Saddest part is that a lot of celebs even get paid to promote a charity.

Anyone that listens to celebs and takes their words as gospel deserves every thing they get.

Aside from being paid to do their entertaining thing, celebrities ARE actual human beings. They're just people. They have just as much right to promote their causes (yes, even if they're paid to do so) and speak out on whatever subject, just like you can. They may have a bigger media platform, but you are free to ignore them regarding charity, regarding politics, regarding anything. You are also free to draw media attention to your cause or charity as best you can. Who's stopping you? I can't think of one celebrity who has pressured or influenced me into giving my money to a charity.

Check all that work: labrone, Ellen, Oprah, etc. Do. not lump all together. We are better then that.

I always hear that celebrities donate to charities all the time, we just don't know about it. Well, I sure as H*ll would like to hear about it! We have so many televised charity-thons to raise money for various causes, and I try to contribute, but a celebrity crying because a child doesn't have food peeves me a lot. They beg us to send money to these poor unfortunates, but yet how do I know they are supporters or just out doing what they feel is their bit for these people. I try not to be cynical, but they have so much, yet they shame the poor to help the poorest.

Well this can be true for some. But i ignore the ones who are saying they are doing charity and make it a selfie or photo opt time.

I hear the Clinton Foundation is hiring (movers - they shut down. Wonder who gets all the left over loot the Ruskies gave them.

Let's not forget the politicians and celebrities who fly all over who have huge SUVs .

There is one thing we can do: Get out and vote. Vote for the senators and representatives who aren't afraid to push for single-payer, universal health care. And if someone calls you a socialist, tell them to look at Japan, which a) is hardly socialist, b) has the world's longest life expectancy, and c) has a well-established universal health care system.

Don't have to wait for it. Come to Ukraine, we are constantly crowdfunding some sick child's care.

If you need to watch a video before trying to do something to help, it doesn't matter whether there are ads or not; the person will probably die anyway. That's the reason why everybody should learn some very basic first aid skills, like the Hemilich Maneuver, at school, instead of soooo much useless rubbish.

I always wonder why they made it that it's the customer's job to make sure if the workers/servers are paid or not. does this system works?

And people working in the media industry earn way more than any manual laborer or most of the engineers, scientists, medical doctors...

My niece is 5. I cannot imagine her having to represent herself in any legal matters. I'm 30, and I can't imagine representing myself in any legal matters.

I knew a girl who got Hep C from her ex-boyfriend. Her insurance would not pay to fix it unless she was very very ill. As far as I know she still has it. Had she gone to jail she would have been treated and it wouldn't be an issue anymore.

They also move the general public from public film locations and replace them with actors who play the "general public". It's about having control over what is being filmed. The demographic of those being moved to accommodate a public film location, is not the issue at hand.
