Every craft has its mysteries. And while you can decode them through long hours of research and trial-and-error, you can also learn about them from those who have already mastered the art. Of course, not everyone wants to share their secrets. But Barcelona-based photographer Jordi Puig does.
He has become adept at using various tools to make his shot truly immersive. The best part, however, is that Jordi provides a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process, showing how you can adapt his methods as well.

I still don't get how the photographer managed to cut all that light. Whoa.
Nice colours, but he should reconsider some of his use of models. Kind of looks like she's a prostitue (by her pose).
They know what the internet is like, people would have complained about litter
Load More Replies...I am just thinking "Please dont hit the camera with one of those" . Can see how easy a broken lense might happen. If the didnt add protection after pic 1. But lovely pic.
Lv the freckles other face w/ the light enhancing them and her deep green eyes
It's just showing you an example of the technique used, and then the final result.
Load More Replies...Interesting that they removed the color from the sneakers so as not to draw the eye away from the donut
She's not showing anything you wouldn't see in every park or on every beach in the summertime. It's a long way from being indecent!
Load More Replies...no wonder photo taken was so nice.....notice what camera he use, it's a SONY..!
In half an hour, I'll go back to the workshop and weld myself :)
Load More Replies...Nope, now the lightning on the stone matches the rest without having to photoshop that too.
Load More Replies...True, but no one looking at these photos would even notice those small details, unless they were looking for them, having had them pointed out that these are photo tricks in an article..... the photos are still awesome!
Load More Replies...of course that camera wasn't close to the flame... they just didn't show the side shot where the camera was not inside the fire.
Load More Replies...I do a lot of photomanipulations and I am a big fan of getting things right 'in camera' so you have to do as little processing as possible. But this one would have been better with a few fire pngs. Nice experiment to try though. Might be better with a tube on fire, so the flames lap with more structure. Just from very far away to save the damn camera!
I really don't understand why people look for what might be wrong in the picture. Just enjoy the beauty and creativeness of each picture. They are beautiful!
Yes but don’t search for little mistakes. It’s b00tiful!
Load More Replies...i reckon you should do the same but without the man (no hate just constructive comments)
I HATE THIS AND EVERYTHING YOU STAND FOR!!!!!!!!! (ALL HATE, NO CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM)
Of all the shots using this technique, this is the one that makes the most sense to me. It actually provokes feelings.
The being buried alive one didn't provoke feelings for you??
Load More Replies...Just about every other shot is made by hanging something from a string, throwing something (glass shards, stones, sprinkles, water) from the "wrong" direction into the pic, or taking the shot through something (paper sheets, strainer etc). "Creative tricks" ended after about eight pics.
yep, sure they look cool... but it gets old fast.
Load More Replies...It's sad how many people in the comments don't understand the concept of photo staging. Yes, the blade isn't going to actually cut the orange in half, it's staging for a photo.
Nice pics, but what's photographer's obsession with people throwing food at the camera?
STOP WITH HATING THIS! This is art. If you don’t love it then why are you looking at this? Sorry, I couldn’t hold it any longer. I love this photos! It’s never getting old, all photos are different but yeah the idea is the same. I love this way of photographing. Please stop, okay? It’s getting kind of a brawl now.
Its all sugar candy foe the eye, no nutritional value, sure it looks good, but doesnt make sense some of them, and the others doesnt show any beauty of the subject but just the fake beauty, like alot of makeup
Load More Replies...Post-production on most of these graphics are so heavy that they are not photos anymore.
