Top companies spend big bucks on their logo. After all, it's the visual representation of their character. An easily digestible display of their core values. In other words, a company's logo is its face. And you bet your wallet they want to look appealing.

So it's only natural when up-and-coming designers try to prove their worth by recreating famous logos. "These guys get paid millions of dollars but I can do it better for a fraction of that cost." The ultimate power move.

Take a look at some of these recreations we found on sites like dribbble and Behance. Upvote your favorites and let us know what you think about them in the comments! Enjoy.

I thought that the three black lines were imitating a sound wave, therefore the current one is more appropriate. Also, IMO, the ''S' in the redesign just doesn't look right.

Current is better. It's supposed to represent a lens...it would be better if they put three lenses...since that's kind of the trend now.

This is a classic. It doesn't need redesigning. That just looks like it was taken from a generic sci-fi movie.

The redesign erases the stars, ffs. Leave this one alone. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Do not like at all. The original NASA logo is iconic and still looks modern after all these years. History: The round red, white and blue insignia, nicknamed the "meatball," was designed by employee James Modarelli in 1959, NASA's second year. The design incorporates references to different aspects of the mission of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The round shape of the insignia represents a planet. The stars represent space. The red v-shaped wing represents aeronautics. The circular orbit around the agency's name represents space travel.

I like the old one. It shows more what they do and it’s a beautiful drawing.

Once again, the "redesign" is; Make everything a circle, and remove the details. Piss-poor IMO.

Nope. If something more modern is needed, we have the NASA Worm-logo

I didn't think the first was the "current" NASA logo. Seems like the designer was attempting to combine the "meatball" with the "worm". Not a terrible attempt.

I hate to agree with Commander OwO because his comments have not been nice or helpful...but I think he's right on this one. We need a new NASA logo that means business!

Nope. The NASA "meatball" is classic and has history. Does not need a redesign.

The NASA "meatball" is iconic. Children can read it. The second? Not so much.

Sorry the first one, the original one is spot on, the second one is totally generic.

I don't like either. The current one is too much, the new one too little
