Love the title and looked it up. One of MANY similar reviews: "Quite frankly, one of the biggest ripoffs in publication history, not named 'Art of the Deal'... basically a mediocre 10 page essay that the publisher has 'expanded' into book length by virtue of squeezing about 140 words per page into a poetry-like 'layout'... and the essay itself is pretty much just pontificating about obvious aspects of past civilizations without any real insight as to how to fix things moving forward, which is the author's alleged premise... and the only humorous thing in this $17 con job is the title." Too bad

When an anxiety attack begins nibbling my mind, constricting my breathing, and causing shaky weakness, I submerge my face in a bowl of ice water. I will repeat this step until I've shocked my anxiety into submission. Easier to do in the privacy of my space, but listening to my well thought out playlist tends to ward these attacks off when in public.

I live across the street from a massive apartment with multiple buildings that looks like a prison complex and surrounded by industrial buildings. Doesn't get better than this. Kafka's surreal fiction vividly expressed the anxiety, alienation, and powerlessness of the individual, and my neighborhood reminds me of this daily.

I said something similar to a teacher way back in my teens. Teacher was so sad for me that I thought life had no meaning - which I still don't understand. If it's your goal to be good at tennis, or have 15 children, or make a ton of money or whatever: that's on YOU. Life is something you DO, a course you take, a process, a flow. There is no checklist that I know of being kept that says *what* to do to do it right.

My granddad was very abúsive to my dad. I really respect how my dad worked really hard on himself to make sure that he didn´t treat me and my sibling abúsive. He did have a little bit too much of a temper in my opinion, which did affect me as a kid. But seeing where he came from, made me really appreciate how hard he worked to break the cycle, because he has never once beaten us, which is quite an achievement if that's how you grew up yourself.

The universe is not meaningless, but meaning must be created. The electron has a purpose. It creates the electromagnetic spectrum. The proton has a purpose. It creates the elements. Sentient beings have a purpose. We create the meaning. That doesn't make it contrived. This is specifically where meaning is supposed to come from. Without us, the universe truly would be meaningless, and broken.

That's what had me worrying for weeks that I might have a heart attack or something else might be wrong with my heart, bc I had a weird pain/sensation in my chest back in April and had a panic attack bc of it. There was nothing wrong with my heart before the pa, so why should there be something now?
