50 Memes From “Fight The Patriarchy” That Are So True They Might Make You Laugh And Cry (New Pics)
Feminism has come a long way over the past century. There are currently 30 women around the world serving as Heads of State in their respective countries, and women finally have the right to vote in nearly every single country in the world. But we’re still a long way from achieving true equality. And if you’re in the mood for some memes that might make you simultaneously laugh and cry, you’ve come to the right place, pandas.
We took a trip to Fight the Patriarchy on Facebook and gathered some of their best posts down below. This account is dedicated to calling out misogyny and injustice while still managing to maintain a sense of humor, so regardless of your gender, we hope you enjoy scrolling through this list. And be sure to upvote the memes that you find painfully accurate!

Wow. Thank you. Although it would be harsh being included in that if you were a widow.
Yes, my father was absent, he died when I was 9 months old
Load More Replies...I prefer children of an absentee parent, because it does go both ways. HOWEVER, we have to remember that not all absent parents are gone due to their own negligence. Some are dead, or in the hospital, etc. It's actually better to just refer to a child as a child and leave the parenting politics alone.
With absentee fathers, the important point is that that man is failing his kid. He won't financially or emotionally support them, doesn't see them or seldom sees them, won't or doesn't support the mother in raising them, whatever. For that small percentage of men who are totally vested in raising their children and spend 50% of the time and effort to care for them, or have their kids living with their mom and they support their mom and make the kids lives better, I think we should call those kinds of moms and dads "sharing parents" or call the kids the 'children of shared parents.'
Well, this implies that all single mothers were jilted by the fathers of their children. What if they simply decided to have a child on their own?
Jilted is not the appropriate word to use there. Dumped works better. If a woman decides to have a child on her own, without having any kind of contact with a man, that's usually because they've seen that having a man around is a handicap, not a bonus or a benefit. The definition of absentee is a person who is not present in a usual or expected place. So there is still an absentee father, but not one that the mother is willing to acknowledge, so I'm sure she'd be willing to take on the title of single mother without any complaint.
Load More Replies...Does feel like it would be better to change the view of the term used, rather than just change the term used as that brings up other issues (as can be seen by the posts). Sadly, though, it's hard to change people's views and takes way too long.
Load More Replies...If you have the proof maybe take it to court instead of misogynistic trauma dumping on BP.
Load More Replies...This creates bad feeling towards a father who is still in the picture just not married to the mother any longer. In fact in most divorces, the mother using this term would be a violation of the divorce agreement. And what about single father? It's not always the guy that's the a$$hole. Just because a woman is a single mother doesn't mean the father is absent.
This is disingenuous. Some women choose artificial insemination. When there are men involved in the conception, the men don't always know about the kids. Men are sometimes shut out of the kids' lives. Men in general are also forbidden from being involved in the decision to have the kid at all, meaning that the mother is clear going in that she will be raising that child alone. Given all of that, "children with single mothers" is a much more honest label.
And not all children of divorce or abandonment are from opposite s*x parents. But yes, this shift in language is vital! (Edited to add: HEY, CENSOR BOTS, THE WORD S E X IS ALSO A PHYSIOLOGICAL THING! 🤦♀️)
My mother once told me the story of how she was almost kidnapped by a man 3 times her age as a prevention story. Yeah, teenage boys can handle to learn about consent.
Nor were they allowed to have a credit card account of their own, either.
According to a 2020 survey from the Pew Research Center, only 61% of women in the United States consider themselves to be feminists. And unsurprisingly, women are more likely than men to assign positive characteristics to feminism, meanwhile men are more likely to consider it polarizing and outdated. But the reality is that there’s still a need for feminism today, even if you assume that it accomplished its goals because women have the right to vote, open a credit card and purchase birth control.
Let’s start with the gender pay gap. Currently, in the United States, women earn on average 85% of what men earn. And half of American workers believe that a major reason for this pay disparity is because women are treated differently by their employers. At the same time, women are less likely than men to be “the boss” at their job, despite the fact that nearly a third of women would like to be.
Yeah, If one day my worst enemy need a pad I would even go buy one for her !
One of the reasons for the wage gap is sexism in the workplace. The European Institute for Gender Equality reports that “less than half of EU citizens believe that gender equality has been achieved at work.” Meanwhile, 94% of EU citizens consider gender equality to be a fundamental right.
Yet for some reason, women still report receiving less feedback than men in the workplace and being interrupted more frequently during meetings than men. Moms are also expected to take time off work to care for their children more than their husbands, which can then be used against them when they’re up for a potential promotion. Women are even seen as less competent once they become mothers, despite the fact that most are juggling a career and the majority of the domestic labor in their household.
How can you mock my masculine strength like that! I'm crying now!
Read what you just said, Alyce. You don't care if people starve. You reserve the right to judge people and feel YOU have the right to put them into the 'can't work' and 'won't work' boxes. Your belief gives you the right to allow those people in your 'won't work' box to starve. You don't know if people have mental problems or are in constant pain, you just think you can look at someone and make a judgement. Your Christ said feed the hungry. Period. Don't sort the sheep from the goats. Just. Feed. Them. I know some real d***s that aren't much use to society, but they still deserve food and a safe place to sleep.
While anyone can become a victim of domestic violence, women are disproportionately targeted. The United Nations reports that nearly one in three women around the globe have been subjected to physical or intimate partner violence. And in 2023, over 51,000 women around the globe tragically lost their lives due to violence from their partner or a family member, accounting for 60% of all female homicides. Meanwhile, only 12% of male homicides are caused by a partner or family member.
"You'll end up alone with 4 cats, bla bla bla..." Yeah, and in a chalet in the Swiss Alps baby !
Tax the rich and give the money to the employees that did all the work.
In the United States, 81% of women report being the victims of gender-based harassment, while only 43% of men say they’ve experienced the same. There’s no question that this kind of harassment, which often leads to violence, is a problem across the board. But it’s naive to assume that feminism has completed its mission when women are still being targeted far more often than men.
And even more weird, since I turned 18 years old I haven't been publicly harassed or catcalled once...
That infuriates me. Yes I bought the BTS's Proof album for 65euros, but at least I don't DESTROY a city if my sport's team win or lose. (Remember Philadelphia)
When I was in college, a guy I dated (briefly) would wax poetic about walking the city streets in the middle of the night to “clear his head.” Couldn’t understand why I couldn’t do the same.
Now, if you’re wondering what you or the men in your life can do to help fight the patriarchy, HeForShe has some great suggestions. First, they note that men should start with questioning their own behavior and beliefs when joining the women’s rights movement. Many of us have been conditioned to believe certain stereotypes or have practiced harmful behavior without even realizing it. The sooner we unlearn those habits, the sooner we can help others eliminate them too.
Another step men can take is educating themselves about the women’s rights movement. This fight goes back hundreds of years, and learning about it can help men understand why women are so passionate about fighting for equality. At the same time, volunteering and supporting women’s organizations can go a long way. As long as you’re using your voice for good, you shouldn’t be afraid to speak up.
The full trilogy of "50 Shades". Books and movies. And that book from Christian's perspective.
I've experienced that but in reverse. I wanted her to come home sometimes and help be a mother to our children instead of running around all hours injecting an illegal stimulant. Apparently that made me a controlling A-Hole. Now she's just somebody that I used to know, a voice inside my head. I have the children. They get good grades, well adjusted, we're ok.
In the same vein, if you hear friends or family members making misogynistic comments or treating women inappropriately, call them out. Unfortunately, these people won’t always listen to what a woman has to say. But if they hear it from a man, they might be more eager to listen. Disassembling the patriarchy certainly won’t happen overnight, but if we keep chipping away at it, it will eventually crumble.

We were going to do it with my ex and he said "no" and you know what I did ? I said "okay" and we ate candies and watched a movie. See, it's truly that easy.
I fully agree. It angers me SO MUCH when a woman's nud3 get public and people shame her for taking that picture AND NOT THE GUY WHO PUBLISHED IT !!!
Always ask "why" when someone makes an awful statement, and see them crumble or stop answering you.
The "friend zone" bullsh!t is just a way to guilt women into never rejecting men and making them feel like monsters if they do. I'm so ready to d!e on that hill that I have the shovel already prepared to dig.
I hate that most men only talk about men's mental health issues during women's mental health events. Please, if you want to talk about your cause then create your event, don't parasite another one ! Like the international women's right days I always see a thousand of "what about men's day ?" and EVERY YEAR we tell them that it's November 19th. EVERY YEAR. They never celebrate it.
As an alpha male I find it really cringeworthy when men feel the need to announce their alpha male status.
I believe that I am solely responsible for many 'no profanity' clauses.....
I saw someone say once that "men say they want kids the same way a child wants a puppy".
If you want a relationship to work out happily, notice the verb used.
At one time I wanted to be an FBI investigator, but the answer to "who is committing all the murders" would be whomever I was dating at the time.
Yeah... I'm not all "America is evil and we must burn it to the ground," but to willfully ignore slavery, interment camps, child labor, and the forced relocation of Native Americans, amongst others, dooms us to repeat those same mistakes.
Because men like that are terrified of rejection. They define their own masculinity with outside props, I.e. big car, how much they can drink, etc. The biggest prop of all is also the one that can reject them and make them feel emasculated because their sense of masculinity doesn't come from within. Ergo they resent/hate women for the power women have over them, even though they see women as inherently inferior.
It was designed around the assumption that there is an adult in the household who doesn't go to work.
You forgot the part where he calls you pretty, then a wh0re when you say you're not interested.
Given that biology is a big squishy spectrum of "huh here's a variation we didn't know existed" a brain existing in a body that doesn't match it seems like a predictable enough variation that I do not understand people's big hangup with Trans. Seems like a normal variation bound to happen.
It should come as no surprise why as soon as women were able to get educated and support themselves, marriage rates dropped. Probably why those Shia ruled countries dont allow girls to be educated. Its the easiest way to keep women dependent on men, that way men cant be rejected.
Funnily enough, while swathes of societies not brought up in milk drinking cultures do just fine and often outlive the rest of us.
But when you do have the same hobbies you get told that "it's not for you", and if your interest as a woman is gaming then OH BOY are you not ready for the harassment if you play online games.
I don't want to live in a world where I feel the need to upvote basically each and everyone of these posts. Let's start talking to our precious little sons about consent and mental health already.
Can we make Ellinor the World President? She is one of the few Pandas I think I would like to be friends with in real life.
TBH I think you’re pretty amazing too! You don’t need to scream “misandry” and “not all men”, but really understand women’s frustration. So thank you!
Load More Replies...When I worked in auto parts women would come in and usually start off with 1) I know y'all hate waiting on women or 2) I need something but don't know what it's called, can you come out and look at it (usually followed by the first statement). I'd tell them the truth, I prefer waiting on women. Generally a woman will listen to what I say when I tell them what IT is and what it does and if that really is their issue. Guys make up names for things, argue about it when you tell them what it really is and does. and often refuse to accept the real problem when you tell them what it is and why. Now I'm not saying women or men should always listen to what a tech, mechanic or salesperson tells them, especially if it's something major, but at least listen. If you don't listen, you will never spot the real scammer.
