We at Bored Panda have written about choosing beggars again, and again, and again, and still haven't even scratched the surface of their ridiculous demands—there are simply too many!

But this time, we decided to look at the other side—the one that does the offering—and see if we can find any opportunists among them as well. Pretty soon, we discovered the subreddit 'Delusional Artists' and it gave us exactly what we were looking for.

This online community of 514,000 members constantly shares pictures that expose people with a warped understanding of their prowess. Thinking they're the next big thing, these folks ask for thousands of dollars for their work, and probably expect that the Museum of Modern Art will give them a call any day now, begging to buy a piece for its collection.

I guess the key takeaway here is that people are funny. No matter where you look, someone will find a way to surprise you.

Now that's Art! Commentary on a fake human family being emotionally and morally inferior to dogs. The family poses for the camera while the dogs are genuinely eager to run away.

If you look at the quite harsh shadows on their shoulders, I would say the left (our left) side of their faces would have been in quite dark shadow. Something she should have seen when she took the shots. Lightening shadows in something like Lightroom would have been a better option that repainting every pixel in their faces. :-D

We don't know what the case with the tree is. After working in my citys forestry and learning about trees, a "healthy" looking tree doesn't mean it's healthy. There could be an infestation, overhang, rotting, damage to the surrounding area, underground piping, anything. My city cut a whole street worth of trees down and replaced them with fresh trees and people were pissed. Well people couldnt see the emerald ash borer investation. Rather than let it slowly destroy the tree and look of the neighborhood they decided to replant. Most people don't even know what EAB is, but they do know how to complain.

That is really sad, but maybe someone was concerned that the tree roots could damage the concrete and even cause an accident at some future date.

This, plus: do we know for sure that the tree was perfectly healthy? People tend to get outraged when healthy-looking trees get cut down, and even more outraged when they fall down during a storm narrowly missing a mother with a baby... And also, whatever we see on the photo is clearly not a final product of whatever concept it is.

Mature trees near building cause problems like roots destroying the pipes, lifting the cement driveway, and can remove shingles from roofs.

Many times, like humans, trees hide their illnesses well. It is possible that the "perfectly healthy tree" was anything but. At least I would hope that would by why a landscaper would do this.

We contacted the moderators of 'Delusional Artists' and one of them, a Reddit user who goes on the platform as Wqzu, was kind enough to have a little chat with us.

It's not a secret that when subreddits get big, they attract more trolls, but the mod said this particular one isn't having this problem. (Knock on wood.) "Thankfully, the most common issue is reposts," Wqzu told Bored Panda.

"There are times when we have had to step in and control off-site brigades; the most infuriating one is 1-star review bombing self-published works on Amazon. Every now and then, some big drama will kick off, either publicly (like this) or in modmail when an artist finds out they've been posted here. It hasn't happened in a while though, unfortunately. Maybe I should stir the pot a little bit."

Ridiculous. Is this at Etsy? Regardless, the truth is, orange glass IS hard to find. Unless you had broken an orange glass vase, or something. I mean, I had a lot of glass art in my home, but not a single piece is orange. And my stuff came from a glass blowing studio in Louisiana.... and elsewhere in the south... The frit they use to color molten glass is VERY expensive. But this necklace is not worth that price. Maybe they meant to list is at $900.00? However, no one has gone back to change the price. SO....... nuts!

Putting a price on your artwork on the internet can be hard. As writer Julia Rittenberg, there are several important factors both amateurs and professionals should keep in mind when doing so that doesn't really apply to real life.

Take shipping, for example. "Since [it] can be prohibitively expensive for consumers, price your products to be more expensive to keep shipping costs down for customers," Rittenberg explained on Forbes. "It's a difficult calculation, but higher shipping costs tend to dissuade potential customers. If you keep shipping costs down, you might get more sales, even if the product is priced to be more expensive."

On the other hand, if you're selling digital prints and reproductions, you might want to keep costs down to get your products out to more customers. Only after you build a customer base, should you start to raise prices and consider special offers and shorter runs to incentivize your products as collectibles.

Sadly this is pretty par for the course for a lot of graphic design. Take an image of someone else's work, alter it just enough to be different, sell for profit. It's a shame cuz it seems like the artist could've made some decent stuff on their own had they tried to do ANYTHING that was actually original.

IMHO, she has lost the whole meaning in several of these by not including the details. It's not just the scissors. She's lost the plot on the 3rd and the 5th, as well. I think she's disguised her inability to paint by hiding under the idea of style and interpretation. She definitely lacks creativity. I wonder how many originals she has.

That is the one rule for renderings. You never copy a sketch or drawing from another artist. If you want to use a photo to make a drawing, then go for it. But this is just pathetic, and the original artist's should be suing the c**p out of tahmenihmilani. This is just plain rip off plagiarism.

However, these things are directed toward the reasonable. And those who end up on 'Delusional Artists' are usually anything but; the creative type isn't exactly known for its rationality.

"I think part of being any form of artist (and I say this as a very amateur hobbyist writer that wasted over $33k on a creative writing degree) is being somewhat of a narcissist [who believes] the idea that what you've made needs to be viewed by other people," Wqzu said.

"Most people know that for every Picasso or Dali, there's a million people trying their own hand at it, and that gives you a big pool of people with the potential to be more narcissistic."

The moderator said it is also worth mentioning that a lot of the subreddit's members have never attempted to sell or buy art, and so their idea of what constitutes a reasonable price is normally fairly low.

"I'd say the community is split between people that like looking at bad art and like looking at delusional people having a meltdown," they explained. "I definitely fall into the latter category at least, and that's how the sub was when I joined around 7-8 years ago. If I had to group everyone together, I'd say that we are cringe-voyeurs."

'Delusional Artists' have been around since 2013 and has been reviewed by various big names, but the visibility comes with its fair share of challenges. "Every time the sub gets posted somewhere big, like when PewdiePie made a video on it, we get inundated with reposts, soapboxers, and brigaders that predictably whine in modmail after they get banned."

They would love for everyone to check out the sub, but ask that you read the shagging rules and search the shagging sub before posting and commenting!

honestly, if you had seen the persons other work in advance (the reason you asked this person) than yeah, 75 is the right price. lets say this person worked 10 hours on the piece (not just the painting, sketching it out, trying different things, depending on the artist) than this artist earned 7,50 per hour... which I wouldnt consider a good price for an artist... but yeah, if you were familiar with the artist you asked, yep, 75 is right on the mark!

Since the painting is worth nothing, the math doesn't work. Multiplying by zero is zero.

If you do an image search for bald eagle, you can actually pick out the different pictures that were (poorly) slapped together for reference. There is an awful lot to pick out here that is artistically vacuous.

Maybe it's a first sketch of a famous painting or a hobby drawing by a famous entertainment personality. I've seen Picasso sketches of his works and drawings Marilyn Monroe did on the set of "Some like it hot" at auction.

This looks like a draft sketch for a Thomas Kinkade. The signature in the right bottom corner looks a lot like a his signature on his other paintings. Some people love his art, however, I just find it too...how do I say this nicely...kitschy. I think that price is incredibly steep since his normal artwork doesn't even sell for that much...

Well, a Mac Pro IS a very large heavy computer. It's not a laptop. It's not an iMac. It's a big rectangular powerful PC, sort of like the old computers we had in the 90's, and 2000's. It has 2 very large metal handles on its topside so you can lift it and move it. So I can how these wheels might be useful. And that $$ stand, that is for the $$$ display you buy for it.

Just as 20th-century composers showed that 'music' is any timespan one can convince people to pay to be quiet for, so did abstractionists show that 'art' is any object people are willing to buy.

There's a stage play called "Art" by Yasmina Reza, about a guy who buys a white canvas for a ridiculous sum, and his friends making fun of him, and it almost ruins his friendships. It's a pretty interesting look at how we define art and taste. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_(play)

That's what is even more disgusting - someone will buy these shoes, take one pic wearing them to post on instagram, then they put them on a display shelf in a 20'x20' "closet". While those of us living on a fixed income are donating non-perishable foods to our local school's "Snack Packs" to send home with kids on Fridays so they have something decent to eat over the weekend.

I think you may be right on that guess. The long legs is a usual sign of a younger kid 3-7 as they try to draw a tall adult because of the angle they usually look up at them and this being done in acrylic at that age group really isn't so bad so might of ended up in a charity event from a school contest or such.

My husband's mom has a painting like this if 3 interlocking rings in 3 different shades of blue. She paid $350 for it and when my husband saw it, he said "come on, Mom, you could've given me $50 and I could've dipped my balls in paint and made this for you MUCH cheaper!" Now anytime she sees it, she laughs and calls it her "testicle painting" 😅
