Oh god, poor baby- I don't know much about dog seatbelts, but surely that's dangerous? And I'm hoping this is a soon-to-be Momma, given the nipples, but I don't know how to tell. All "chonky" pets make me sad, but seeing more lively, active breeds like this makes me extra sad.

Unless they're A) neutered male cats that appear fatter than they are because of sagging belly, or B) appear fat but it's actually fluid build up from a heart condition (happened with some of my pet rats).

I don’t understand any of it. Overfeeding a pet continually. Seeing it getting larger and larger, and the struggles that go with it, and not doing anything about it. Worse still, thinking it’s cute. Having no shame about the harm caused to the pet. Actually posting pictures on the internet for others to see, like there’s nothing wrong with it and that the owner had nothing to do with it.

One day I looked at my cat & asked her how she got chunky because she's not getting human food or anything else. Well, she got fat because she figured out how to work her auto feeder. I had notifications turned off so I never knew there was extra activity. Due to hectic life, I didn't realize I was filling the auto feeder more than I should have needed to...she was not happy when I caught on and the auto feeder was was replaced with a bowl.
