‘Dogspotting’ Is A Group Where People Share Only The Best, Unexpected Encounters With Dogs (50 Pics)
Dogspotting is just that -- a Facebook group where people share photos of all the dogs they see. And it's just as pure as it sounds.
The group has 1.8 million members, all following one basic rule: don't post pictures of dogs you know personally, whether it's your own pup or one that you've seen before. Well, that and don't mention any cats. But you've probably realized that on your own.
And that's basically it. The free format guarantees you will see something different every day, offering everything from Newfoundlands sitting on the roof to Corgis in backpacks.

"Dogspotting is a game, sport, and lifestyle of spotting random dogs you encounter," the admins of the group wrote, encouraging people to post their own or known dogs in Dogspotting Society instead.
If you want to become a good dogspotter, you should also stay away from the so-called low hanging fruit -- dog and dogs in places you would expect to find them, for example, at the groomers and vets, in parks and stores, and so on.

Not Sure If They Saw Me
The most common type of posts are photo and video spots, but the admins also allow text spots (description of the who, what, when, and where of the dog you spotted) and art spots (artistic renderings of the "target").
However, if the subject is distressing or emotionally charged, don't post it. You won't find any politics, nail trimming, ear crops, adopt vs shop, or other similar topics on the group, too. "Keep in mind spotters do not have control over the dogs they spot.be respectful!" the admins added.

Similar thing happened to me once... 17 year-old, mostly-blind, all deaf, toothless bundle named ROXY came along with my grandkids for one weekend. I cried when told she passed on 6 months later. That happened years ago and I've never forgotten her.

Poor little thing. Those legs look a bit short to climb into that suitcase. Plus it looks like her food bowl is in there too. OP should make a bed on the floor with some blankets, which she can just "flop" onto. That's a lot of weight for those little legs to lift over the suitcase edge.

Our family was camping, when people pulled up beside us with their trailer and truck. after they got situated the lady popped over and seen our 4 dogs. she said she has some dogs with her as well, we asked “oh how many dogs do you have?” said said “19” and walked away. we all thought we heard wrong. i waited a bit and went over. below is what i found. all the dogs were so happy and healthy. i didn’t hear any of them bark and they went swimming everyday. (imagine watching 19 dogs swim, the old and small dogs stayed on her paddle board). best vacation.

Dog's usually have a reason if they stop. I've only ever had it happen when there was a problem - eg too hot, too tired or something is hurting. One dog I couldn't work it out at all though it turned out she was going blind. Don't worry - she soon adapted and was very clever with how she coped.

Both are great. What lifestyle you have will be a factor in what species and breed. Cats are lower maintenance, can be left at home alone, dont need training/walking etc. Some are more aloof like tabbies, others are more cuddly like maine coons etc. Mixed breeds are fun. For dogs, you need to consider their walking needs, how much time/level of fitness u have, outdoor space and training. They are a more constant companion than a cat: you wont often be apart really. (NB i have a rescue tabby, aloof at first but now cuddly, constantly follows me, waits for me to come home and greets me etc ^-^) good luck with your new pet, whatever you choose if you love it it will love you back, so rewarding

I had a dog spotting encounter the other day! Was in a zoom call with my engineering teacher when his dog Da Vinci interrupted, my teacher saw how much my face lit up when I saw him so he asked me to call to Vinci to see if he would respond and he did!! Yay!!
