Uber Alternative
The US ad website Craigslist has its roots in 1995 when Craig Newmark created an email distribution list for his friends that featured local events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I Was Looking For Used Laptops In Craigslist
I worked in an office that kept a typewriter around for when we needed to make corrections to signed forms and other documents. A young attorney asked me if I could show him how to turn it on, so I did. He sat down and then just looked at it—he couldn’t figure out how to put the paper in—and yet he somehow thought he was going to white-out some text to be replaced with other text? I took pity on him and did it for him in just a couple of minutes. Sometimes being old really pays off.
Now, let’s talk numbers because they’re jaw-droppingly huge. Craigslist has over 20 billion (that’s right, that’s a ‘b’, not an ‘m’) page views each month (this one’s an ‘m’, though), and it had more than 49.4 million unique monthly visitors in the US alone.

This Guy On Craigslist Found A Lost "Dog"
A lady out my way took in a bobcat thinking it was somebody's stray. I've seen joke posts like this, but this lady was legit not from America and had brought a very unruly bobcat into her house in hopes of returning it to its humans. Some people very gently and kindly informed her that she had a wild animal, but the really terrible part is all the hate and b******t she got over it. Just because something is familiar to you, doesn't mean other people know it. Don't treat people badly for lacking information. Help, don't hate.
I would have thought this was fake, but recently someone called the police (in germany) and told them he just had an accident with a 'giant hamster', that was now lying dead near the road. It was a wild boar.
The cat's ears and tail are up, so he/she probably isn't bothered. The body language looks relaxed.
Load More Replies...I wouldn't bet against the cat. I've seen cats stand down foxes and win.
Load More Replies...I'm guessing he's joking, since foxes are common in North America, Central and South America, Europe, central Asia, east Asia and Africa. Don't know if there are fox species in south Asia and Southeast Asia. Some people keep foxes as pets, and this is probably a picture of a pet fox.
How do you define "common"? I live in Europe and I've never seen a fox in my life. It also may depend on where in each continent.

Craigslist also has 80 million new classified ads each month. The numbers are so stunningly big that it makes perfect sense why there are so many ads that have us laughing out loud.

Where I live Craigslist exists but isn't very popular, as most people prefer Kijiji. Kijiji is pretty normal by comparison, but there was an ad for a "male stallion" recently. Good thing they clarified that, someone looking for a female stallion might have bought him by mistake. temp1-5d7a...c-jpeg.jpg
This is one of my favorite pass times. I spend hours looking for funny stuff on Craig's list. The free section is one of the best!
I had to stop doing that after I rescued a couple guinea pigs. I can't fit any more animals!

These were very funny! Unfortunately, my Ex-husband used Craigslist to write to women while I was at work. I love the thought of Craigslist, but he should have been banned.
