That child could swallow the toy in that giant capsule that they can easily see. Won't someone please think of the children!? Meanwhile, so many innocent lives are ended far too earlier by gun violence and the damned United States does absolutely nothing about it. It's always the same old "thoughts and prayers". I feel that people have gotten so desensitized to gun violence and it it truly horrifying as it seems to happen almost every day. I truly wonder about this country as an expat working and living here...

There are others fighting back and they need our support, including the politicians that will genuinely represent the majority, and organizations like the one who took out the ad (Moms Demand Action).

Ban guns. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Physcopaths shouldn't have guns readily accessible to kill children if they feel like it. School shootings shouldn't be a thing. That shouldn't be a fear.

I'm not against guns. Don't think they should be banned, but we need to really think about how people are licensed to own a gun (s), registration of all guns, tracking of sales and who should be allowed to own as far as mental competency. Boundaries need to be set. Not here to argue.

Yet Kinder surprise eggs are sold in Australia and there are very few injuries from the toys inside, there are more injuries from toys in the toy box at home, than in the Kinder surprise toys inside the eggs. Kinder surprise toys don't shoot and kill kids.

Kinder eggs are banned in the US because they contain a toy surprise inside that poses a choking and aspiration hazard for children younger than three years of age. The US Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act of 1938 prohibits confectionary products to contain a “non-nutritive object” like the toy or trinket in the Kinder egg. Kinder eggs may not be imported into the US and will be confiscated and destroyed. The traveler with Kinder eggs may also be allowed to take them back to Canada.

I believe it's illegal to put a toy in a chocolate candy in the USA (unlike every other country in the world). But years later Kinder changed their design that now separates the chocolate so the toy isn't encapsulated. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that's the gist of the story. The point is that Americans' priorities are ****** up.

A kinder egg contains a smaller plastic egg with a toy inside that. They aren't made for babies, and parents should watch their kids with toys that small. It's not a ridiculous comparison, it just seems your country picks and chooses when to protect children

Parents can go to the store next door and buy a gun. If they want an kinder egg, they need to travel to another country to get it. Sharpie fine-tips are my go-to inking pens for drawing! I'm a lefty, so I tend to smudge inks that don't dry quickly, and Sharpies dry almost instantly. Plus the lines are crisp and don't bleed much. If I don't need lines that are super-thin (for which I'd use Microns), I'm actually quite fond of using Sharpies for my art!

This hits hard. I was my disabled dad's caregiver for 21 years. I loved him tremendously, but I lost my 20s and most of my 30s. Being a caregiver is exhausting, physically and mentally, and caregivers often break down too... but there's no one to help take care of THEM :(

Saw the Blue Man Group in Vegas many years ago. They came out to the lobby for photos with the audience after the show. I very shyly approached one of them with some paper and asked if I could have an autograph, expecting the guy to scribble on the paper with a blue marker. Instead, he KISSED the paper, leaving a BLUE "kiss" print as the "autograph" (from the facepaint)! XD Very special and hilarious experience.

Years ago they used to show the Clio award winners to the public in San Francisco. At first it was limited to people who worked in advertising. But there was such a demand for those people's friends that they figured out there was a big market for it and opened it to the public, running them for (eventually) two whole weeks. They included print, video, and radio ads and the audience responded vocally, especially to evil companies. But then some Hollywood types bought the broadcast rights and started showing them on TV. But of course they only showed the 'nice' video ones, none of the others that gave the whole thing substance. It lasted 2-3 seasons before they pulled the plug and it was never presented again.
