Medical science was able to create a birth control pill for men. It never made it past the clinical trial phase because the side effects were too bad. But they weren't nearly as bad as the side effects that women's birth control have.

The "fragile masculinity" which we are talking about isn't being shorter than a woman, yet thinking being shorter than a woman is humiliating, and therefore stand on something to seem taller than her. In my experience most guys who cry about women liking douchebags over nice guys are nice only on the surface. Once you get to know them they start showing their ugly side. This kind of thing can be really psychologically taxing to deal with it, because at first you're not sure what's happening. Perhaps some women go for douchebags, because that way they know what they're getting into from the get-go.

funny story. at work, I always hold doors open for people if I happen to be passing through around the same time. It's polite, and helps counteract the 'your just the guy that never lets me do anything fun' stigma. Any how, a while ago, there was this crazy lady who stopped as I'm holding the door, standing on the outside of the building in -20 deg. F weather to let me know that I wasn't going to get her phone number for holding the door open all the time. I politely informed her that I do it just to be polite and didn't really care. In the back of my mind, I was thinking "I'm really doing it because I don't want your crazy a*s standing behind me.'. (a friend in the building made the mistake of going out for drinks and ending up needing a restraining order.)

I don’t like this. If one word had been switched, people would be in outrage and this would be downvoted into oblivion. That one word is ‘masculinity’. If the caption had been “uh oh someone sent me a box of femininity again,” it would be awful and sexist. We need to think about situations with two sides (gender, race, etc). If the roles are switched, and it is still socially acceptable, then go ahead. But if its not socially acceptable with the roles switched, then the original way around is sexist/racist etc. this is coming from a girl. The solution to sexism and racism is not sexism and racism. It’s acceptance.

This was done to a bunch of construction workers that were known for catcalling women. They had a group of gay guys show up and start catcalling the construction workers. When the construction workers became angry at the unwanted attention, it finally donned on them why women find their behavior disgusting. I think every guy needs to go through this training. When I was in highschool, one of my teachers asked the class to sit whatever way we want, and she'd tell us what our position meant about our psychology or whatever. All the girls sat up straight with their legs snapped shut and their hands in their lap, and all the boys sat sprawled out with their legs up on the tables and arms behind their heads and stuff, and there was this one kid who kept bumping into me so I sprawled out just to be a d**k to him, and she said the way the girls were sitting meant they were insecure and felt they needed to close themselves off, and the boys were confident and s**t like that. Then she pointed out that I was the only girl not sitting like the others and the boys made fun of me for it for a week so I never sat like that again. They said some nasty, sexual stuff to me. Will never forget that.

There are still great men out there that have common sense, but sadly many of those in power positions are not such. And true feminist isn't about giving women MORE rights, but having EQUAL rights. When I play Fortnite and people hear me on voice chat, they act all surprised when they ask my gender and I answer that I'm a girl. Geez, people, Girls can play Fortnite too.

This article defeats its purpose. It just feels liie women should be treated as human but still less than men. This isn't empowering ... it's sad and not fulfilling the message well.

There are still great men out there that have common sense, but sadly many of those in power positions are not such. And true feminist isn't about giving women MORE rights, but having EQUAL rights. We don't hate on men, we hate on sexist misogynistic behavior. There are those who reject feminism and those who take it too far--neither of which are good. At the end of the day, we just need to be united and push for a better future for all regardless of sex, gender, sexuality, age, race, ethnicity, or any label.

Reading the comments 3 things are pretty clear to me: 1 - the word 'feminist' translates to man-hater to a LOT of people. 2 - BP seems to have a lot of incels. 3 - the division and generalisations of 'male' and 'female' makes people forget that everyone is a unique individual. Even identical twins have their own God damn personalities and preferences. (Sorry about formatting. On mobile)
