Nobody ever said that being the best mom ever is easy. Yet until you actually become one yourself, it's hard to appreciate the emotional rollercoaster that is raising kids. As well as the joys of creating and nurturing a tiny human being and watching their personality blossom, there are the inevitable stresses and mental breakdowns that come along with being a mom. From trying to get the dear child to sleep and eat properly, to the tantrums, issues at school, a vast amount of parenting tips, and juggling extra-curricular activities, there are bound to be times when you wish you can just run away from it all!

Of course though, in reality, that's the last thing you want to happen when parenting. A little comic relief from funny memes, along with the knowledge that you are not alone, can be all that's needed to get you back up and ready to be a supermom once again. And that's where we here at Bored Panda come in. We have collected a list of relatable mom memes to put a smile back on your face, and have you nodding along in weary, but amused appreciation! When my daughter was 2, she refused to hold my hand when crossing the street. Then we saw a baby squirrel that hadn't made it all the way and was sadly flattened in the middle of the road. She asked what happened and I replied "He didn't hold his mommy's hand when crossing" - worked like a charm for the next few years! There was never a fuss about holding hands.

This is pretty sexist actually. There are parents out there where they guy awakes quicker if the baby screams. No reason to ridicule them.

This was never an issue raising my children. I knew about picky kids, and even knew a couple. I never made meals that they complained about. They grew up on a good Canadian diet. Roasts, spaghetti, soups. Veggie platters were like candy dishes. Foods were homemade, from the garden and canning. If someone didn't like something, they weren't forced to eat it. There are plenty of other ways to make up the nutrients. But they still eat dinner with us, less the one item. You can't blame kids for acting in the world we created. The food options are crazy. Eating convenience foods whether from the restaurant or freezer makes them believe the variety is never ending. With that they are being tricked by sugars and other chemicals. Parents won't take responsibility because they are the ones feeding them poorly. Most of the adults I know eat a lot of their meals from a single serving package, drive thru, or restaurant.

If I didn't like what was provided I had to make my own meal. That taught me to be self sufficient, and I am glad I wasn't forced to eat things I didn't like. I did eat the vast majority of my mom's cooking, she was great.

We had the same rule. And we had to taste before saying I don't like it. Ate almost everything, then again mom is a great cook.

Oh, I can relate so much to this! And wait, at my age, I have to deal with my kids' outbursts of veganism, random ingredient intolerance and rotating ethical boycotts of brands ... at the end, you get to question weather your carrots were sustainably peeled for the stew...

In 5 years of my ex-partner having his daughter every weekend (now 14)- all she would (and still does) eat was pizza, heinz beans, chips and lasagne. Saw her eat a vegetable (peas) occasionally in all that time - and an orange once.

The food we had was not something I would eat now. But it never occurred to me to not eat. It was just something you were happy to be doing. Apart from school lunches. I was reported for not not touching those.

To be honest my mom never was good at cooking. But I spent my childhood in a very small place so we never ate at restaurants. Because I did not know what good food was supposed to taste I ate everything that my mom cooked. Nowadays I am much better at cooking than my mom.

My mum was never the best cook in the word either, with a limited repertoire. Didnt have pasta or rice "foreign food". Didnt have broccoli once (never got it at school either). All vegetable tasted of nothing but salt. Still like instant mashed potato though.

My mum and dad used to make 3 different meals for me and my 2 sisters cos we liked different things and I couldn’t handle some things, and my middle sister had to be veggie as if any meat products were ingested by her she ended up in hospital. So it wasn’t easy to just cook the same thing for everyone to eat. Even now there is just me and my parents at home and sometimes my belly can’t handle meat, wheat or dairy and sometimes it can or variations of them, so cooking for the three of us is often difficult. M&D will have one thing and i’ll Have something else or Dad and I will have something and mum will have something different.

I was a very picky eater as a baby. I refused to touch anything other than my mother's milk even though it was time for me to start eating baby food. My mother realized she probably would not be able to tell me no you HAVE to eat this so she sent me to live with my Grandmother. I don't remember much from the experience except that once a baby calf was staring at me and I had a huge meltdown because of it. ( My grandmother and grandfather are farmers)

Depends on their age. Even the most well trained four year old can’t be trusted to prepare their own meal.

Here in Finland a haircut like that is called 'pottakampaus' (a chamber pot haircut). It looks like someone puts a chamber pot on the kid's head (like a helmet) and then cut all the hair that was visible under the rim.
