We all have our favorites. It can be the food we can’t live without. Also, some apps we open every day. Even the movies we’d rewatch forever. But what if you had to choose just one and the rest disappeared off the face of the earth?

I don't think they were as innovative as we like to think. Other bands did the same things earlier, they just weren't as big, so everyone thinks the Beatles did it first when they copied.

And, a lot of theirs is surprisingly easy to play, think Brown Sugar for example, ... the basic rhythm guitar with the inverted chords, you can even play it sufficiently well - with a band - without changing to open tuning. Of course, it's then even easier to play, but regardless, it's easy and cool and a nice one among the first goals when learning to play guitar.
I always liked Queen, now I can't understand how they're so popular. See, the funny thing is that while I was growing up in the 1980s there were two songs from Queen which were cool (We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust) and one that was nerdy fun (Bohemian Rhapsody). Wayne's World kinda busted everyone for that guilty pleasure. Other than that, no-one listened to Queen. Not that anybody disliked them, they were just a joke. The definition of campy. And the cool songs were largely so cool because you needed something to sing to when you just won the Little League game. Also, we were clueless: I remember finally seeing one their '70s videos on MTV and understanding why they were called "Queen."
Let me guess: You're in the USA? They were big everywhere else even before Live Aid.
