“What If We Cared About Those Living In Poverty As Much As We Care About Celebrities?”
Simple: Celebrity worship keeps people hypnotized into believing that they too can and will be rich and/or famous someday INSTEAD of realizing that we all can have nice comfortable lives IF we taxed all the billionaires and millionaires out of existence! Call it whatever you want, but I don't care. I'm done seeing my fellow humans SUFFER while the Musks and Bezos of the world get richer and richer!
One Child Is Holding Something That's Been Banned In America To Protect Them
This is f*****g sad and embarrassing as an American. Republicans have the blood of children on their hands.
There is a *LOT* of blood on our politicians' hands. Wars, COVID, Jim Crow, war on drugs, Reaganomics, inadequate sex "education", ... (edit: rephrased & expanded)
Load More Replies...A kid could swallow a small object and die, being hit with a small object that travels nearly four times faster than sound is so much safer! /S
What about the small objects that fit in the big object? Surely bullets are also a choking hazard!
Load More Replies...Just 5min ago I read news that a 33weeks pregnant mom was shot dead by her 2yo. 3 loaded weapons have been found inside their house. Insane.
Ah yes, the people who think that guns don't kill people, but books can make you gay.
That image and text is very powerful, I live in the UK so I only read about the mass shootings, however, banning a f***ing chocolate egg, seriously, what the AR- Kinder that fires 100 chocolate shells per minute?? Seriously messed up priorities....
Small toys are choking hazard, which is why in Europe they label them for children 3 and up. Meanwhile the USA feeds their children countless E numbers the EU banned years ago...
Load More Replies...That child could swallow the toy in that giant capsule that they can easily see. Won't someone please think of the children!? Meanwhile, so many innocent lives are ended far too earlier by gun violence and the damned United States does absolutely nothing about it. It's always the same old "thoughts and prayers". I feel that people have gotten so desensitized to gun violence and it it truly horrifying as it seems to happen almost every day. I truly wonder about this country as an expat working and living here...
It is indeed horrifying that there are enough politicians in office who disregard the majority wishes in spite of being elected representatives. There are others fighting back and they need our support, including the politicians that will genuinely represent the majority, and organizations like the one who took out the ad (Moms Demand Action).
Load More Replies...Kinder eggs are available in the USA because they're now packaged differently. The toy and the candy are packaged separately. I've been buying them for my kids for a few years now.
And it still isn‘t the same thing. Those things are called Kinder joy over here. We have both versions. Plus lots of knock offs
Load More Replies...The same people who (apparently) aren't scared of guns being in public circulation are terrified of a woman having rights. And no, it's not the Taliban- by name, at least.
Yup, my best friend, while at school with me, was shot and killed by a KINDER EGG, obviously!
im not sure if this happened to you or not, but if it did im really sorry that it did, and people can be complete aholes. i hope you can recover, and my condelences 😔
Load More Replies...The ones with the eggs inside? Or the ones in two halves?
Load More Replies...Ban guns. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Physcopaths shouldn't have guns readily accessible to kill children if they feel like it. School shootings shouldn't be a thing. That shouldn't be a fear.
I'm not against guns. Don't think they should be banned, but we need to really think about how people are licensed to own a gun (s), registration of all guns, tracking of sales and who should be allowed to own as far as mental competency. Boundaries need to be set. Not here to argue.
Wow, if I shake my head anymore it is going to fall off my shoulders. What happened to our sanity??? Crazy sure as s%^t is taking over. We have to try harder to do something about this madness.
Yet Kinder surprise eggs are sold in Australia and there are very few injuries from the toys inside, there are more injuries from toys in the toy box at home, than in the Kinder surprise toys inside the eggs. Kinder surprise toys don't shoot and kill kids.
Kinder eggs are banned in the US because they contain a toy surprise inside that poses a choking and aspiration hazard for children younger than three years of age. The US Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act of 1938 prohibits confectionary products to contain a “non-nutritive object” like the toy or trinket in the Kinder egg. Kinder eggs may not be imported into the US and will be confiscated and destroyed. The traveler with Kinder eggs may also be allowed to take them back to Canada.
Thank you Republicans for making sure enough assault rifles are available for everyone to kill our children. But hey, no abortions right?!?!?
Guns and ammo should be far far harder to buy. Nobodys life will be changed by kinder eggs however.
We have kinder eggs though. They just have the toy in a separate compartment.
Oh god not the kinder egg! Those are extremely dangerous if used by irresponsible people!
I get confused when ever I hear these eggs are banned in the US because I buy them still for my son and see then at every store. Maybe it’s a joke I am not filled it on, but I have heard mentioned several times these are banned from US. Anyone know?
I believe it's illegal to put a toy in a chocolate candy in the USA (unlike every other country in the world). But years later Kinder changed their design that now separates the chocolate so the toy isn't encapsulated. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that's the gist of the story. The point is that Americans' priorities are ****** up.
Load More Replies...One child is holding something that the other child wants. The other child is holding something to get what the other child has.
Americans train their children at a very early age. Gun culture is simply horrifying...but its theirs.
That's it. Just keep your head buried in the sand. As long as you can't see it and it's not happening to you then it must be nothing but lies, am I right? Just keep doing what you're doing, Rick! Maybe one day us "liberals" will cease to exist in your world because one day you might find yourself to be a victim to a mass shooting. What's unfortunate is that even then you'll still think AR-15's should be accessible to the general public. We're not the one's drinking the "kool-aid," sir.
Load More Replies...A kinder egg contains a smaller plastic egg with a toy inside that. They aren't made for babies, and parents should watch their kids with toys that small. It's not a ridiculous comparison, it just seems your country picks and chooses when to protect children
Load More Replies...they changed the name and how it works. It's not half and half, one side being like a soft chocolate thing and the other side being the toy
Load More Replies...Ultimately it is legislation that in the first place decides which products are banned or regulated and how. The same people pass laws regarding both of these two things. The goverment bodies only act according to how they decide.
Load More Replies...Parents can go to the store next door and buy a gun. If they want an kinder egg, they need to travel to another country to get it. I don’t think here the problem was that the kid had a gun, the point was, that 2590 kids were killed by guns in US in 2021. That is an insane amount! Also, kids shouldn’t know how to handle a gun.

While we all know the importance of great advertising, it seems to be one of those things that is easier said than done. Many billboards are simply passed by without being noticed at all, and plenty of ads on YouTube are skipped as soon as possible. But when an ad does stand out, you might want to snap a photo and share it online with fellow ad-enthusiasts. This subreddit, dedicated to “high quality images of advertisements,” has amassed an impressive 465k members over the last 12 years through sharing simply static images of brilliant ads.
We’ve also taken a trip to this subreddit, which is a bit smaller but shares a similar goal. “Only the most creative and mind-blowing marketing ideas and concepts belong here,” the group’s About Community states. And as it turns out, anything can be marketed in a fabulous way, from McDonald’s burgers to job opportunities to luxury cars. So whether you need an IKEA pillow or a reminder not to smoke cigarettes, you’re sure to find something on this list that will catch your eye.

While advertising may seem simple to those of us who have only ever come across ads, rather than created them ourselves, it can actually be quite complex. According to Indeed, there are three main types of advertising: above the line, below the line and through the line. Above the line ads are not specifically targeted towards any group of people, but rather large, wide audiences. These include TV, radio and magazine ads which are sure to reach a wide variety of people.
Below the line ads have a target audience. These can include mailing lists, in-store ads and commercials created for specific programs where they’ll know their audience. And finally, through the line advertisements use a combination of both above and below the line techniques, often for brand-building campaigns. These are typically widely distributed and use cookies or digital data to give customers a personalized experience.

Indeed notes that it’s important for companies to focus on creating great advertising because it increases sales, informs customers, helps introduce new products, informs advertisers about their own competition, retains customers, increases employee morale, differentiates brands, increases customer trust, can help reach target customers, and explains company values. As crucial as it is to provide excellent service and products as well, advertising cannot be overlooked. And to keep your company from being overlooked, ads must be geared to attracting customers’ attention. It can be helpful to use “bright colors, jingles, sketches or clever taglines,” Indeed recommends, but anything out of the ordinary might be a great choice.

A great ad not only captivates audiences but also advocates for a product. It can be helpful to detail why exactly this brand is superior to competitors and what the advantages are of supporting this company. Advertisers should also focus on their target audience, and establish a consistent image. “Identify your target audience by reviewing sales history or demographic information about your customers or by distributing customer surveys,” Indeed explains. “Then design advertising that appeals to them using research and focus groups.” Consistent colors, fonts, logos, etc. can also help your brand become instantly recognizable by your customers.

While it’s important for companies to pump energy and resources into great, creative ads, advertising is so powerful that it can have positive or negative effects. So companies must be wary of running any ads that will hurt their businesses. According to Amped, bad advertising can alienate your customer base, ruin your brand image and sometimes even lead to lawsuits. In fact, one third of Americans say they refuse to purchase from brands who have previously released bad advertisements, even if the ads were later changed or removed.

One example of bad advertising that companies must steer clear of is false advertising. “This is when a business uses baseless, misleading, or dishonest content to market or promote products/services,” Amped explains. “No marketing team is perfect and mistakes can occur, but when paired with deliberate ignorance and possible intent to appear clever in the eyes of the public, the result is false advertising. Some advertisements miss the point by misleading their audience and in turn leaving a sour taste in the mouths of consumers. Over time, negative ads can lead to biases about brands by everyday people.”

According to Inkbot Design, some of the best advertising campaigns of all time include Nike’s “Just Do It,” Coca-Cola’s “Share a Coke,” and Dos Equis’ “The Most Interesting Man In The World.” It’s likely you can already picture these taglines or ads in your mind, as they were, and maybe still are, seemingly everywhere. They were simple, catchy, clever and encouraged people to quote them to keep the conversation going. They’re feel good ads that make customers want to support these companies, and they’ve been massively successful.

Another one of the most popular advertisements the world has ever seen was Old Spice launching “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like,” which starred Isaiah Mustafa and quickly became a viral hit with over 51 million views. “Old Spice’s social media campaign included personalized video responses from Mustafa to comments from fans on various social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter,” Inkbot Design explained. “In just two days, the company produced 186 funny, personalized videos viewed almost 11 million times. The campaign also helped Old Spice gain over 29,000 new Facebook fans and 58,000 new Twitter followers.”

Didn't BP quite literally just make an article identical to this one?
Years ago they used to show the Clio award winners to the public in San Francisco. At first it was limited to people who worked in advertising. But there was such a demand for those people's friends that they figured out there was a big market for it and opened it to the public, running them for (eventually) two whole weeks. They included print, video, and radio ads and the audience responded vocally, especially to evil companies. But then some Hollywood types bought the broadcast rights and started showing them on TV. But of course they only showed the 'nice' video ones, none of the others that gave the whole thing substance. It lasted 2-3 seasons before they pulled the plug and it was never presented again.
