I was a dishwasher during my studies and my nails just melted like snow. We had those tiny latex gloves that doctors and nurses use and the water kept entering them so I just stopped using them. Had also a bad chemichal burn because of those gloves (product entered and soaked my palms for a while). And the rythm, the grease, the smell... It's not a pleasant work to do.

I definetly counts. Today. But the US wanted to finish the War on August 6 1945 or possibly earlier. They counted only the people who can't bear arms, feed soldiers, produce boots, etc. anymore and whose fiery death might convince the goverment to finally give up. People dying from cancer even just a year later didn't fall into either categories. Just like the future generations haven't born because their would be parents were killed in the War but they are sorely missed today.

There's a very accurate way to measure the difference between countries: how many people acctually want to live there. There were tens of thousands of people who risked their life to cross over from to Florida to Cuba. Or tunnel, fly over, break through the Iron Curtain to the West. There was barely any traffic going the other way. The same thing is happening now with the desperate refugees crossing the Mediterranean Sea from Africa or the Middle-East drowning by the hundreds. Or people from Central America try to walk accross the border to the US. The morgues close to the border are full of unidentified human remains found in the desert. People are voting with their feet about which country they find better. The US and the West in general is far ahead of the rest of the World according to these votes. The fact is the USA is very far from being a perfect country with the best goverment ever but it was a much better place than the Soviet Union or Cuba even after the Revolution.

As regular soldiers they fought in Europe. But without interpreters the work of US Intelligence would have been impossible in the Pacific. Japanese is one of the hardest language to learn. They couldn't just send some white officers to a quick language course.

They also couldn't have the Emperor captured. There was no way to accept unconditional surrender. They either k**l enough invaders to make the Americans soften their conditions. Or they have the Russians negotiate a better deal maybe for some territories in China. Then the Soviet Union declared War.They were coming from North and noone to stop them. All was lost.

More BS: the Ottomans had the city under siege for months. Then suddenly they find an open gate?! They occupied it becuse siege artillery developed enough to break through its walls. They also managed to move the ships on land around the chain blocking their way around the city. And they had the best troops of the late Medieval, the Janissaries.

Saddam Hussein was a terrible dictator killing his own people by the tens of thousands by mass killings, t*****e, arieal bombing and chemical weapons. The Iraqi Army also used chemical weapons during the war with Iran. A war that Saddam started, lasted eight years and killed a million people. They were actively working on nuclear weapons before Israel destroyed their reactor. They captured and looted Kuwait to help rebuild their economy after the war. They WERE sponsoring t*******m, for example sending a group to occupy the Iranian embassy in London. The only thing that slowed them down was the defeat in Desert Storm and the international sanctions when they didn't stop their weapons of mass destruction programs. The only reason they didn't find any WMDs because Saddam finally halted them and have his stockpiles destroyed after George W kept threatening to attack. But it was too late, the Americans didn't believe them and invaded anyways.
