Not all days were made equal. You see, while sometimes everything falls according to plan, other days turn into 24-hour-long grueling benders that make you question why you even dared to get out of bed.

Blame it on bad luck, your daily horoscope, Mercury in retrograde, incantations, karma, or anything you want, but it doesn’t change the fact that misfortunes and fails do happen. Think of them as compulsory reality checks that remind us we are mere human beings with little to no control of greater things happening in this world. But philosophy aside, if we can’t change anything, at least we can have a good laugh at it.

Bored Panda has compiled this list of people having a worse day than you so you can feel slightly better today until your fail day comes, and when you’re done with this post, check out our previous features here, here and here with more failure.

At first I thought this person's partner was kicking him/her out, so I guess it could be worse (I'd be p****d though too if this happened to me)

It’s only human that things sometimes fall out of our hands. It feels like the world is against you for some unreasonable reason and to call it irritating would be a hefty understatement. But if we can’t change a bad day, we can always change the way we look at it. And here we’re going to need some help from a professional. So to find out more about resilience and the power of positivity, we spoke with Susan Petang, a certified divorce coach and the creator of “The Quiet Zone Coaching,” who teaches people how to stop feeling overwhelmed and start waking up happy in the morning again.

The Only Path Back To My Room Blocked By Cute But Incredibly Angry Sea Lions

NanoArowanaTank Report

The first step towards building mental resilience is instead of viewing these unfortunate moments as "failures" or "misfortunes," view them as learning opportunities, Susan argues. She urges us to think of a couple of things: “What can we learn from this? How can we use this to become a better human being/worker/parent/partner?” and added that crucially, it's a matter of mindset.

It turns out that some people are more naturally resilient than others. “But it's because they learned to think positively at a young age,” Susan said. “Our attitude towards life - the good, the bad, and the ugly - is formed before we go to kindergarten. Positivity isn't about putting your head in the sand and singing 'lalalala' when bad things happen; it's actually just the knowledge that we'll be OK no matter what,” the life coach explained.

According to Susan, positivity and resilience are very closely related. “Positivity is the understanding and belief that you'll be able to bounce back from anything; resilience is when you actually do it.”If your day is going against the plan and you feel like you could blow up anytime, Susan shared some very useful insights on how to put yourself together and get back on track.

“I teach my clients to use The Power Questions. It's a great way to interrupt the spiral of emotions when everything is hitting the fan!” They are as follows:

“How important is this, really? Don't make mountains out of molehills.

What is something positive and constructive I can do about this? Be solution-oriented instead of blame-oriented.

What emotions am I feeling right now? By identifying and labeling them, we shrink their power over us."

Exactly! If they're charging that much money to work on people's hair, they should dâmn well know which hair will accept which dyes and if the end result will turn out correctly. I've heard stylists explain things like that to people before and many of them know. It's ridiculous to end up with hair like that for that amount of money.

You. Can. Not. Get. Silver. Hair. In. One. Sitting. If a stylist says they can, you usually wind up with this. It's a gradual process of lightening & toning. It's also a TON of damage control & upkeep.

This isn't a haircut, this is hairdye. And if you want to dye your full hair, that's going to coat you more than 40, at least here in the Netherlands. Just because you don't like to spend money for your hair, doesn't mean you get to judge someone else for it.

Your hair has to be pretty much white before it can be gray. If your stylist didn't know that, she had no business touching it. When you were told $400, then it would be appropriate to go full Karen.

Also , if you don't have it fixed by now , you should try using a toner and then toning shampoo . It might turn out closer to how you wanted it
