"What would it be if our fantasies were all real?" Russian art project called 2D Among Us writes. Well, we can now find out!
The project takes our favorite movie characters and puts them in different pictures capturing Russian reality. The final pics let us see what famous movies /shows would look like if they were shot in Russia. From Deadpool to Home Alone to Game Of Throwns - they've included them all. I don't wanna be generalizing, but when I remember all those crazy driving videos of "meanwhile in Russia...", Mad Max seems to need no real modifications, just maybe the environmental set.

Would be cool if Harry Potter spin offs happened in Russia at some point. Unless of course the whole movie would be based on "comrades & communists" kind of stereotypes. Russia has loads of great magical places.

Basically the author is implying that these dilapidated images represent Russia... therefore the ghettos of Detroit must represent the US??

Seriously we have big and beautiful cities. But 70% of other russians cities, towns and villages are like that - with bad roads, bad houses, schools, poor hospitals and police. But Russia become better every year and I hope someday I will have enough money to take I will explore this beautiful places.

look at the pictures...even though there are some pretty poor area, most are clean and neat, no trash thrown around and very little graffiti ....unlike most poor or impoverished american cities

I think the author tried finding fitting places for the said movies, not to show Russia in a bad way. He did show the palaces, Kremlin, normal streets, normal buildings, parks, beautiful country side...Russia is like any other country- it has rich history it is proud of, history it is not so proud of, things to work on, things that are perfect. People just need to stop thinking it wants to conquer the world, get themselves some Russian friends and have fun :D
