After my dog passed it took well over a year to get used to not making double or buying a second something, because for 13 years i never got to eat my own meal. He once broke through our fence went in the neighbours back door and stole the roast off the table the wife had just made for her husband, i was mortified, she said it was fine she made hubby a sandwich instead.
