50 Memes From “Fight The Patriarchy” That Are So True They Might Make You Laugh And Cry (New Pics)
Feminism has come a long way over the past century. There are currently 30 women around the world serving as Heads of State in their respective countries, and women finally have the right to vote in nearly every single country in the world. But we’re still a long way from achieving true equality. And if you’re in the mood for some memes that might make you simultaneously laugh and cry, you’ve come to the right place, pandas.
We took a trip to Fight the Patriarchy on Facebook and gathered some of their best posts down below. This account is dedicated to calling out misogyny and injustice while still managing to maintain a sense of humor, so regardless of your gender, we hope you enjoy scrolling through this list. And be sure to upvote the memes that you find painfully accurate!

Wow. Thank you. Although it would be harsh being included in that if you were a widow.
Yes, my father was absent, he died when I was 9 months old
Load More Replies...I prefer children of an absentee parent, because it does go both ways. HOWEVER, we have to remember that not all absent parents are gone due to their own negligence. Some are dead, or in the hospital, etc. It's actually better to just refer to a child as a child and leave the parenting politics alone.
With absentee fathers, the important point is that that man is failing his kid. He won't financially or emotionally support them, doesn't see them or seldom sees them, won't or doesn't support the mother in raising them, whatever. For that small percentage of men who are totally vested in raising their children and spend 50% of the time and effort to care for them, or have their kids living with their mom and they support their mom and make the kids lives better, I think we should call those kinds of moms and dads "sharing parents" or call the kids the 'children of shared parents.'
Well, this implies that all single mothers were jilted by the fathers of their children. What if they simply decided to have a child on their own?
Jilted is not the appropriate word to use there. Dumped works better. If a woman decides to have a child on her own, without having any kind of contact with a man, that's usually because they've seen that having a man around is a handicap, not a bonus or a benefit. The definition of absentee is a person who is not present in a usual or expected place. So there is still an absentee father, but not one that the mother is willing to acknowledge, so I'm sure she'd be willing to take on the title of single mother without any complaint.

Load More Replies...My mother once told me the story of how she was almost kidnapped by a man 3 times her age as a prevention story. Yeah, teenage boys can handle to learn about consent.
When I was assaulted (without consent), I went home and told my mom. She said, “and what did you do?” In other words, “you asked for it”. Charming.
Strangely, my mother never talked to me or my three brothers about consent. She never had to. I still find it difficult to understand why men don't naturally adopt a respectful approach to women, but apparently I was one of the few brought up correctly.
There is a lot to say fro how a father treats his wife. If the children experience that dad treats and approaches mom (and other women in general) with respect, it will form their basic attitude. Boys as well as girls will learn that women deserve as much respect as men do. By the way, this goes both ways. And the way you speak about the other one when they are not around also weighs in considerably.
Load More Replies...Exactly, and not touching anybody without consent can be taught without relatin it to sexuality. You can start by teaching children to ask people if they can, for instance, hug them or hold their hand.
Load More Replies...It would be so much better if parents taught their sons at an early age how to treat females. I've seen dads encouraging their sons to splash girls, hit, push, chase, everything mean, and tell him "Good boy." like a dog. Actually, I've seen people hold dogs to a higher standard. I've heard mothers tell another they're "glad to have a boy" just because HE won't come home pregnant. Meaning, that mom will give her son the mentality it's okay to ditch responsibilities of a father.
Girls too. The "if they can pinch me, I can pinch them" crowd in the gen x and boomers is scary. Not for me (saggy and old enough), but the younger guys are too often getting handsy older women hounding them thinking it's ok
Load More Replies...It's wild to me to think anyone would consider teaching consent a bad thing (like GPdbag below). This was one of the first things I taught to both of my kids (boy & girl) right along with sharing - "hey, no means no." Consent is involved in so many parts of our lives and should be a basic social construct.
Nor were they allowed to have a credit card account of their own, either.
I knew a lady who had worked in the credit department at Sears since she was a teenager. She married, had kids and kept working at Sears. She bought everything she could at Sears to get the employee discount and finally opened a charge account to make it easier. After 10 years, she got divorced. She quickly found that her Sears credit card had been canceled because she was no longer married. At 30+ years of age, she had to have her father co-sign a new credit application so she could keep her card. No recognition that she was an employee in the actual Sears credit department all those years. Crazy!
I remember my mom having to ask my dad for groceries and other things
In Denmark it was 1857 for unmarried women and 1925 for married women. Unmarried women could get they own credit card at 25 years of age. But married women had to have their husbands concent
Better, but still, married women seeking to leave the marriage would have the same problem.
Load More Replies...In the UK in 1967, when my mother was pregnant with me, she had a serious medical problem and the doctors wanted to abort me to save her life. It was my father who was asked to give consent.
This is flat out wrong. Women had bank accounts and charge cards long before 1974.
NO, they did not in the US!! My father died in 1965, my mother had to get co-signners ( men) from our church to help her get credit cards and bank loans to help her out with being able to pay her own bills!! So, I don’t know what it is that YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT when ee actually lived through this unfairness as kids & worried about whether we would be able to pay all our bills on time!!! 🤔😡🤬
Load More Replies...According to a 2020 survey from the Pew Research Center, only 61% of women in the United States consider themselves to be feminists. And unsurprisingly, women are more likely than men to assign positive characteristics to feminism, meanwhile men are more likely to consider it polarizing and outdated. But the reality is that there’s still a need for feminism today, even if you assume that it accomplished its goals because women have the right to vote, open a credit card and purchase birth control.
Let’s start with the gender pay gap. Currently, in the United States, women earn on average 85% of what men earn. And half of American workers believe that a major reason for this pay disparity is because women are treated differently by their employers. At the same time, women are less likely than men to be “the boss” at their job, despite the fact that nearly a third of women would like to be.
Boys will be boys, but a respectable boy would know when he is responsible and behave accordingly. Otherwise, shame on the parents who did not teach them. Anyway, they stop being boys at 18. A real man would not be afraid to take responsibility for his own actions.
You sort of hit the nail but didn't notice. Good parents are raising men. Bad parents raise boys that never progress to be men. Boys will be boys. They will be immature, short sighted, and disrespectful. Some of those boys may learn to be men. The term 'toxic masculinity' had been overused to the point that a whole generation of young boys are no longer listening. There is no such thing as toxic masculinity, but there are boys who act like immature asshats because they never learned how a real man should behave. There are boys who die in their 80s who never learned how to be men. I've met many.

My stepmother was quite a bit younger than my father. My father retired and she was still working. She was offered a promotion that would make her the first woman to reach this particular level (it was a government job) but it involved her going on a course. She didn’t take the promotion because my father insisted that - and I quote - “men only think one thing about women that go by themselves on business trips“. This was not that long ago. This is why we have to do what we do. We are one trump administration move away from not being able to open bank accounts for ourselves again
I've never had any problems which women in professional situations. Most have been better than men IMO. Probably because they've had a tougher time getting there. In Australia we also commonly have female tradies, and every one I've come across has been great.
Agreed. My husband is in charge of hiring contractors and ordering things for his job, and almost always chooses to hire or work with female contractors over their male counterparts. Not because he's a feminist, but because by and large they are better and more knowledgeable.

Load More Replies...If a total stranger needed them and I didn't have any on me, I'd happily dash to the nearest shop to buy some for her.
I work in a thrift shop, sorting. It's astounding how many bags and purses contain unused tampons and pads. Whenever I see it, I think to the comments on BP, how women are voicing how expensive these are. I wonder why they were just left in the bags and purses. I guess forgotten. Unfortunately we can't sell anything not sealed in it's original box, for hygiene safety purposes. It's crazy that the feminine products that do come in, inside and sealed in the box or bags, are the same ones handed out for free at Klinic or schools, or somewhere, and the thrift shops still decide to charge a few bucks for them.
Put them in a little box on the counter, with a sign, letting women take when needed!
Load More Replies...In Australia sanitary pads and tampons have a "luxury tax" added to the price by the government! Only a man would decide that that was a luxury. 🙄
I got told by my parents that a protest group of women (?attempted ?actually got into) the Prime Minister of the day's office with the intention of freebleeding on his chair to make a point how menstruation and menstrual products are not a luxury but a necessity for women. Not sure if they got arrested or stopped so if any Aussies know the outcome would love to know
Load More Replies...I'm a guy. I'm a married man, in fact, and have two sisters. And if someone came to me needing a menstrual product, I would help them get one in whatever way I could, same as i would if someone needed a bandaid. It's just proper manners.
Yes I also train my teen daughters to carry extra for themselves and others because you never know who might need it and it's good to help a fellow lady in need.
I have had women's sanitary supplies in my house for decades even though I live alone and not involved (or plan to be) with a woman. I've received compliments from numerous women over the years that I accept with a slight twinge of guilt because it started with a gf moving out and leaving them behind. (Not because I was aware enough to see the necessity) Since then I've always had both tampons and pads around, just like I have extra toothbrushes.
One of the reasons for the wage gap is sexism in the workplace. The European Institute for Gender Equality reports that “less than half of EU citizens believe that gender equality has been achieved at work.” Meanwhile, 94% of EU citizens consider gender equality to be a fundamental right.
Yet for some reason, women still report receiving less feedback than men in the workplace and being interrupted more frequently during meetings than men. Moms are also expected to take time off work to care for their children more than their husbands, which can then be used against them when they’re up for a potential promotion. Women are even seen as less competent once they become mothers, despite the fact that most are juggling a career and the majority of the domestic labor in their household.
But . . . but . . . you are not trying to make yourself appealing to all men! What if you end up alone with five cats? Have you thought about that? Hmm?

You reserve the right to judge people and feel YOU have the right to put them into the 'can't work' and 'won't work' boxes. Your belief gives you the right to allow those people in your 'won't work' box to starve. You don't know if people have mental problems or are in constant pain, you just think you can look at someone and make a judgement. Your Christ said feed the hungry. Period. Don't sort the sheep from the goats. Just. Feed. Them. I know some real d***s that aren't much use to society, but they still deserve food and a safe place to sleep.

About how someone was using a food share (govt assistance for disabled in my area) but he "sure didn't look disabled" and she was so tired of those "thieves". Reminded her not all disabilities are visible. She countered "well, he could push carts or bag groceries (she works at a grocer)". Informed her that even if they could, an entry level wage at a grocery store wasn't enough to pay rent. Her argument? "Well I did it!" --- folks, she did do it... While also collecting $2,100 a month in social security. Needless to say we haven't talked to her since, and we're so much happier for it.
Good for you! I see so many people excuse this kind of talk/behavior or brush it off because someone is family.

I’m willing to pay for his relocation & a year of his housing if she or her company will hire him at least part time. You know, so he can work and then reap what he sows. I’m sure the assisted living home he’s currently in will be glad for him to pull himself up by the bootstraps and earn his way in life. I’m certain Alyce, her coworkers, the community in which he works and the neighborhood where he lives will adjust to helping him manage events & episodes without complaint or difficulty.
I'm thinking Alyce saying she's working three jobs is a big fat porky.

Talk about climbing the ladder and pulling it up after you!! Oh wait. There were investigators looking into JD's supposed poverty stricken family, and guess what? The b*****d lied. Grandparents, parents had money. Rentals, generational wealth, you name it. A politician lied! Go figure.
While "Christians" AKA Christian Nationalists are the worst at interpreting what Jesus was teaching, the more progressive interpretations are not that good either. Most of what progressives think that Jesus said is just reinterpretation of what he actually said. First, his message wasn't "to the world", it was to his fellow Jews. Second, anything that he said that contradicts the traditional Judaism of the period was added on long after he was k****d by the Romans. Trying to understand Jesus's teaching without understanding the powers and processes and different streams in Judaism is impossible, yet that is what most Christians of all streams try to do. Jesus was born a Jew, lived as a Jew, preached to the Jews, and died as a Jew. Christianity was what was developed by his followers after he died and the Roman Empire didn't fall.
I don't think I understand your point. Are you saying that because he was a Jew, Christians shouldn't be following his teachings?

The United Nations reports that nearly one in three women around the globe have been subjected to physical or intimate partner violence. And in 2023, over 51,000 women around the globe tragically lost their lives due to violence from their partner or a family member, accounting for 60% of all female homicides. Meanwhile, only 12% of male homicides are caused by a partner or family member.

Tax the rich and give the money to the employees that did all the work.
And tax the churches, that do no work and are parasitic on society. We already have a "bioassay" showing that the most churchgoing in the population have the least compassion for the needy.
Load More Replies...Tax the rich and the church to also give everyone free healthcare after you make reparations to indigenous and enslaved people
The Mormon church is worth approx. $300 billion. Clearly they don't put enough of their money to work on charitable projects. So yes, they should be taxed.
And the indigenous peoples they destroyed before the Europeans came? Life in the Americas before Columbus was not a picnic. Genocide was common place.
I've always said that no organization that doesn't have a "throughput" (or "passthrough") of at least 50% of their receipts should not get a "charitable organization" designation for taxes. So, exclude churches, United Way, etc. Organizations that fly their executives, bishops, etc. first class around the world as people starve shouldn't get our tax-related subsidies.
Out here looking for a man without bathing him? How that man supposed to know you can wash him?

My ex. What he said about his ex-wife suddenly unravelled when we started working together and worked out we had him in common. He is now with the best friend he had "ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN!!!" - got with her about 3 hot minutes after we broke up because I wasn't looking to mother a boyfriend. They have domestic bliss now. There’s no question that this kind of harassment, which often leads to violence, is a problem across the board. But it’s naive to assume that feminism has completed its mission when women are still being targeted far more often than men.

Now, if you’re wondering what you or the men in your life can do to help fight the patriarchy, HeForShe has some great suggestions. First, they note that men should start with questioning their own behavior and beliefs when joining the women’s rights movement. Many of us have been conditioned to believe certain stereotypes or have practiced harmful behavior without even realizing it. The sooner we unlearn those habits, the sooner we can help others eliminate them too.

I then explained that I wore X size in this brand’s clothing while I wore size Y in this other brand’s clothing while also wearing size Z, most of the time, when I wore clothes from this department store, but not that department store. I also explained that I wore size A in jeans but size B in dresses. He exclaimed, “That’s crazy!” I replied, “Yes, yes it is.”
That's why I shop in men's section. Also they have MARVEL t-shirts and women's sections don't.
I will only buy men;s jeans. They have full sized pockets. (A) my waist size is the same between brands. (B)The pockets fit a phone, several knives, and a wallet. (C) I'm not financially punished for being tall. (D)The pockets fit more than a card and pack of gum. (E) The fabric is thick and wears well. (F) They have f*****g pockets!
OK, SEVERAL knives? I like my multitool as much as the next guy, but SEVERAL? I HAVE to know.
Load More Replies...Men's sizes aren't exactly brilliant either. Recently I bought 2 shirts, from the same manufacturer, in the same style, just 2 different colours. The XL fits great, and the 2XL is a little too small.
I genuinely don't understand the 'size' system. It makes no sense. Now, admittedly certain brands straight-up lie about the precise measurements of garments to flatter you, but measurements on a known scale should be comparable. Yes, women are curvier than men, and a T-shirt (for example) has to be cut differently, but why can't a garment have a number of measurements? E.g. shoulder width, total length, inner leg seam etc. That can't be THAT hard to do?
They use those measurements, the problem comes when brand A calls a 30 inch waist a size "S", and brand B calls it size "M". That's the problem, not how measurements are taken

Algebra and women's fashion are two fields that use imaginary numbers.
To be fair, fast fashion, for women, men and children, often has large variations, even with the same product in the same size. This is because they cut a pile of material at the same time on a machine, and the material often has stretched a lot by the time it gets to the last piece. In saying that, women's sizes are often purposefully disparate, especially if they come from different countries. I think it would be better if women's pants were regularly labelled by waist dimension like men's, but because so few do, I wouldn't have a clue what my waist measurement even is.
Another step men can take is educating themselves about the women’s rights movement. This fight goes back hundreds of years, and learning about it can help men understand why women are so passionate about fighting for equality. At the same time, volunteering and supporting women’s organizations can go a long way. As long as you’re using your voice for good, you shouldn’t be afraid to speak up.
Knowledge is the enemy of the church. It's why they fought so hard to keep the bible in Latin.

And don't forget Ashteroth (look her up on a good A.I.), the Hebrew analogue to Ishtar, Isis, etc. In that context, "Mrs. Yahweh." The rabbinical establishment turned her into a demon, rather than have a female goddess.

What we got was a version of a very old tale. The Semites had a dim memory of a more lush life on a plain to the east of the Tigris/Eurphrates valley, hunting and gathering. It is still called Aden. It was rewritten with bad guys (snake, Eve) and one god.
Eve's sin was not choosing knowledge. Her sin was daring to choose at all.

Would she REALLY have been ASHAMED to be naked? Whe all thru history paintings of naked women are everywhere? SHAME is a made up emotion.
Load More Replies...It's not "knowledge" in general. The word is a euphemism for knowing about s.e.x. going from innocence of paradise to becoming more animal like... Like "knowing a woman" in bible speak means having slept with her. But just why was that tree there in the first place?
That's not what that story is about, though. The point is that she didn't gain actual knowledge. (Also, both Eve and Adam ate the fruit, so any preacher who blames Eve but not Adam is a liar. But only some modern Evangelicals do that. The traditional churches all speak of "Adam's fall".) And the proper term is "creation myth".

This is narcissistic behavior and yes men are more likely to be narcissistic, sociopathic or psychopathic, but many will apologize too even after it's belated once they've thought about things.
This isn't patriarchy, this is just bad human behavior. It happens to both genders, from both genders.

Uh, this very much apples to women, too. I've worked customer service, and being an a*****e about rules they've broken is a behavior that knows know gender.
I've seen that more with women. Some believe they're never wrong; if they ever actually are, then it's inconsequential compared with that horrendous thing I did ages ago (apparently).
Last weekend, someone tried to break into my home through a double glazed back door, they shattered the outer layer but apparently gave up on the second. NGL, I was shaken. The contractor who came to board it up for me was kind, gentle, friendly and sympathetic. I got to a point of trembling and crying with the stress of it all and, massively unusual for me, asked if I could have a hug. He wrapped his arms around me in a huge bear hug and just kept saying, “it’s okay now, we’ll get it all boarded up rock solid, you’ll be safe”. I’ve yet to receive an invoice for the work. Definitely following up on that! But I suspect the delay is he’s not planning to charge. Tell me that isn’t an example of a wonderful man.

Unfortunately, these people won’t always listen to what a woman has to say. But if they hear it from a man, they might be more eager to listen. Disassembling the patriarchy certainly won’t happen overnight, but if we keep chipping away at it, it will eventually crumble.
We are going to be much nearer to equality when mediocre women can achieve what mediocre men can. Not all of us have the capacity and energy to be brilliant, and why should we?
This is not about achieving something; it's about mediocre men thinking they're god's gift while women still work in environments where they are not valued

Fun fact: When my local Lowes first opened the carts had brakes that needed to be released by holding a lever. Even with 500 pounds on them I can get the cars rolling, but they take just as much effort to stop, too.

It's perfectly fine and normal for men to have women friends, and women to have men friends, as JUST friends. They are friends because having friends is nice. It's only a problem if ONE side of the friendship changes how they feel about the other side, and is too cowardly to tell them. Nobody is a mind-reader, and they aren't required to change how they feel to match how someone else feels. Yes, it could ruin your friendship to profess intimate feelings - it also might not. Tell them or don't, just don't be an arsehole about it if they don't feel the same way.
The other person does not place you in the "friend zone". You place yourself there by transitioning to being no longer satisfied with the friendship.
For every guy that is friend-zoned, is a girl who thought she had a friend but was actually f**k zoned

Even if someone isn't physically sick, if they feel the need to have a day of rest or leisure, just to unwind, let them. Maybe there would be less impatience, less hostility and less resentment in the world if people would get over the idea that being productive isn't all about work, work, work.
Universal Health Care is quite complicated and difficult to achieve. Only 22 of the top 23 economies have been able to do it.
Sadly, if parents and kids lied to schools less we wouldn't require the notes. It's a pain in the a*s to collect them and follow-up. Do you think schools do it because it's fun?
If there was less importance put on perfect attendance and kids were able to take a sick day even for emotional reasons, then wouldn't that also solve the issue? Where I live, you only need a note if it's an extended illness or you have missed over a certain amount of days in the year already.

The last call centre job I worked at had a weird dress code. But we could wear anything we wanted, including jeans, sweats, leggings, graphic tees,. We could have our hair and makeup anyway we wanted. Just no profanity or offensive wordings. I got a warning once because I wore a tank top with a cardigan. I got hot and slipped my cardigan off my shoulders, still wearing it around my arms. But someone was clutching their pearls and complained about my shoulders.
How did the ones that sit there in the jammy bottoms, or undies not get noticed? At least you were wearing actual daytime leg wear?
So the workplace has a dress code forbidding jeans. Many workplaces are like that. I don't see where the righteous anger is coming from.

I asked them did they really think applicants were just sitting around waiting for them to call?

Thick or thicc is about a woman being very curvy, not necessarily larger overall. Like, big b**t, small waist. Beyoncé is often called thick but few people would say she's a big woman!

It isn't that there isn't enough money, and it isn't that there isn't enough food, it's that there is not enough compassion.
Compassion would be nice, but justice would get the job done just as well and be better over all. Compassion can't be guaranteed, but justice should be.
Load More Replies...This is it. The very basics of how the world runs is not about us all trying to help each other. Also, I found out from a Radio 4 programme about the history of credit that the story we are all told about how money started is NOT TRUE. People didn’t go round to their neighbour and say ‘I need some eggs, can I give you a cabbage for six of yours?’. Do you do that with your next door neighbour???? Or friend???? Of course not!!. They give you six eggs because they know that you’ve helped them out before and that you’ll be there for them again. Apparently there is no society on earth that has been recorded living with a trading system like that. Even between tribes they share things knowing another time the other tribe will help them out. This complete bøllocks was made up (this is my theory) to make money look a) inevitable and b) an absolute necessity. But it never was. We had a system that worked. Imagine if the whole world worked like that. Yeah, yeah, I know, but just imagine for a mo
Trade and barter works very well on a limited, interpersonal scale, but it really doesn't work for larger scales. If you want to own a car, what exactly are you going to trade for it that has approximately equal value? If you need surgery that takes a team of six, are you going to give each of them some items? No, so a system that equates all items to a designated 'anchor' product is used. We chose gold, but it could easily have been something else - all that is required is that enough people agree that money can be exchanged universally, and that the value of it is not too variable.
Load More Replies...Our world economy is far beyond bartering, but it's not the existence of money that keeps everybody from having a home, or eating, or having basic medical care and a good education, it's that the money is all concentrated and controlled by the rich who have a vested interest in keeping people homeless, hungry, sick, and uneducated. Take it away from the rich. Start off with a level playing field where people have all the basic things they need, and if someone wants more, then go for it. The only rule of the game is that you can't get more by taking away the basics from someone else. People are also not allowed to give away or sell their own basics or anyone else's.
Well, we started with metals (mainly). The move to paper was kind of OK (eg, a 'pound sterling' was originally a pound of sterling silver). It was the move to remove the link of the paper to the original metal (which sort of held its value). This allowed irresponsible governments to play fast and loose with the paper, and here we are today.

Exactly. If you are constantly sad/mad/hurt/afraid/jealous/suspicious in a relationship it is not a good relationship and it should end.

Yeah... I'm not all "America is evil and we must burn it to the ground," but to willfully ignore slavery, interment camps, child labor, and the forced relocation of Native Americans, amongst others, dooms us to repeat those same mistakes.
I would hazard a guess that all countries have parts of their past that they would rather forget, but this is history and it gives the current society something to reflect on and learn from. However, as an outside observer, it appears that the people in power in the USA at the moment don't seem interested in learning from the mistakes of their forefathers.

Because men like that are terrified of rejection. They define their own masculinity with outside props, I.e. big car, how much they can drink, etc. The biggest prop of all is also the one that can reject them and make them feel emasculated because their sense of masculinity doesn't come from within. Ergo they resent/hate women for the power women have over them, even though they see women as inherently inferior.
It was designed around the assumption that there is an adult in the household who doesn't go to work.
And hat adult is a woman who is too stupid to shop in a hardware store, buy a car, or make any decisions.

And men don't even know that women can get "blue vulv@" too, because we literally NEVER use it as an excuse to grope people.
Okay, so reading the comments, including the downvoted ones, I'm gaining some polarizing perspectives. I'm not really well informed what blue balls is, exactly, so feel free to correct me or educate me if I'm wrong. I'm guessing it's when men have excess fluid filling up their scrotums and it gets hard or just really painful because things are stretching and tightening in there. I'm reminded to how my breasts really hurt when I was in my breastfeeding days, if I hadn't nursed in a while, and it gets to a point you have release that milk. Is this a good comparison on how it feels? PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNVOTING: Men still have far more preventative actions to get to that point. You have hands. You have more freedoms to prevent it from getting that far. It doesn't sound like this blue balls thing comes around nearly as often as a breastfeeding woman's breasts contracts. And it would be nowhere near as bad as birthing contractions. Check mate.
Short answer: it's a myth. Longer answer, it's an emotional blackmail tool used by some men or boys on séxually naive women or girls, and it has nothing to do with a build up of seminal fluid over time. The basis of the myth has a little truth. When a man has sustained an erectíon for an extended length (no pun intended) of time, or if he is kept on the brink of ejaculatíon for too long without achieving one, the contraction of the muscles that pull the testes up towards the body in preparation for ejaculation can cause moderate soreness. However, whether or not ejaculation is achieved the soreness goes away shortly after the erectíon subsides, with no ill effect to the man. The myth that some men will tell as fact is that if he gets an erection but doesn't get to climax it causes a dangerous and painful condition called 'blue balls' which can cause permanent damage, and the emotional blackmail comes with the claim that it's the woman's fault that he got an erection so, unless she wants to be responsible for causing him great pain and permanent damage down there then she must finish what she started.

I have had conversations with my son about this. I've told him blue balls are uncomfortable, but not dangerous or lethal in any way, and that sexual frustration is NOT an excuse to pressure or coerce his partner.

Everything was pretty good for the middle class until Reagan's trickle down economic strategy of not taxing the rich because they were the "job creators." Strangely enough that has not worked out real well.
Point worth repeating: people ON AVERAGE get more conservative as they grow older because the marginalized diе younger.
When I was young (1950s), conservatives said "Black voters should exist." Now they say "Any effect of black voters should not exist." Ah, progress.

I have no doubt that many - though not all - transgender people really do feel the way they say they feel, and I have no problem with that. I've said many times over the years that people should be free to express themselves however they wish (within reason - nobody wants to see jackbooted Nazís walking the streets, for example). What you all seem to be unable to grasp is that my objection to trans women in women's spaces is not because they are transgender, it's because they are male. It's a very important distinction.

My brother is banned from getting milk from the fridge at mine or my sister's houses without permission, because he will drink the whole thing without thinking whether we are likely to be able to buy more before we need it. When I was growing up, mum would buy 6 litres of milk a week and still need more sometimes. He is the same with yoghurt.
