There's a big difference between public free sites on Facebook and Craigslist and buy nothing groups. Craigslist is Hit or Miss at best, and public Facebook free groups can be so rude. I belong to a Buy Nothing group and it's private, local to my specific neighborhood and very valuable. Members can ask for things, post items for gifting, and it's a very nice community. We also ask for and give of our time and talents.
