Hello! My name is Nathanna Érica and I'm an illustrator and paper artist based in São Paulo, Brazil.

Having been born in such a vibrant and diverse country allowed me to see the world through some very rainbow colored lenses (I even see colors in numbers and days of the week, it’s no joke!) and I try to express all the colorful mess that I call a brain into my art. When I started working with paper, I discovered that I could go even further in terms of textures, movement and, once again, color. For me, these three elements are essential to every piece I create, and that’s why I’ll always be working on a mermaid or two, or on some magical realm of enchanted macaws. Gee, what wouldn’t I give to live in a place like that?

My main source of inspiration is nature, its shapes and patterns, as well as the many different cultures around the world and of course, movies and everything related to the art of filmmaking. Like many artists, early animation films have defined most of my childhood and I think it shows on my drawing style and use of color and composition. I love telling stories and I found out that using paper, texture and color allows me to be a better storyteller.

Even though I’ve always considered myself an artist at heart, it took me five years of Law school to decide that doing anything else other than being an artist would be impossible.

Great work! But it will never soothe the gapping wound in my heart... Disney MURDERED Star Wars for profit! Lucas may have made boo boos here and there with the epic, but he sure put his heart and soul into painting the SW universe in exquisite details, which Disney simply and lazily rehashed in the last trilogy.

Luna is blond, & a Ravenclaw, so the scarf is wrong. I think this is a "composite" student.

This isn't Luna though. It is a self portrait of the artist.
