Conspiracy theories start out as far-fetched concepts and ideas that very few people claim, and even then it feels like the people behind these ideas have one or two bolts loose.

But that’s not always the case. Sometimes what looks like a conspiracy has a chance of becoming real, or it stays on the craziest conspiracy theory page. But those that get out of the funny zone, not because it’s some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy, but rather because someone wasn’t really crazy after all.

Redditors have been sharing conspiracy theories that turned out to be as real as the moon landing or Bigfoot. The now-viral AskReddit post was so successful that it even got 17,000 upvotes with engagement from readers generating over 7,600 comments.

We’ve filtered out the best of the best responses from the Reddit post and meticulously crafted a curated list which you can vote, comment, and simply enjoy down below. And don’t forget to share some of your conspiracy theories turned reality in the comment section below!

Three different models of iPhones in black, silver, and gold, highlighting technology and conspiracies proven real online. throwingplaydoh said: Apple purposefully slowed down existing phones when they released a new model to get more sales. cheif702 replied: The craziest part is that other companies have been doing similar malicious things for decades. There was a massive agreement in the 40s by lightbulb companies to start making their light bulbs burn out faster, but pass the new designs as innovation. They did it because they had essentially made the best thing they could at the time with the technology they had, and people didn't need to keep buying lightbulbs. I think it's called planned obsolescence.

Food for thought, there's a bulb that's been burning for 120+ years. They don't make 'em like they used to because there's money to be had. https://www.centennialbulb.org/

I found this out years back with Tivo. Bought the $300 box. Bought the $300 'lifetime' plan. Found out that the plan wasn't my lifetime, but the lifetime of that particular box. When the box broke a couple years later, they told me I was 'lucky' it lasted that long, that they're not designed to last past 5 years at most. Then they tried to sell me another Tivo and another plan. I told them they can get f*cked.

I see down votes on people explaining that Moore's Law is about obsolescence and I do believe in some part but Apple does support their devices longer than any smartphone company. You cannot support apps for too long on older phones as their processors and ram get what I would call "Worn" and slow down like having an older car today. Apple slowing the phones down to was nothing important because people want the stuff to work like it's brand new and Apple did what was needed to keep the device living longer. If you think all companies do this is a little crazy but there are companies who actually don't.

actually the lightbulb one is a debunked myth. The cheaper filaments allowed them to reduce the prices by as much as 80% per bulb, which made it very affordable for lower income people. That was the reason, to open up new markets to people with less monthly income.

I rarely buy Apple. . After spending years with Narcissists of all sorts. I'm really not into higher brands, best of the best, ect. Tired of shallow people and I don't want BS technology to show off to other's to help my own insecurities. You can have a good phone without it being an Apple. I'm a cheap a** that loves saving money and letting it grow for emergencies and stressful situations. I'd rather log into my bank account and be like ... Yeah.. that's better then a $1000 phone. And also I don't want to give certain companies my money (support).

I honestly can’t say the same about the iPads, though. My first iPad survived for a whole 8 years before I got a replacement on Christmas 2019 (thank goodness, because I had to spend it in hospital, with suspicious signs of early covid). I’m more surprised about their charger life, though. The one my sister bought me; I kept it for so long that it was splitting open & leaking this blue sticky substance everywhere it touched, unless I wrapped tissue & tape around it ... yet it was STILL functioning! You might be wondering why I didn’t just change it, but we struggle with money that much, we legit couldn’t afford a decent replacement; & the ones we could afford (“Juice” chargers) would only charge if I kept my iPad turned off whilst charging & it would take an hour to charge 5% of the battery! I switched back to my badly-frayed Apple charger & it still charged the same as it always did. I now insist on buying the Apple charger cable if mine won’t work. Whatever works best, right? 😅🤷‍♀️

Also when there are sales they usually raise their prices just before, only to lower the prices when it's time for the sales to start. That way you think you save more money. (Not just Apple, most stores do this)

Rolling Stone had an article this week explaining a judge rejected Scientology's attempt to get 4 counts of rape thrown out because the church has a requirement that members must go through arbitration instead of court to settle issues. Judge says that doesn't count when the 4 people accusing you of rape aren't members of the church. Isn't it scary that they consider rape something that an arbitrator should solve?

I was in a Penacostal church cult growing up. It's not as crazy as this.. but it sucked. They brain wash you. Just a power hungry narcissist that controls you and takes your money. Tired of fear tactics to keep you in line. People had to pay a certain amount of offering to the pastors family with even food stamps. The wife of the Pastor will write up a list and you buy what's on that list with your food stamps.. it can't be off brand either. Only higher quality brands. .. or you'll burn in hell. Any money you get really.. 15% or so goes to the church. Paycheck, Birthday money, food stamps.. whatever. It's sad the Government don't tax the church. They need to change it. Churches are more dirty then the government. I had to ask my Pastor for anything first. Can I apply to this job? Can I have a friend spend the night? Plus living by the old testament. Women can't wear pants only long dresses. Women can't cut hair or wear make up. No TV. No Jewelry. Harry Potter is the devil.

Like most cults, Scientology has reached saturation point. They have over-invested worldwide in excessively expensive centres. The influx of rich celebrities that were funding them has dwindled away after a lot of bad publicity and revealing documentaries. Their numbers are shrinking. Their "lesser" followers have tired of being used for free labour and being horrifically abused. So basically there's Miscavige, Cruise and not much else left. The entire church will have completely collapsed within 20 years.

I worked for a Psychiatrist who counseled those who left Scientology. Soon Scientologists were taking our trash & replacing it with bags of labeless bottles & cans. Turns out they were spying on us to see if we had anything involving my employer in our trash. When i left that job, Scientologists hired a Private Detective to find me. First he went to my apartment, then to my parent's house, then to my employer. I wasn't at any of those places, but a neighbor got his plate number. A buddy who was a cop gave me the investigator's address, telling his chief he needed it for an accident report. I called the investigator at his house & he was surprised to know I knew where he lived. I told him since he let Scientologists know where I lived, it was fair play. He met me at a steakhouse & offered to buy me dinner , & wanted me to slander the doctor I'd worked for. I said no, reminded him that I'm a US Navy & US Army Veteran and told him to leave my family alone because I knew where he lived.

Operation Snow White was a criminal conspiracy by the Church of Scientology during the 1970s to purge unfavorable records about Scientology and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard. This project included a series of infiltrations into and thefts from 136 government agencies, foreign embassies and consulates, as well as private organizations critical of Scientology, carried out by Church members in more than 30 countries.[1] It was one of the largest infiltrations of the United States government in history,[2] with up to 5,000 covert agents.[3]

Always look to see who has sponsored a piece of "research" before you believe its findings. They are rarely unbiased in their use of data. In the first half of the 20th century the very lucrative dieting industry came into being after an insurance clerk decided to take a very narrow section of the average weight range to determine the ideal weight for a person of that height to cost his insurance policies. People who were only slightly above that figure believed they needed to lose weight, but because the weight didn't stay off for long they just ended up doing diet after diet after diet.

Strangely, it was a tobacco company that really started putting out the myth that climate change was not real. Philip Morris had a marketing campaign to dissuade people from thinking second-hand smoke was real. A guy named Steven Milloy was in charge. Came up with the term "sound science". But they didn't want to make it obvious, so they put out propaganda about 5 things. One of those was climate change. (I believe one of the others was DDT.) Milloy eventually went on to work for Exxon, then Fox News. He might have done more damage to humans than most of the well-known villians in history. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Milloy

My mom, a statistician at a cancer research center, had a boss who testified before 2 senate committees in the early 60s. First one, he presented data showing the correlation between smoking and lung cancer. The team also discovered through data the effects of second hand smoke. This was when people smoked everywhere, indoors and out. At the time, big tobacco knew and donated huge amounts of money to congressional and senate members. Interestingly, after his testimony, federal funding to the department was cut. But they kept working. The next time he testified was to show the effects of radiation from X-rays. At time x-rays threw much larger amounts of radiation off. Because of research from data is why you wear a lead apron at the dentist’s. Yes, other scientific groups around the globe were studying the same things but this happened in my youth and is how I learned firsthand how my country’s politics silences truth. In the land of the free, USA.

It's called lobbying and it should be illegal. Our government is for sale if you have the money. It's why we don't have universal health care like most civilized countries. Politicians get top shelf health insurance with the job and the insurance companies contribute billions to keep us from getting free care. Outlaw lobbying and make politicians pay for their own health care and watch how fast things change. We'd have universal health care within a year.

Not quite free. Her conservatorship has been hiven to someone she trusts rather than her father. She is technically still classified as unable to make her own decisions. I have a friend in a wheelchair who requires a nurse for daily cleanings but has been able to get out of her conservatorship, so there is NO reason Brittany should be in one Edit: Apparently there has been some fresh news about the conservatorship fully ending, and I hope its true. The amount of ignorance in these comments is precisely the reason why it went on for so long. Everybody can have opinions on her behavior or the decisions she took with her life. What is not an opinion, but a fact, is that anything she did, or any mental health issue she may have, qualifies her nor qualified her back in 2008 to be put under a conservatorship. Before spreading your ignorance, go and read the law and what it says about cships. Check all the other less extreme resources they could've tried first if they really wanted to help her, but skipped, in order to take control of her money and life. Follow the money of everything she's earned during her career, her billionaire perfume line, and compare it to ridiculously small amount of money her father has reported she has during the conservatorship, and compare it to the earnings the business manager had in those years (Lou M. Taylor). The legal and court documents are literally out there online, it never was a conspiracy

Why do people care about this? The whole reason she got put in the conservatorship was because she had a very public mental break down. Couple failed marriages, shaving her head in public, and reckless endangerment of her child. Everyone keeps making the argument that those things were a response to the conservatorship, a means of "exerting control where she can!" but no....they were the cause. The important thing to remember is that none of her "fans" know one iota about her. That people have gained the ability to manipulate outcomes simply by being obnoxiously confident about their ignorant assumption is horrifying to me.

If you live in the US you should care, because just like her, there are many people that get put under conservatorships for the exploitation of their money. The thing is it's usually elder people, but Britney Spears is the prove that it can happen to anyone. The issue with people like you is the ignorance that prevails regarding what a conservatorship is or when it should be put in place. Shaving her head and failing a marriage are not reasons for that, you literally would have to have a complete mental or physical disability, like being in a comma o severe brain damage, or dementia to be put under one. If she qualified for any of that, which she clearly doesn't, she wouldn't be able to do what she's done in the past 14 years of her career

It’s easy to see how a case was made that she wasn’t in control of her own faculties. This doesn't even mention the best/worst parts. One, the cops didn't care because not only were the victims gay but most were also immigrants/refugees. One family didn't report the man missing because they thought he was in hiding because his claim was denied and he was due to be deported. Second, the police had gotten the killer in custody but let him go because they felt he didn't fit the type to be a serial killer, because he was too old. Racism and homophobia with some ageism thrown on for good measure.

When Jeffrey Dahmer was active, there was an incident where the police actually intercepted a young male who had escaped from his home and was clearly out of it. In response, the cops just allowed Jeffrey to come and take the young man back to his place, where he of course went on to finish the job and murder him. Truly terrifying and unspeakable beyond words. Imagine how that young man's family feels!?

The serial killer's name is "B.M.", who is "now considered one of Canada's most prolific serial killers who heinously took the lives of eight men." Police believe they caught him just before he was going to kill his 9th victim... who was handcuffed to the bed, gagged and had a bag over his head when they found him.

I’m an engineer (semi related to the story), a guy I worked with years before the Snowden realization would tape over his laptop camera, disable mics, etc. He was thought to be a crazy tinfoil conspiracy guy. Turns out he worked on some small portions of black projects much earlier in his career and started doing this ever since those years.

The bans are heavily lopsided, as facebook algorithms and some key figures in facebooks management favour right-wing media. Right-wingers *complain* about getting banned more, but the numbers don't add up, not according to any available data. Not according to any metric besides the feelings of fox news commentators. Jack kept giving b******t non answers as excuses as to why he couldnt deal with them, meanwhile the Right calls Dorsey a liberal cuck while hes protecting them. Asbestos and talc are two minerals which occur together in nature. For a long time people didn't fear asbestos and it was used for fire-proofing buildings and clothing. It was bound with cement where it remained safe unless dust was released when the product was sawn. I used asbestos powder at work for years after I left school, and I never developped mesothelioma. Millions of children learned in buildings with asbestos in the ceilings and around pipework. We used metal mesh with an asbestos fibre centre in the school laboratories on tripods over bunsen burners. We didn't wear hazmat suits back then, nor when we handled mercury, another substance banned today. Nobody I knew during my schooldays or work colleagues ever got mesothelioma. I also had Johnson's baby powder liberally dusted all over my skin as a baby, like millions of British babies did. Mesothelioma should be a major killer in the US and UK if this claim is true.

This is misleading. There is still no proof that there is any link. A few poorly designed studies showing minimally increased risk and other studies showing no increased risk. The American Cancer Society has an article on their website about it and how despite lawsuits there is still no definite causation.

Seven guinea pigs resting on multicolored bedding inside a green enclosure for real conspiracies discussion. The CIA used military personnel with diagnoses of everything from depression to PTSD and even schizophrenia as guinea pigs for experimental medicines and treatments. They once gave a group of mentally ill men massive doses of LSD and left them all in a room for several days just to see what would happen. One survivor wrote that he spent those days perceiving the other men as living corpses and that the walls were covered in blood. There is no accurate number for how many people were killed or otherwise traumatized for life. Project MKUltra began in 1953 and continued for 20 years, only finally being dismantled in 1973.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t know. CIA also overthrew democratically elected Leaders in South and central America and helped death squads. Then we wonder why people are fleeing some of these areas to come to the US. History is important. Suppressing other peoples has led us to where we are now all over the globe. I’d say just about every nation has participated in some kind of oppression. I remember learning about the Underground Railroad in elementary school. It was not called CRT. It was part of US history, period. We learned about black inventors, too. What did we learn? Pride, compassion and solidarity. Just what the right-wing fights against.

We know that the idea of a carbon footprint was invented by the oil and gas industry to shift blame from them on to the average consumer, so I'm very suspicious about posts promoting the idea. It is very possible that these posts are innocent and just people repeating the idea that was pushed to them but it all just seems too convenient for the oil and gas industry.

Actually the biggest investors in Green Technology and biggest dealers in Carbon Credits are the big oil companies. This actually is a conspiracy theory. While they do fund anti climate change stuff, they spend 3x more on pro-climate change. They are playing both sides. But Exxon makes more money off of Carbon Credits than they do off of Oil these days. They play the system, but they fund both ways.

Meanwhile, idiots keep pushing the notion that personal responsibility doesn't matter! It's all a conspiracy, started by big oil...which means it's not really "our" fault! At all! We didn't do nothin'! It's all them, they need to change, and until they do there is no point in individuals doing anything differently. So what do we end up? Billions of people doing things they know, without a doubt are detrimental to the planet, which means that governments can go "well....people say they care...but, they aren't doing anything different...at all" so all the big polluters not only continue on doing what they do, but they do it while making every increasing profits. Because INDIVIDUALS DON'T F*****G CHANGE A THING. 29% of all emissions in the US come from assholes driving their cars everywhere. Industrialized farming, which is necessitated by the fast food industry....this is not an either or scenario. EVERYONE SHARES THE BLAME.

A weathered fallout shelter entrance with a yellow warning sign and overgrown vegetation above, linked to real conspiracies. One you’ve never heard of. There were tales at my high school of “The 100 Hall”, where all the halls with numbered rooms and lockers started at 200 and went up, so there was no 100 hall. The wild story was that it’s underground, built to be a bomb shelter with stored non-perishables, and had entrances in the auditorium and gym. Turns out, absolutely true. The one aspect of it that didn’t pan out was the attached tunnel that led to the science building at the local university.

If you went to a U.S. school built between 1950 to 1970 the chances are high that it had a fallout shelter below it. Here is an article with pictures of one but they were fairly common due to fears during the cold war. https://www.insider.com/inside-a-cold-war-fallout-shelter-under-a-school-in-dc-2019-2

My middle school (well, one of them anyway) had a bomb shelter! The school was built in the early 1900s and the shelter was added sometime in the 1960s. It was below the auditorium but I think the entrances were sealed off before I went there.

This is not a conspiracy! The fact that a bunch of dumb@ss high school kids weren't fully informed of a bomb shelter in their school is meaningless. In the 50s, 60s, and into the 70s, planning for the literal and figurative fallout of nuclear war was a real thing. Parents didn't go around telling every kid every detail because 1) they didn't want to think about it that much themselves, and 2) why make your kid worry when there's nothing you can do about it. This isn't an effing conspiracty, people!

My highschool is ancient; it was first established in the late 1800s, burned down in the 1930s and is still operating. We've had three school buildings, though. The original burnt down, but it's the second one that's interesting. It had a basement that we weren't allowed into. Later on, we learned that the basement was a kind of training area for boys looking to enlist in WWll. I always thought it was an interesting detail, but I never got to see that basement because that specific building had to be abandoned in 2017 (we had mold all over the second floor, and they eventually decided that the building wasn't safe anymore). They did move the old building's gargoyles over to the new one though! They stare down at you menacingly in the cafeteria.

Bomb shelters are really common in europe because we have history of bunch of countries being bombed, I live in Finland and I immediately can point 2 shelters close by (that I have been inside of) few buildings I know where there is shelter in the basement (but I have not visited), and if I searched there probably would be lot more..every bigger building/building complex has to have shelter by law. They are meant to be used when there is massive gas or toxic leak, armed assault (war), nuclear fallout etc.

NYPD and FBI could easily assassinate someone with or without bodyguards. This is a patently stupid "proof" of a conspiracy. I'm not saying Malcolm X wasn't assassinated (I don't know anything about his death, really), I'm just saying that the claim of this poster is laughable for the reason I stated.

Close-up of the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial sculpture highlighting a significant historical figure linked to proven conspiracies. The FBI and local law enforcement stalked, harassed, and blackmailed MLK Jr. They tried to get him to kill himself. They assassinated a leader of the black panthers in Chicago and then concocted bogus criminal charges against all the witnesses of the murder to lock them up and discredit them. They had undercover LEOs infiltrate basically every single social justice movement and had a whole playbook based around how to make those movements look more radical/violent/dangerous than they actually are to discredit them. Undercover officers and confidential informants at protests throw bricks or try to start violence. Local law enforcement, prosecutors, and the FBI all lied to judges, juries, grand juries, legislatures, and congress saying they never did things like this. People had to break into an FBI field office and steal documents to prove they were actually doing this stuff and had to keep their identities secret for decades so they wouldn’t be prosecuted or persecuted for their actions. And the FBI and local law enforcement still do this stuff but everyone acts like they don’t. COINTELPRO will change the way you look at media, government, and law enforcement

At that point Nixon was wandering around the White House drunk out of his mind and talking to the portraits of past Presidents. So yes they were watching him because they were afraid he'd do something crazy, like order a nuclear launch in a fit of paranoia while blind drunk. Both the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs told their military subordinates not to do anything Nixon ordered them to (including a nuclear launch) without their OK.

This may have been possible at a certain point in time, but the sheer quantity of data moved around today means they couldn't possibly store or analyse it all. They are far more likely to monitor traffic and intercept only that which may hold some interest. So for example, they might be able to see what websites you are visiting, but unless they are of any interest to them, they won't know what you were doing on those websites. Similarly if you a person of interest.

I remember when Snapchat came out and it sold the idea that the images only lasted for seconds and then disappeared forever and I laughed, because I knew even then that nothing ever disappears from the digital record, ever. The reason why I don't worry too much about the government recording everything I do, is that if you think about it, just the digital records of a million people would result in tens of billions of results every year, and so multiply that by a national population and it just becomes impossible to find enough man hours to track even one random person.

Cuban flag flying against cloudy sky, illustrating one of the conspiracies that were proven to be real online. Well, no one really knew about it until I believe the 90’s, so there would’ve been no theorizing, but in the early 60’s the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff drew up a plan called “Operation Northwoods” in which they planned on staging and committing terror attacks across the U.S., only to turn around and blame it on Cuba in order to justify an invasion. The proposal was thoroughly and completely rejected by JFK.

And yet they've done just that numerous times. Committed "false flag" events. Not large scale mind you, but small things that rile up people and get them hating one group or another.

if a white guy kill somebody, is a mental health issue. if somebody of other ethnicity does, is extremism..you don't need to do much than influence how it is referred in the media

I think the lesson here is to make sure we put someone in charge who will reject plans like this. Next time you vote, ask yourself, would my candidate outright dismiss a plan like this?

I always wondered if it was because he was against the Vietnam War and LBJ was for it. (And guess who became President after JFK was killed?). But this Operation Northwood is just as good a reason.

I read that JFK really chewed out the Joint Chiefs in a profanity-laced tirade when they presented this to him, and that he threatened to court martial anyone who approached with anything like that ever again. It's said that this may have been the real reason behind his assassination.

I'm gonna get downvoted for this, but this is why there are so many conspiracy theories abounding about 9/11 being an inside job.

Red race car with BMW logo speeding on a track during an outdoor racing event, highlighting conspiracies proven real. Crashgate. In a nutshell... Fernando Alonso is starting the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix from... quite a bad position, actually. The normal strategy when in a competitive car starting at the back is to load her up with fuel, and go as far as you can into the race before pitting. Weirdly, Alonso is instead one of the first to pit. The only possible way this can work is if the Safety Car comes out due to how the rules are enforced. Well, exactly one lap later, Alonso's teammate has a big crash into the wall, and brings out the Safety Car, allowing Alonso to go on and win. At the time, many were accusing Alonso's Renault team of fixing the result due to how convenient it was for the Safety Car to come out at exactly the right time after the other car crashed. But hey, that's just a coincidence, right? It wasn't a coincidence. It turned out Alonso's teammate was indeed told to crash by the team principal to benefit the team by scoring a win. This all came out in 2009, after the 2nd driver lost his seat for not being quick enough.

Imagine 20 people are driving a 200-mile distance. Nobody can make it that far on one tank or set of tires, so everyone sets their own strategy for when they will stop to refuel and change tires (pit stop). If just one stop is needed, then plan on the ~100 or ~120 mile mark, for example...but circumstances may change plans. If someone crashes, a safety car comes out which requires everyone to slow down, and they can't pass each other on the track (same as a traffic jam basically), so this would be an ideal time to pull over and pit. So Alonso pits at mile ~50 which is a VERY unusual strategy, then a crash happens on mile ~55 which triggers a safety car, so everyone else pits and Alonso (with his full tank) can drive past everyone who is in the pits. So it's like everyone has refreshed their cars at the same time, except one person is in 1st place instead of 15th of 20 when the safety car exits and the race resumes. That one person must have expected the crash...

Two seemingly unconnected events (one guy crashes and another guy happens to be in a comfortable position to benefit from it) that were later revealed to be connected by a deliberate plot, so it's both really. More recently (Dec 2021) there was the conspiracy theory that Latifi deliberately crashed at Abu Dhabi to allow Verstappen to beat Hamilton (who previously had a commanding lead on him). I'm sure that one will persist for a long time.

Silhouettes of two men in suits walking with blurred city lights, evoking the theme of conspiracies proven real. False flags. There are conspiracy theorists that call 9/11 a false-flag attack, and while they’re definitely wrong about that (probably), false flag attacks themselves are not unprecedented. Operation Northwoods was proposed inside the US Department of Defense that didn’t come into fruition, but it called for CIA operatives to commit terrorist attacks against US citizens / Cuban immigrants / US military sites in order to justify going to war with Cuba. The US government is on record for considering the possibility of attacking its own soil to further their interests. An attempted false flag attack that actually happened that I could think of was by the Israeli government in the Lavon Affair. The Israeli government had Egyptian Jews plant bombs in Egyptian/American/British-owned civilian target with the intent of blaming it on Egyptian communists, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc., with the hope that American/British governments would think the Egyptian Nasser government was unreliable for their financial support. Thankfully no one died as a direct result of the bombings and the spy ring was later uncovered, but what made this false flag event special enough for me to remember was that the surviving Israeli agents of this event were later honoured by the Israeli government, which I thought was really messed up given that the UK and the US are allies with the country.

people forget that WW2 was started by Hitler when he staged a false flag operation against a German radio station. He had polish speaking plainclothes german agents take over a radio station & broadcast in polish. Also the US getting involved in the Vietnam war was all based on a supposed attack by North Vietnamese on a US warship off the coast of N. Vietnam. It was all bogus. Prez Johnson and the people who did this never had any accountability. They are all burning in hell now, but it would have been nice to see an impeachment or two. (The Gulf of Tonkin incident (Vietnamese: Sự kiện Vịnh Bắc Bộ), also known as the USS Maddox incident, was an international confrontation that led to the United States engaging more directly in the Vietnam War.)

False flag attack on North Vietnam patrol boats to start the war. 53,000 dead American solders and still no sorry for that. False flag attack 9/11 set up to start invasions overseas. 2,966 dead and more dying every year from the toxic dust.

Cosplayer dressed as Mario holding oversized hammer at convention, relating to conspiracies that were proven real online. In Super Mario Bros. 3, he wasn’t actually rescuing the princess again, was a stage play. [Writer's Note: this conspiracy pertains to how the game opens up with a curtain rising on the title screen, the blocks are "bolted" as if it was a set, the end of every stage is an end of an act and the stage, and other aesthetic details, and Mario is actually Wario in disguise.]

I don't know why this was downvoted, but it was confirmed real. The events of Mario 3 didn't actually take place, it was just a performance put on by the characters. I'm not sure what the point of this is...maybe the creators were concerned about canon so they wanted to be able to 'undo' things that took place? https://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/09/10/super-mario-bros-3-was-all-just-a-play-for-your-amusement-says-miyamoto.aspx
