My son in law tried to tell me that the 2005 video and audio recording of Trump with NBC Acess Hollywood host Billy Bush, the "Grab 'em by the püssy" video, was a deep fake. It was released during the 2016 presidential campaign. I told my SIL that Trump addressed it and apologized for it during the campaign but he refused to accept anything I said. I'm convinced that many of his followers just make up their own narrative and follow 4-chan, and there's absolutely nothing we can do to make any difference. He could do these things in front of these people and it wouldn't change their minds. Anyone can find all of the written information on Wikipedia under Donald Trump Access Hollywood Tape, and all of the links are in the article. Just smh.

Yes and no, I agree we should help him like any other person with mental health issue. But being mentaly ill doesn't mean you are irresponsible. A lot of people struggle, try and find help and improve. The problem is he refuses help, medication or anything that could give him more control over his life and what he says. You cannot put all the blame on his mental health because it justify medical violence.

That's just the sexually inappropriate part mentioned about him. The fact that he hated black South Africans so much that while in South Africa he demanded separate entrances for black people and Indians is often brushed under the carpet as well as his blatant refusal to share a prison cell with black people because according to him, they were inferior to his people. Yes, some of his political ideas have merit and relevance but the man was racist and bigoted who held some really problematic views and encouraged the glorification and continuation of the caste system in the subcontinent that made millions of people slaves of those belonging to the upper caste Hindus. He believed untouchables should remain untouchables and the fact that this man is valorised while having endorsed and participated in such systemic oppression is extremely unfortunate.

It was never aired until after Saville's death. Jimmy Saville was very rich and very litigious, people were scared to call him out. Lyn Barber, the British journalist, asked him about the rumours in an interview with him and he brushed them off. She was vilified for even asking him by certain people. The trouble was that, apart from the issues I've already mentioned, he was "smart" enough to do a ton of charity work, raised millions for good causes and therefore fooled a lot of famous and powerful people into thinking he was a good guy e.g. Margaret Thatcher and Prince Charles. None of this is an excuse for what happened, but it goes some way to explaining why he was only exposed after he died.

I've read Jennette McCurdy's memoir "I'm Glad My Mom Died" and reading it felt very cathartic as there were so many raw emotions. The mother was very abusive and manipulative. She also mentions her struggles with bulimia and what it was like working as a child actress. Apparently, Schneider forced her to drink alcohol when she was still a minor and made unwanted advances. Nickelodeon tried to pay her $300,000 in hush money so that she wouldn't expose Dan Schneider and his toxic behavior and she refused to take the money. Her memoir is worth reading.

I would hope it was just an opened condom not a used one. But who knows. It's interesting that with the accusations nothing has come from it. Makes me believe no one has actually stepped up and gone to police. Which in turn makes me wonder whether it's actually true. In the past I could imagine people being reluctant to come forward but with the push since Metoo I'd have expected at least one person to come forward rather than unsubstantiated claims.

Most of this is false. Can't talk about SA but there's a lot of fan-fic from Tumblr floating around where groupies and fans write about "encounters" with him and the rest of the band. The used condoms were unpackaged condoms with obvious holes poked in them. There was no dead rat, just a live one that Margot Robbie kept as a pet for a while before Guillermo del Toro adopted it. And the cult thing is a running joke from one of his band's songs. People constantly asked them if there were a cult so in their 2009 music video, they ran with a caption saying "yes this is a cult." Then years later when he had longer hair and once wore white, he was photographed with fans and they ran with the same caption and people have lost their s**t ever since.

I was thinking along similar lines in the last couple days, though about Justin Roiland not Polanski. We as a society believe in rehabilitation and that once a criminal has done their time they can get back to society. We wouldn't deny a bricklayer a job as a bricklayer once they got out of prison, so why do we block actors/writers/directors? This applies to lots of them. If you're a writer/director you're not even visible on screen. Seems unfair to deny them their livelihood.

I'm still able to watch it because so much more of the show is hilarious, but a part of the enjoyment I used to get from the show is long gone and I can't watch it the same way I once did. I watch it because Red Foreman is althea greatest character on tv. But Masterson took away my favourite show, I used to watch new episodes with my dad who was reliving his childhood because he was their age at that time period. Part of that feeling is lost now.

I visited the Columbus Zoo. He was at the front greeting people and signing autographs. When it was my turn he gave me no eye contact and picked up a napkin and drew a slanted line across it. It was not recognizable in any form as an autograph. At the time I assumed it was because I was black. Later I concluded he did it because he is an uneducated poser loser. He apparently is getting treatment for his mental issues and is doing much better. Doesn't excuse it, but at least that is a positive step. That they didn't cancel his Flash movie, which was still in production while he did so many bad things, but did cancel the Batgirl movie (which even had Michael Keaton as Batman in it,) and it was DONE filming, is an indicator of how effed up things are in DC land.

Honestly I don't know what DC are thinking. I was stoked when James Gunn took the reins then super stoked when it looked like Cavill was finally going to get a Superman movie that (maybe) wasn't dark and depressing and then that hope was dashed :( Anyway, I believe that if we're serious about mental health that we should be willing to forgive the bad behaviour if it was triggered by that. To me, the question though is whether it really was or whether it's just a cover story.

For what it's worth, an ex of mine would often ask me to bite her (the harder the better) during sex. I wasn't really into it, but it was a major turn-on for her so I was happy to do it. His initial apology, whether he wrote it or not, was pretty good, admitting that the women were telling the truth (an unusual response for these types of allegations) and demonstrating understanding of why what he did was wrong (including the power imbalance with young, female comedians), but he got a bit defensive and pissy about the whole thing later (can't remember what he said, but I recall it being pretty disappointing coming from the one accused who initially took responsibility). I hope this doesn't come across in any way as excusing his behavior with these women who looked up to him. It's just interesting comparing his response with those who reacted by calling the accusers liars.

Calling everything under the sun “assault” is a slap in the face to ACTUAL rape and sexual physically assaulted victims. And the idea of "he'd go lower if it was legal" is just bull. He has not broken any laws, so why assume he would? I think Amber Heard sucks too though. I largely put that last part to avoid the wrath of Depp stans that buy into the myth that he was abused and a victim of domestic violence. At one point, it did seem that way...but the more I learned about Johnny Depp, the more I realized he is truly a scary person. She obviously has issues herself, but there is no way he isn't a thousand times worse. It is scary how many people think he is a really good person still. I didn't know Depp also collected Nazi memorabilia. What a psycho.
