If it’s a joke, it’s often less confusing to put /j or “joking.” I don’t care if you found it clear and not confusing, not everyone has your eyes and brain

But it's a clear and obvious parody of the very advertising strapline you quoted.

Except knives, for instance, have uses *other* than killing people, whereas a handgun has no legitimate non-murdering uses. If you want to practice shooting, use a rifle, which at least is a hunting weapon. Pistols are for rendering human people dead and nothing else. Also it turns out that if you ban handguns you don't have school shootings for about thirty years (and counting)

How do you get the handguns and other weapons from the ones who obtained them illegally? It is a very complicated issue in the US with no easy, clear cut solutions as of yet. One thing, though, it will take both sides talking to one another to find a way out of this endless cycle of gun violence. So keep downvoting my for expressing my opinion whoever did...you are part of the problem, not the solution.

This goes for whoever downvoted P.C."s comment as well. Thought we were only supposed to downvote hateful, mean, abusive comments? What happened to everyone is entitled to their opinions? Or does that only apply when their opinions agree with yours?

I personally could care less about the downvotes myself too. It's the double standards that annoy the c**p out of me. I have no illusions that we will solve gun violence here, but at least we can discuss it. Anyways, have a good one P.C....or two...shhh don't wake the trolls

Banning handguns doesn't stop school shootings. Lots of school shootings are done with rifles.

And yet both the UK and Australia responded to school shootings with handgun bans three decades ago and have had no school shootings since. That's not to say the USA shouldn't tighten up gun control generally, though.

Also, if a woman is attacked and raped it's automatically her fault, and her father or brothers have the right to kill her because she shames the family. That has got to be one of the most barbaric practices I've ever heard.

Exactly. And, for any who’s curious, just Google what the Human Rights Watch has to say about “The Personal Status Law” enacted last year. It was supposedly a progressive new law, but, instead of protecting women, it protects men’s ownership over them.
