Been there last year. Worth every penny and the 4 hours train ride from Athens. You may also know the city as Meteora. Easily among the most beautiful and incredible places I've been on. Highly reccomended. I wish I could post pics here for you BP folks.

be aware you may need more than a day if you want to fully view the entire gallery. It is absolutely humongous... also, don't bother with the Mona Lisa, it 99.9% likely WILL be crowded and you WILL NOT be able to get a closer look at it. Instead, I'd go view and admire some of the lesser known artworks rather than the one we can see online/in books etc all the time. xP

Don't bother- it's small, far away from the path and the traffic is hopeless. You get just as good a view from the traffic jam passing on the main road

Just got back from Switzerland and I’m convinced it’s not a real country. It’s a made up fairytale. It’s too beautiful to be real.

Originally the Clock tower but renamed to the Elizabeth Tower for the Queens diamond Jubilee, the bell is Big Ben.

Got to experience this place during a riot once when dozens of officers raided the hash market. Fun place though. Been stoned here dozens of times.

Walk down the gardens to the rear of the waterfall where you can look back at the palace throughthe falling water. Great photo spot.

Worth a visit. It is right next to the train station.

Looks like a fairy tale castle.

Saw the Matterhorn from over a hundred miles away while flying from Frankfurt to Malaga, Spain. One of the two highest peaks in the Alps.

Just across the street from Neuschwanstein Castle mentioned above. You can visit both in a single day.

After a look round here pop over the road for a pint in 'The Museum' pub.

The history of the weird sht that went down in that place rivals the architecture.

Somebody grab that thing! (But on a more serious Note, I have been to see this and I just have to say that it is leaning way, way, way more than it looks in photos. I refused to walk under it…)

If you look at the walls you can still see bullet holes from WW2. They weren't deliberately covered up

I’m a bit unreligious, but I do so love religious architecture. Doesn’t even matter what religion. It’s like someone gave out pencils and paper to a bunch artists/architects/engineers and said “Go nuts. Here’s some shrooms if you need them. “
