The “Conservatives Getting Owned” X page has been around for a while now (since that auspicious year of 2020), and has accumulated an impressive 356 thousand followers. In this day and age, most of us know not to pick fights online. After all, there is no “winning” , just a battle to logging off in the mud.
This is perhaps why this page succeeds, as it does a vital job of showcasing the times where folks with questionable ideas had those same ideas obliterated by words. The idea of a person deciding to “report a crime” online no doubt came from pages like this. If that’s not enough, remember, there are all sorts of cases of people owning themselves.

A century ago, about 2% of people were considered left handed because parents and schools beat the $hi+ out of the rest of them, forcing them to use the wrong hand. Many countries still do that, and claim a low percentage of lefties (e.g. China 1%). In ALL the countries that stopped beating left handed children, the number of left handed people is 10-11%. When you stop oppressing people and stop forcing them to unnaturally conform, the real numbers show themselves.
Interesting fact, the more war focused a society is, the more lefties that society produces. Some anthropologist feel that's because striking g with the unexpected hand provides a combat advantage, but only if this is coming from a predominatelyright handed society. There were "suddenly" tons more left-handed people after they stopped punishing kids for being left-handed. There were "suddenly" a lot more people with autism when they stopped leaving beating and leaving autistic kids in the woods to ḍie. There are "suddenly" way more LGBTQ+ people now that their rights are being protected by laws (though not nearly enough). Wonder what the connection could be?

I'm Gen X, and I have a lot of friends who are bisexual and won't say so, or they've suppressed their homosexuality their entire lives bc of shame. Younger generations are more comfortable talking about it, and I think that's a good thing. I have two friends who just came out recently, and they are in their 50s.
Also gen X, and I agree. Lucky, my nearest and dearest have felt able to come out (I hope, but I suppose there could be others) however my parents dealt with their peers coming out after 50 and I have close friends of my age who have had to hide relationships from partners family. I work with kids who think questioning sexuality is normal, I hear people saying this is terrible - but at least more are likely to live as themselves and less likely to marry and have children causing pain to themselves and others because society said so.

Also, one reason there seem to be a lot more LGBTQ+ people today is that a lot of them in the previous generation DIED due to the AIDS crisis.
Same thing applies to people they know moving to liberal areas and being "turned".
I support all of my kids no matter what. One thought she was gay and later decided she was just going along with others. Another thought she was nonbinary and later realized she was gay. Whether it's a phase or real doesn't actually matter, because in the end, whether they are gay or straight doesn't actually matter... At the end of the day, I support my kids.
OMG, there have been gays, lesbians and every sort since the3 beginning of time! It's been documented everywhere. This is nothing new. Their treatment and acceptance, however, shouldn't have taken as long as it has. People are people. IDGAF how you live in your house, but if you need anything, you can come to mine!

I was born in 90s left school 2010 - So grew up as one of the first generations to begin hearing/creating/understanding these 'new' terms. It is so f*****g empowering to have the terminology in order to understand yourself and others! I have known friends of mine who thought they were just outcasts who became suicidal - but now here we have the pride of knowing ourselves, expressing ourselves and just the freedom to be introspective of ourselves and know who we are. Is so sooooo soooooo powerful. When something you don't understand about yourself isn't acknowledged as 'real' by society, you feel lost. I am still learning, but I 100000% believe we are moving in the right direction with the newer generations.
It can't, because people cannot decide to change their sexuality. Quite aside from how often and thoroughly this has been proven, do you really think anybody would choose to be gay in countries where it is a death sentence? BUT, it can be a little of A) less scared, and a little of B) leftist culture actively educating people about the possibilities so that people who are and always would have been bi or trans or whatever now understand that there is a word for what they are. It's like left handed ppl.... back in the day, like when my dad was a kid.. they would literally slap him w/ rulers bc he was left handed n he was forced into being right handed... the numbers of left handed ppl back then were very low bc of this... but once we stopped beating children who were born left handed n we just allowed them to be fucken left handed... the number of left handed ppl rose.. not bc we are forcing kids to be left handed... or bc now that there's some out n proud left handed ppl that it all of the sudden means other kids are going to choose to be left handed... it's bc we are accepting of left handed ppl now n we don't demonize n abuse ppl who are left handed.... just like the LGBTQIA+ community. I look back on my childhood and young adult years and then at current trends and can't help but wish, sometimes, that I'd been born forty years later. Choices were simply not available back then. It's difficult to imagine how my life might have been if I'd been able, for example, to simply wear the sort of clothing I felt more comfortable in. Gender identity is a complex area and I don't pretend to understand it all, and indeed I don't really feel like I fit any of the 'identities' in common usage today, but oh, how jealous I am of this generation having the choice. And having the choice to just be, without having to be defined.
Not to be a pain but the date range for generation z is incorrect (97-02) is only 5 years. It should be 1997 to 2012.
EVERYONE deserves to live their authentic lives, and not have to hide themselves away to avoid being shamed—-or murdered—-for nothing more than being their true selves. All consenting adults, not twisted, not criminal, not insane, not hurting anyone, not forcing anyone to be like them—-which are ALL things that supposedly “normal” people have always done, all the way back to the beginning of time, to anyone who doesn’t conform to their cruelly and sufficatingly narrow vision of how everyone should be.
Personally, I believe that children shouldn't be able to become transgender untill we get more data and information about it.
What they said! I grew up in Tulsa, OK in the 80s. I didn't know any LGBTQ+ kids at my (public) high school with a graduating class of 550. I'm 100% sure that this is because they didn't feel safe coming out, and not that they weren't there. (And I am so sorry about that. I wish I had known enough to create a safe environment for them.)

It's true the skyrocketing Trans population within kids and teens is now questioned by Healthcare professionals. For LGB well, that's just nonsense. People don't come out as gay or bi for the trend ffs.
My child is nb. Here's how I see it: if it's a phase, my support as the parent is no different than allowing them to dye their hair bright pink; they'll outgrow it and no harm done. If it's not a phase, then insisting that it is and refusing to support them will cause serious emotional damage.
