This Facebook Group Is Dedicated To Crappy Wildlife Photos That Are So Bad They’re Good
How many times have you scrolled through breathtaking wildlife photography shots and told yourself “challenge accepted”? Well, it turns out it’s not so easy to take that pitch-perfect shot.
Wild animals, they move. A camera, it wobbles. A hand, it shakes. And weather, it’s always a mystery. This is the combination you need to get a spectacularly terrible wildlife pic. In fact, some of the entries are so bad they've made their way into the Crap Wildlife Photography group on Facebook. Here are some of the best-failed shots that may make you think twice about pressing that capture button any time soon.

I feel so bad for spiders. Mostly they are more afraid of you than you are of them. Just carefully transport them out the door. Of course you should know your spiders and use precautions.

Bored Panda contacted Marina Cano, an award-winning wildlife photographer and Canon ambassador who told us what it takes to capture wildlife like a pro. Marina’s work has been on the covers of National Geographic, and in 2015 she was a finalist of the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest.
With so many funny photos of wildlife and animals surfing around the internet, one cannot help but wonder what makes it so difficult to capture that golden shot. “It lies in how unpredictable the animals can be,” explained Marina, “but that’s also the most exciting thing about capturing the one perfectly timed photo.”

Tried To Get A Spread Wings Shot...
According to Marina, the most important thing to know before taking a camera is that “whatever happens in the day you will come back home happy to be in the wild.” On top of that, you need to be passionate, because in this case “you won’t blame anything and just enjoy it.” And how many times have we blamed the wobbly camera, crappy weather, and bad light?
A day in the life of a wildlife photography professional looks “more or less like a normal job,” except when you shoot in the bush. “The days in the bush make this job the most enjoyable profession on Earth.” Marina said she wakes up at around 4:00 and she’s happy to know “I have the rest of the daylight to spend in nature, to be witness, and to expect, if lucky, to capture the most extraordinary action out there.”

Don't worry! Cats in general won't attack you head on, when you're looking directly at them. This even applies to housecats if you want to take a moment to see it for yourself. If you pay attention to when they'll go for you it's not when you're right in front of them staring into their soul (mostly, obviously not every cat is the same). Actually, many people who spend a lot of time in nature where mountain lions are around will put fake eyes on the back of their hats to make them think that the person is alert and is watching them. Also the fact that this person has a high resolution camera that looks more on the expensive side, and that they were out looking for things to photograph in cold snowy weather for so long they found a mt lion shows you that they are pretty serious about photography, so you can trust they probably know the information above as well as the behavior of the animals, when they are in danger, and how to protect themself. Sorry that was long :)

In wildlife photography, nature dictates everything. That means that in order to get that picture, you need practice. But some things should be inherent to an animal and wildlife photographer. You need to be able to keep silent, stay still for long periods of time. Remember that nature is their home, and you’re the guest.
You should also learn to keep your eyes open for every little thing. Animals living in the wild have adapted to their environments extremely well. Taking a nice shot usually takes days of hard work and dedication, so you need to be patient.
We previously wrote about the photographer who took a perfect shot of a kingfisher after 4,200 hours and 720,000 attempts. This award-winning shot of an eagle also took Norwegian photographer Audun Rikardsen 3 years of wait. So, yeah, we are talking years of wait in the pro game.

This happened to me but with a wedge tailed eagle. Saw 2 on the side of the road eating a kangaroo carcass. Hubby pulled over whilst I scrambled for the camera. By the time I got the shot the eagles were high up in the sky. So disappointed, couldn’t believe how massive they were.

It always makes me laugh when I see ads on TV for iPhone with their apparently breathtaking camera capabilities and then you see the small writing at the bottom of the screen saying 'additional hardware and software used'! If your camera has such amazing capabilities why the fck do you need to use additional hardware and software? And yes, I have seen the BP article that showed the behind the scenes making of the ads with all their additional stuff, and I'm pretty sure that NASA were able to put men on the moon with far less equipment (that is a slight exaggeration, I know lol)

And people think all cats do is sleep, eat, and make you feel bad because they don't excited over the latest toy we buy them. They are the busier than a secret agent on a mission Pershing the wackiest forms of adventure with stories that make our lives pale in comparison. They hop into their spot, too pooped to pop, often with only minutes to spare, before we get home from work. We just shake our heads mumbling how it must be nice and as we're walking away they flip us off and head for the kitchen and yell for us to feed them. They are still full from lunch. But they want us to know they "need" us.

That would be the black-winged pigeon cat. It is forced to perch on stone bird baths because it's weight and girth snaps most wooden perches in half. Most of the time it gives no F***s and will ignore you completely...unless you have treats or a laser pointer..then beware it's razor sharp talons.

Grackles are annoying and smart. They pull out the little white plastic plant identifier tabs out of my flower pots. Every day. They drop marbles and pebbles (glass blobs look great mixed in worth a SW desert pebble yard) Into the water dish to raise the water level, though they don’t need to and they drop weird things in my yard - A pork chop bone (fresh), a bit of pizza crust, two Mike & Ike candies and a piece of hot dog roll. I thought it was the neighbor’s 6 y/o grandson trying to feed my dog until I saw the grackle place the hot dog roll On my planting rack.

Be careful..those things have a powerful jaw and can bite your fingers off. I tried to move one the size of a steering wheel. Covered it was a construction drop cloth. That thing has a long reach!

Someone here, I won't use names, said they moved one from their driveway to a lake... Who's to say that's where it came from in the first place? You may have moved it hours away from where it belonged, and possibly away from it's family. Remove it from your property if you can't stand it being around, but otherwise leave nature alone!

Can I add a whole film with fantastic shots of pink flamingos - in black and white? Or another whole film of young hippos playing in the river and later being hit on the head with the simple little fact that I had shot it all without any film in the camera?
