“What If We Cared About Those Living In Poverty As Much As We Care About Celebrities?”
Simple: Celebrity worship keeps people hypnotized into believing that they too can and will be rich and/or famous someday INSTEAD of realizing that we all can have nice comfortable lives IF we taxed all the billionaires and millionaires out of existence! Call it whatever you want, but I don't care. I'm done seeing my fellow humans SUFFER while the Musks and Bezos of the world get richer and richer!
Perhaps I'm the odd one out but I just never could wrap my head around celebrity worship. Yes, I have celebrities whose work I thoroughly enjoy, however, I just never understood the need to follow a celebrity's every move in the media. "Stanning" and obsessing over celebrities always felt really creepy to me.
Same. Growing up my grandma always had the latest issues of celebrity magazines and I would flip through them being completely baffled as to why anyone cared about the things Jennifer Aniston was buying at the supermarket.
Load More Replies...Me neither. does that absolve us from caring about Marlene or makes us worst for not even caring about the Kardashians??
Load More Replies...If this were real, and all over the media, I think it would really help. Too often, we don't do what we can because we close our eyes to it. We don't see the suffering people as individual people, and don't really acknowledge the problems. Putting a few people out there like this, I think we can relate better. Clara, who can't feed her child Daniel, is much more real than a bunch of statistics without faces.
There are stories like this on certain websites that have to be searched out, but people do not search them out. Algorithms determine top news stories by the volume of people clicking on the story. Sports stories and Entertainment stories top serious human interest stories. The people want to be ignorant, we feed our personal echo chamber.
Load More Replies...Sadly, we've become numb to refugees/ poor people dying. Its beome just another statistic.
Poverty keeps people busy and away from questioning the government, so why would they want to change it?

One Child Is Holding Something That's Been Banned In America To Protect Them
This is f*****g sad and embarrassing as an American. Republicans have the blood of children on their hands.
There is a *LOT* of blood on our politicians' hands. Wars, COVID, Jim Crow, war on drugs, Reaganomics, inadequate sex "education", ... (edit: rephrased & expanded)

What about the small objects that fit in the big object? Surely bullets are also a choking hazard!
Load More Replies...Just 5min ago I read news that a 33weeks pregnant mom was shot dead by her 2yo. 3 loaded weapons have been found inside their house. Insane.
Ah yes, the people who think that guns don't kill people, but books can make you gay.
That image and text is very powerful, I live in the UK so I only read about the mass shootings, however, banning a f***ing chocolate egg, seriously, what the AR- Kinder that fires 100 chocolate shells per minute?? Seriously messed up priorities....
Small toys are choking hazard, which is why in Europe they label them for children 3 and up. Meanwhile the USA feeds their children countless E numbers the EU banned years ago...
Load More Replies...That child could swallow the toy in that giant capsule that they can easily see. Won't someone please think of the children!? Meanwhile, so many innocent lives are ended far too earlier by gun violence and the damned United States does absolutely nothing about it. It's always the same old "thoughts and prayers". I feel that people have gotten so desensitized to gun violence and it it truly horrifying as it seems to happen almost every day. I truly wonder about this country as an expat working and living here...
It is indeed horrifying that there are enough politicians in office who disregard the majority wishes in spite of being elected representatives. There are others fighting back and they need our support, including the politicians that will genuinely represent the majority, and organizations like the one who took out the ad (Moms Demand Action).

I love her. My great-great cousin was one of her math teachers and the one that inspired her to go into astronomy.
Load More Replies...Amazing movie, "Hidden Figures". About the women who did the math calculations for NASA but were hid in a basement, with horrible working environment but end up saving Apollo 11 mission. My son, who is a Mathematics Professor, made all his classes watch it.
I loved that movie! I was just thinking, “Oh, is this Katherine Johnson from Hidden Figures?” (That’s what I know her as, but I know she was an important person before the movie, the movie is just what made me aware of her)
Load More Replies...Oh you know she did! So sad. My grandmother was an amazing calculus and trigonometry teacher starting in the 50s and she was screwed over because the men were "worth more pay."
Load More Replies...Did you guys see hidden figures? That movie was amazing. Katherine is remarkable
I did not know what the movie Hidden Figures was about until I watched it. It is one of the best movies made. My wife and I both love it. If you have not seen it yet, you need to put it on your must watch list.
If you don't know who this is and would like to know more, watch the movie "Hidden Figures". I froggin guarantee you will learn something!
While we all know the importance of great advertising, it seems to be one of those things that is easier said than done. Many billboards are simply passed by without being noticed at all, and plenty of ads on YouTube are skipped as soon as possible. But when an ad does stand out, you might want to snap a photo and share it online with fellow ad-enthusiasts. This subreddit, dedicated to “high quality images of advertisements,” has amassed an impressive 465k members over the last 12 years through sharing simply static images of brilliant ads.
We’ve also taken a trip to this subreddit, which is a bit smaller but shares a similar goal. “Only the most creative and mind-blowing marketing ideas and concepts belong here,” the group’s About Community states. And as it turns out, anything can be marketed in a fabulous way, from McDonald’s burgers to job opportunities to luxury cars. So whether you need an IKEA pillow or a reminder not to smoke cigarettes, you’re sure to find something on this list that will catch your eye.
Ford's Advertising After Women In Saudi Arabia Are Allowed To Drive
People forget how free the middle east was before religious tyranny, then exclaim how we are such better while walking behind them on the same path.
Yes, EXACTLY!!! The future of the US does not look very bright. I feel like things have gotten so far out of hand there's no way we can recover.
Load More Replies...I still don't understand why we treat Saudi Arabia and Iran differently. I know the historical reasons, but it still seems illogical.
It's entirely logical, sadly enough. It's money. The Saudis buy our weapons and sell us oil, so every time they want something, they just have to threaten to reduce the amount of oil they sell, or buy their fighter jets from China, and the U.S government rushes to fix it.
Load More Replies...It's such a shame that it took this long for it to be " allowed " however, PLEASE keep moving forward, just at a quicker pace, keep looking forward and not backwards....

We got a similar advertisement in Germany and there is actually a bus/driver included. I have to say that either way I think this is quite clever.

While advertising may seem simple to those of us who have only ever come across ads, rather than created them ourselves, it can actually be quite complex. According to Indeed, there are three main types of advertising: above the line, below the line and through the line. Above the line ads are not specifically targeted towards any group of people, but rather large, wide audiences. These include TV, radio and magazine ads which are sure to reach a wide variety of people.
Below the line ads have a target audience. These can include mailing lists, in-store ads and commercials created for specific programs where they’ll know their audience. And finally, through the line advertisements use a combination of both above and below the line techniques, often for brand-building campaigns. These are typically widely distributed and use cookies or digital data to give customers a personalized experience.
Burger King Tells People To Order From Mcd's
I actually worked in catering when I saw this ad during covid. I literally cried.
"restaurants employing thousands of staff really need your support" But the CEO is definitely not giving up his seven figure paycheck.
Jorge Gamboa, "The Tip Of The Iceberg" (Environmental Advert)
That is absolutely terrifying, when I was a child in the 70's we were told that using paper products bad for the envy due to deforestation and our fridges have off CFC-s as did any aerosolised products and it's completely the opposite, it kinda makes you think maybe humanity is the issue.
I don't know why you were downvoted, so here's an upvote. I was told the same thing--that plastic bags would save forests, and I read recently that that is what the man who invented them created them to do...but we use them like .... there's no tomorrow.
Load More Replies...The most common source of plastic trash in the oceans is from commercial fishermen.
This week's news included how we consume a credit card's worth of plastic each and every week. Who's hungry now?
I don't think there should be any jokes or stupid art to be made about plastic in oceans and other waters. It's already in our bodies, believe it or not. It's already way too late. Every day, 100 trucks of plastic end up in the sea. The planet is going to the abyss and we are laughing stupidly and shouting 'ooh' and 'aah' over a drawn plastic bag in the sea. You can downvote this comment. That happens more often with comments that you can't laugh at but in which the facts are presented without humor.
I don't think this is meant to be amusing, I think it is a warning
Load More Replies...I ask for paper bags every time I go to the grocery store. I just wish all places gave you a choice.
In some parts of the U.K. Kingdom there is usually a small bag fee that you have to pay if you do not bring your own recyclable bag. I currently live and work in the U.S. as an expat and see more and more stores no longer providing plastic bags but instead having shoppers pay a very small fee for a paper bag if they don't have their own shopping bags.

Indeed notes that it’s important for companies to focus on creating great advertising because it increases sales, informs customers, helps introduce new products, informs advertisers about their own competition, retains customers, increases employee morale, differentiates brands, increases customer trust, can help reach target customers, and explains company values. As crucial as it is to provide excellent service and products as well, advertising cannot be overlooked. And to keep your company from being overlooked, ads must be geared to attracting customers’ attention. It can be helpful to use “bright colors, jingles, sketches or clever taglines,” Indeed recommends, but anything out of the ordinary might be a great choice.

Donation Ad And Drop Off For USB Sticks To Send To North Korea
That's hilarious, thanks for pointing it out. For anyone struggling to find its the killer Kim in the top right.
Load More Replies...Computer ownership in North Korea is so expensive relative to earnings and strictly controlled, with every one needing to be licenced and registered with the government, that hardly anyone is going to be able to read these anyway.
They don’t all need to have one. A lot of North Koreans gather together, in secret, to watch things. There is a thriving black market, and many already have what is necessary to use these drives. North Koreans have been watching things from the outside world for many, many years. This isn’t new.
Load More Replies...I'd donate AFTER I erased my USB drive. I'd never trust anyone to do this vital step for me.

Please Don't Text And Drive
Similar one near me is “Don’t text and -drive- Die” with the drive auto-corrected to Die
Load More Replies...I know I'll be there in a wheelchair 🤪 (I fully support this ad tho, don't text and drive!!!)
The type of people who text and drive will not heed this message. They're the type of selfish idiot who already knows it's wrong, but thinks they're above having consequences. They don't learn until it's too late, unfortunately.
I wonder if instead of feeling they are above consequences, maybe they have the same mindset and attitude as my ex husband. He actually spoke these words out loud "I'm not a g*d-d@mn Neanderthal, I CAN multi-task, unlike all these other dumb@$$es on the road" -yeah he was obviously more intelligent, more talented, more coordinated, more etc than everyone else (the only thing "more" that he was, was self centered). Funny, he lost his driver's license.
Load More Replies...A great ad not only captivates audiences but also advocates for a product. It can be helpful to detail why exactly this brand is superior to competitors and what the advantages are of supporting this company. Advertisers should also focus on their target audience, and establish a consistent image. “Identify your target audience by reviewing sales history or demographic information about your customers or by distributing customer surveys,” Indeed explains. “Then design advertising that appeals to them using research and focus groups.” Consistent colors, fonts, logos, etc. can also help your brand become instantly recognizable by your customers.

Not the only one. Here in Australia recently they had to bring back a tv ad that showed a woman being thrown through the windscreen and ending up in a wheelchair because she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt. For some reason, there was an increase in people not wearing seatbelts 🤨
Load More Replies...I've lived long enough to have gone through 3 phases: no-seat belt, lap-belt, and presently, harness-belt. I prefer the third phase.
And Volvo invented, and was first to sell, the 3-point seatbelt. Detroit steadfastly resisted it. Grudgingly came out with lap belts 'bout 6 yrs later.

1963 Bronx Zoo, NYC “The Most Dangerous Animal In The World”
Except I wasn’t tryna be part of this T-T the adults, maybe, yeah. But I just got here, y’all
Load More Replies...Stated how I felt about this in my #23 comment. Humans: A destructive animal that was never an essential part of this planet's existence.
Well, it's correct. My zoo needs this. The STL zoo may be free, but it definitely makes money on those small sodas for $15.
I visited the Bronx Zoo in July 1979 and this is the final section of the 'nocturnal animals' building where before you go to each new section, you can read the description of what you can view. The lighting is reversed so the animals are experiencing night time. You are separated by glass and have to be silent so as not to frighten them. It came as a real shock and I got goose bumps.
While it’s important for companies to pump energy and resources into great, creative ads, advertising is so powerful that it can have positive or negative effects. So companies must be wary of running any ads that will hurt their businesses. According to Amped, bad advertising can alienate your customer base, ruin your brand image and sometimes even lead to lawsuits. In fact, one third of Americans say they refuse to purchase from brands who have previously released bad advertisements, even if the ads were later changed or removed.
Nikon Facedetect
hmm not to complain or anything but this plays on the brown people = jungle savages about to murder intrepid white explorer trope, so as an african i find it kinda racist...? Am I wrong?
Yeah, I don't really think this is a good ad 1) I genuinely thought those were animal eyes in the bushes until I read your comment 2) who's taking the pic? If the guy set it up to take a pic of himself it gives the vibe of an entitled and ignorant tourists/"adventurer" that's oblivious to his surroundings, buuuut who has a good camera 3) it 100% plays up the idea of "wild savages"
Load More Replies...On the one hand, the ad might appear rather racist. On the other hand, digital cameras are notoriously bad at detecting the faces of darker skinned people, so... if the product works as advertised, it is a net positive for PoC.

Liking can increase the interaction on the post though, which will get it to spread more, which will in turn get more people to see it. It's definitely not as helpful as say, direct donating, but it certainly can help in It's own way
Load More Replies...Charities shouldn't even have to exist. All good causes should be ring-fenced and given money to by governments so that they can all be funded sufficiently. "But money doesn't grow on trees!" No, most of it is just numbers on computers. We invented money. It has no value unless we say it does. Money can be created out of thin air.
Also a bold way to say "It costs money to vaccinate kids against life-threatening diseases cause SOME GOVERNMENT won't pass universal healthcare and tax the rich properly to pay for it."
I have not seen this ad in the US (of course with the currency changed to the local one).
One example of bad advertising that companies must steer clear of is false advertising. “This is when a business uses baseless, misleading, or dishonest content to market or promote products/services,” Amped explains. “No marketing team is perfect and mistakes can occur, but when paired with deliberate ignorance and possible intent to appear clever in the eyes of the public, the result is false advertising. Some advertisements miss the point by misleading their audience and in turn leaving a sour taste in the mouths of consumers. Over time, negative ads can lead to biases about brands by everyday people.”

Barilla Noodles Ad For New Year!
This ad appeared in the background of an Avengers movie. There was a huge conspiracy theory. Its hilarious. Now when someone is getting crazy I say "its pasta" and walk away.
Ok. Here's the scoop: in the movie Captain America: The First Avenger, there was a scene in a city with a lot of ads on the buildings. And there was a Corona beer ad kinda sorta in front of this ad in the same shot. People mistook the pasta firework for a picture of a virus and freaked out about it, saying that it all was planned/predicted. Cause, yk, Corona. The Police Throwing Paper Airplanes Through Open Windows To Warn People About Burglars
Yeah. That made it a bit difficult to decipher the meaning of the headline. Homonyms, people. Choose wisely.
Load More Replies...This would scare me too much and I'd be on the constant lookout for flying burglars
It might help some people to fly the paper airplane right back into police headquarters with this message scrawled on it: "In this neighborhood, we have our windows open at night because it's the only way we can cool out homes in the summer, as we can't afford air conditioning. We'd rather be robbed than die. How many air conditioners could have this advertising campaign paid for, I wonder?"
If anyone throws anything through an open window in my home, they better not announce who they are. This is rude and inconsiderate. How do they know my window is not open because I’m painting? What if I burned the roast and need to air the house out? What if it’s a gorgeous day outside and I want to air out my home for the first time in months? Don’t throw garbage through my window because you think you can.
Whoa there, calm down. No need to get your panties in a bunch over something that will never happen to you.
Load More Replies...... Letting the days go by (am I the only one who heard this?)
If it’s a nice day, I’m going to have my window open. I refuse to live in fear. Let people have their windows open. God damn. Unless of course it was when people weren’t home. If the home owner(s) wasn’t/weren’t home, then it makes sense. Shut your windows before you leave home. 👍
Hey, maybe they were throwing paper aeroplanes, and decided that it wasn't effective enough, so they then actually threw open windows. Like, frames and panes and all.
About Autism
So true, we were lucky the health visitor picked up on the fact our son didn't meet some milestones. It lead to him being diagnosed as autistic 2 years later just before he started primary school. Having that diagnosis made all the difference as he has an EHCP and the school really look after him.
I will always be grateful to the primary school teacher who picked up on my son's autism, we were new parents and had no idea his behaviour was not normal for his age. Once we knew what was going on we were all (him included) so much better able to deal with it and make the right choices. Thank you Mrs Roberts!

Many girls young and old are still waiting.
Same for me. Only recently I did a test (I would say I have social anxiety) and finally they said I didn't have autism. The test was a bit ridiculous (they asked me to talk to them when the reason I'm there is exactly that) and it was on a zoom call. All that just cause I wanted a psychologist or something like that. Just found out I am high functioning autistic (neurodivergent), when I tried to get my severe allergies taken care of. Only to find out my very physical symptoms are stress related from forcing myself to work around my issues instead of working with them. Really hoping its not an auto immune disorder.

Yes but they probably increased their reach by clever use of it so the results they're looking for will be way better than had they done a standard ad, so the cost efficiency will be way better.
Load More Replies...Rich people don't care about that. What the water companies need to do is put a limit on how many gallons a household can use in one day and then shut it off. During the CA drought, all the rich a$$holes were filling their pools, running their fountains and watering their vast properties. They'd go though 100,000 gallons a day. That should not be possible, it should have been cut off at a certain point. But if you have the money, as it stands, the rules don't apply to you.
Unfortunately, too many people don't know the difference between want and need.

Cigarette Packaging Done Right
And yet the companies continue to make and sell it. I doubt that seeing this is really going to change people's minds. They already know the consequences of their actions. It is still a powerful message, though.
Yeah, when I still smoked, I would have bought these just to show off the gimmick to anyone and everyone, it would not have stopped me from smoking at all. The sad fact is, financial necessity is the only thing that stopped me. They taxed cigs to over $10 per pack and that was way too expensive to sustain a habit, so I switched to Juul (much cheaper, "safer") which they basically panic regulated out of existence in my state. I had to quit, but never really wanted to.
Load More Replies...They’ve literally got pictures of cancer effects on cigarette packets. And people still smoke. So I don’t think that this ad will make a difference.
As long as people are thinking of cancer as an abstract possibility, it's unfortunately not such an effective deterrent against smoking. Ugly imagery is more effective.

Bloom Supermarkets - Charlotte, North Carolina
Am I just dumb? Is this an intentional part of the ad? (please only address the second question! 😁)
"The first step of the marketing campaign was putting up the billboard that showed six jumbo muffins with the Bloom Supermarket logo. Next a junker Kia automobile was casually parked underneath the billboard. It looked authentic, with a For Sale sign, $1000 price tag and a phone number. The number, unbeknownst to viewers, rang at the advertising agency. The billboard company let drivers get used to the billboard and car combo for 10 days. Then came the denouement. At 3 in the morning, a crew came by to crush the Kia using a wrecking ball." - "They bolted a giant muffin on the car’s roof to make it look like the muffin fell off the billboard and onto the car. The agency got hundreds of calls from commuters to tell them that the car was crushed by a falling muffin. Local media played up the story. It even helped sales at a nearby gas station, where people bought disposable cameras to get a picture."
Load More Replies...So, they advertised that their muffins are not only big, but rock hard? Not a good selling point.

Blood Donation "You Can Be Someone's Hero!"
I really don't think someone who gained his powers from radioactive blood poisoning should be giving blood.
My mom, who will be 90 this year, prior to be told she couldn't donate due to her age, she had been given an award for being a ten gallon blood donor. As regular has someone would make a haircut appointment, my mom had her next donation appointment set before leaving the building she just donated at. Some areas, countries, allow payment for donations, where she lives did not allow payment. She truly gave from her heart until they told her she was no longer allowed to donate due to her age.
Please, people, also sign up to get yourself HLA typed, so you can donate bone marrow to leukemia patients! DKMS does it in Germany ❤️
Nobody wants my blood. 🥺 With the most usual bloodtype in my country (A+) they never run out....
Nor me! If you’ve ever had chronic fatigue, you can’t donate in the UK, I just found out about that. Which made me laugh as so many health professionals don’t take it seriously, but it’s serious enough for the blood banks not to want you, even if there’s a shortage. So what’s different about the blood of people with chronic fatigue….?
Load More Replies...I took this ad at face value without overthinking it. Artful and inspiring.
If you need another reason, I've heard that people who donate blood regularly live longer, healthier lives. It reduces "oxidative stress." Basically, you get that old, nasty, rusty iron out of your body and make new blood.

99% of porn sets unrealistic standards and is made strictly for the male gaze. It features professionals who perform acts that men will then expect from their partners, rather than having organic interactions that result from real intimacy. Porn is also very desensitizing. Men will often need to watch increasingly hardcore/kinky content to achieve the same arousal. This means that "vanilla" sex with an actual woman won't be enough to get them off. And the same can happen as a result of being overexposed to women with "perfect", nearly hairless bodies. There's also ethical concerns about how women are treated in porn. Yes, they are (usually) consenting adults who are being paid, but they are still subject to rough handling and they are still just *acting*. It's a job for them, it's not a great time. Knowing this, I wonder how men can possibly enjoy watching a woman pretend to like being slapped around, choked, etc. Even if it's not that rough, why watch someone who's faking it?

But not the usual click if you are over 18 BS, through a system that scans your ID. This is done through LA wallet, a program where you can store ID, Vax cards, insurance, etc. But you can’t use it with an out of state ID! So if you live in LA and have an out of state ID you can’t access pornhub from an in state IP address. At least that’s what my friend told me.
I personally think age verification is fantastic but it sucks for your "friend" that they can't access it with an out of state ID.

It is true. When you sleep, you don't smell anything and that makes the fire even scarier. This hits hard. I was my disabled dad's caregiver for 21 years. I loved him tremendously, but I lost my 20s and most of my 30s. Being a caregiver is exhausting, physically and mentally, and caregivers often break down too... but there's no one to help take care of THEM :(
New Marmite Billboard Ad, UK
I should probably go to sleep. I'm tired. When I first looked at this one, it looked like an explosion of... uh... post-Taco Bell rectally-extruded human waste matter. XD
I'm not tired, it still looks like that.

Mcdonald’s Minimalistic Typographical Ad
(gonna be that guy!) A Big Mac also has onion - 'two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, ONION, on a sesame seed bun...' (thank you tv commercials from the early 80s 🙄)
This is a UK McDonalds ad, not an American McDonalds ad (hence the use of the word "gherkin" instead of "pickle".) Perhaps they made a choice to leave out the onions in the ad, or perhaps the ingredients are slightly different in the UK.
Load More Replies...pickles != gherkins. Gherkin = picked cucumber. You also get pickled: olives, herring, onions, garlic, turnip, chili, etc.
You're not wrong, but where I live "pickle" is synonymous with "pickled cucumber". I once ordered a sandwich with "pickled peppers", and the worker was seriously confused by my use of the word "pickled" instead of calling them "pepperoncini" or just "peppers". (edit: And most people here probably wouldn't know what a gherkin is either.)

It's not a real parking spot though. It only exists in the ad.

For People Who Want To Lose Weight And Stay In Shape
While it is absolutely admirable to want to get healthier and lose weight if you are overweight or obese and it is affecting your health, I personally believe that that "exit" door is... a little TOO narrow to be realistic XD
If someone wants to diet, lose weight, be healthier, and have a overall better feeling about themselves, how could that offend you? Just because you don't like something, that doesn't make it offensive. I don't like Panera, but I would never think to throw the word "offensive" when I drive past one. If you don't like something, move along and carry on, they didn't create Weight Watchers in 1963 only to hope to offend you 60 years later.

Um . . . the wording there? True though, almost every morning i just wake up as myself.
It's a bit hinky, true. I'd prefer it if it said "Nothing wakes you up as does Nescafe" or "Nothing wakes you up as Nescafe does" instead. In purely literal form, it's not incorrect - think of the sentence, "Nothing smells as bad as garbage" - it does make sense. But it sounds a bit off and I think they'd have been better served by sticking the word "does" in there XD

Not a real ad. No company would ever allow the use of their trademarks in a rival company's advertisement. And using them without permission would be illegal (copyright and trademark infringement.)
Under U.S. law, use of a competitor's trademark in accurate and non-deceptive comparative advertising is legal and does not constitute trademark infringement

Got to watch out for those jinn constantly trying to pick your whole car up.
For those wondering, this is an advertisement that speaks to the aerodynamic design of the Tatra (the car on the bottom) vs. a competitor's less-aerodynamic car on the top :) The TATRA logo at the very top shows the "streamlines" that split and flow around the "airfoil" shape of the logo itself (similar to how a plane's wing shape works.)
Seriously who is the downvote troll

To me this shows just how fake people can be online, and that seemingly "professional" people could be totally irresponsible.

OMG. As a classical music buff I love this ad. Now try "the wasps" by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
This would encourage me NOT to use it! Is it a ecology organisation making a point about biodiversity and the importance of insects as pollinators? Or am I reading too much into this?

Yeah, they might be implying that you could wear these on airplanes/public transport and get relief from other peoples' screaming children/babies, but the implication I get from the visuals is that this parent is wearing them and ignoring her OWN screaming babies :/

Saw the Blue Man Group in Vegas many years ago. They came out to the lobby for photos with the audience after the show. I very shyly approached one of them with some paper and asked if I could have an autograph, expecting the guy to scribble on the paper with a blue marker. Instead, he KISSED the paper, leaving a BLUE "kiss" print as the "autograph" (from the facepaint)! XD Very special and hilarious experience.

Didn't BP quite literally just make an article identical to this one?
Years ago they used to show the Clio award winners to the public in San Francisco. At first it was limited to people who worked in advertising. But there was such a demand for those people's friends that they figured out there was a big market for it and opened it to the public, running them for (eventually) two whole weeks. They included print, video, and radio ads and the audience responded vocally, especially to evil companies. But then some Hollywood types bought the broadcast rights and started showing them on TV. But of course they only showed the 'nice' video ones, none of the others that gave the whole thing substance. It lasted 2-3 seasons before they pulled the plug and it was never presented again.
