Sometimes, things work out, but other times, the dress can leave a LOT to be desired! These images show some of the worst dresses that brides and bridesmaids have received when trying to save!

This is really not the same dress. I don't know if the bride asked to have some of the beading removed...but not same dress.

I wore that Alfred Angelo in 2013 with a champagne band. I think I paid $800. It was gorgeous (required underskirt)

Some of these look like someone found a laughable dress in a thrift store, then tried to find a picture of a designer dress that looks even the smallest bit similar to claim "Cheap knock off!" But this one at least looks like a legit knock off.

A crinoline slip would go a long way with this one. Maybe a little more tulle on top of the skirt. But overall not a bad copy.

this 1 is not 2 far off of the mark it needs 2 be altered to fit the wearer- most of these just need some alterations and they will be fine

The thing is, these dresses look fabulous on the models BUT, you don't see all the nips & tucks that have been done to the dresses to make them fit the models, or the clips pulling them in at all the right places!!!

The color on the bottom is ok, and the ruffles are really close. Just something with the bodice is wrong, too much blue for one.

These aren't ads vs reality, these are originals vs knock-offs or IY attempts that failed. Not even close to the originals on most.

Reality check: Couture isn't cheap, and a model's size 2 isn't going to look good on another woman's size 12.

a lot of people ight disagree with me- but i say that sometimes- (NOT all th time) if it more expensive, it has a higher chance of being better. if its 10 dollars for something that looks like it should be over 300 dollars, its way to good to be true. but this doesnt mean that you cant find amazing dresses at places like thrift stores, or other websites. im just saying sometimes you need to pay a bit more to get the dress of your dreams, but not like a million dollars more.
