So Christmas is over, New Year's is over, and you're starting to regret your resolutions already. The weather is still awful and will likely remain so for at least another couple of months, and the work on your desk has piled up over the Christmas period together with the inches around your waist. January and February are definitely fertile months for the occasional 'epic fail day!'
Fear not, though. Nothing that these dark months can throw at you is a patch on what unfortunate events these folks had to endure. Had this happen at the Grand Canyon in 2015. Didn't see much because of a thick low bank of clouds. After we got back, I heard it was some rare phenomenon.

Went to Chamonix, France, and took the little train to see Mer de Glace and the ice cave. We got there really early in the morning and were able to see the impressive Mer de Glace in its dwindling glory (the ice has been melting at an alarming rate), but the ice cave was closed because the cable car down to it wasn't working. We decided to hang around to see if it would open and all of a sudden thick fog settled in--just as most of the tourists were arriving. So we were ones of the lucky few who actually got to see the view that day. We even eventually got to visit the ice cave, although the cable car couldn't be repaired and we had to go down this treacherous path and then like four thousand metal steps. Quite an experience getting back up...

Something similar happened to me three years in a row! It was Denali and it was wild fires, not fog (so it wasn't going to clear up any time soon. Wild fires in Alaska burn for so long, they name them). Damn it, nature! Why do you have to ruin vacations?

Wow...this is so wrong on so many levels. "Impregnated"? Like it was a passive act for women. "Told to [...] abort it"? How would you have the right or entitlement to? And how dare you laugh at human being being born into a world of a father who obviously does not give a s**t what he does with his semen? Sorry, but this is not funny but infuriating. Such a lacak of responsibility...although I see the irony. Hope he at least has to pay big time!
