping mice away: Mice urine and feces can be quite dangerous: Hanta virus, for example.

As much as I dislike that term (sexist & racist) , I'd "Go Karen" on the owners about any uncaged pets running around any food establishment that I shop at too. AND customers who wander around with pet birds on their shoulder & 💩ing on them as they shop need to be thrown out!!!!! They are NOT Service Animals! Even they'd be evicted for 💩ing in a store!

A shedding animal that loves to jump up and be in the middle of EVERYTHING that you do?!? My. Whole. Life. is about caring for critters and UNteaching others the dangerous fallacies taught to us by the TV and movie industry (esp. feeding inappropriate foods like dogs&bones, cats&milk)... but keep them away from any & all food for people's consumption, for health's sake!!! Sharing APPROPRIATE foods from yours is great, but NOT during storage, selling & preparation!!! It's a health hazard: toxoplasmosis isn't the only issue.

As much as I dislike that term (sexist & racist) , I'd "Go Karen" on the owners about any uncaged pets running around any food establishment that I shop at too. AND customers who wander around with pet birds on their shoulder & 💩ing on them as they shop need to be thrown out!!!!! They are NOT Service Animals! Even they'd be evicted for 💩ing in a store!

I live in the Bronx and bodega cats are a huge subculture … I have not met one unfriendly bodega cat … meanwhile, my children’s cat always instituted the 6-second rule when I tried to pet it …

"Even though it is probably illegal due to some health codes..." ?!? It is definitely illegal according to all reasonable health codes!!! A shedding animal that loves to jump up and be in the middle of EVERYTHING that you do?!? My. Whole. Life. is about caring for critters and UNteaching others the dangerous fallacies taught to us by the TV and movie industry (esp. feeding inappropriate foods like dogs&bones, cats&milk)... but keep them away from any & all food for people's consumption, for health's sake!!! Sharing APPROPRIATE foods from yours is great, but NOT during storage, selling & preparation!!! It's a health hazard: toxoplasmosis isn't the only issue.

Btw, as much as I LOVE cats, I'm allergic and have to "jump through hoops" to have pets. Unexpectedly handling items covered in cat (fur/dander, drool & 💩) could make me sick.
