I know from my husband that hot tar roofers don’t wear steel toe boots because if hot tar is spilled on it, it gets hot enough to cause serious burns to your foot before you can get the boot off your foot.

I've had the steel-toe boots I wore to a warehouse banned because of this reasoning. In substitution they required heavy-duty leather boots instead. Btw, many employers with safety requirements actually have to spell out to new employees that, for example, flipflops are not allowed to be worn in the worksite. It's funny because lots of the training and safety signs point out other very obvious ideas: be careful on wet floors, keep your hands away from the drill press.

I’ve had many family members try to stay with my husband and I during our so far 25 years married. My answer is always and will always be no. If they’re visiting from out of state for a few days yes, but no one will be moving in even temporarily. Those “temporary” situations always seem to come with problems…I don’t need or want any more problems in my life.

I’d have been so far gone the second I found out my SO did not tell me they are/were a s*x worker! It wouldn’t necessarily be a deal breaker but lying about it most certainly would be! (There would be no hanky panky until a thorough check up has been completed and all STI’s are ruled out!!!)

I’m the last of my family name my dad only had me and he was the only male on his side. So when I married I took my husbands last name but I kept my maiden name and it is now my legal middle name. :)

I agree with KatSaidThat…I’ve met lots of dogs in my 48 years on this earth especially as a rescuer the last 6 years…even some that survived horrific a***e. After loving care and time they can often overcome bad behaviors such as aggression.

Anyone with small children should not have toy breed dogs! They are so easily injured by kids and they’re more likely to bite than a pit bull is…bonus points because they also tend to go for the face and neck when they attack. The worst dog bite to a child’s face that I’ve ever seen came from a 5lb chihuahua (Child’s grandmothers dog). Child had over 50 small lacerations that required washing out and stitched. My one year old grandson has never been near my dogs simply because I’m not sure how either will react.

You do use are if it's more than 1, but here it's 0 ("neither" is the subject of the verb, so "0 answer"), hence "is". You should use singular in the vast majority of cases, but sometimes, for emphasis and when you add a descriptive (like "neither of the answers that were given to him") you can use plural. (in this example, it's still "neither of the answers that were given", because all the answers were in fact given even if 0 was correct).
