There is a type of demon in Japan that takes the shape of a large white dog with black, light-sucking eyes with slightly glowing rims around them. It brings misfortune and death. And I've always imagined it resembling an inu-type dog, only one with a straighter tail.

That's beside the point of this cute picture... but yeah it's true, probably doesn't hurt to remind people of that. Cats will drink milk because it contains proteins and animal fats which they generally can digest with no problem, so their sense of taste says "yeah this is edible", but they are actually lactose intolerant, like most adult animals.

My work colleagues used to move a deer hunting decoy all over our offices. One time they put it in the back seat of someone's car. Guy almost had a heart attack when he looked in the rear view mirror. We still laugh about that story.

I used to have a five foot stuffed turkey. I would take it to work around Thanksgiving and put in someone's chair after they went home with the "arms" positioned in the person's keyboard. Would always scare the person when they came in and thought someone was sitting at their desk

Humorous, but one bite from the cat and the bird can get deadly diseases. At least the Yellow-Headed Amazon can deliver a really nasty bite in self-defense. That cage is way too small. Our Cockatoos have very large ones. They are usually out anyway.

Oh don’t worry I know the story behind this he was at the vets’ (not a shelter) and he’s ok (obviously well enough to climb a 4 or 5 foot fence several times) he just kept escaping because he was smart and the owner walked in to find him on top of the fence like this XD

This one is really sad. The bread can rip their skin off eventually and leave some very rough wounds. If you are to toss the bread slices to birds, please, PLEASE rip them apart.

Wearing it like a boss! You are right though. People used to feed birds bread CRUMBS not slices. Near me someone keeps tossing out whole slices of bread which usually just end up uneaten, go mouldy and then they become even more dangerous for dogs, cats and wildlife.

In Bulgaria we have a festival for chasing away demons and evil spirits. Men(called "kuckeri") dress up in creepy costumes with lots of horns, wool, teeth and large bells and this particular sheep closely resembles some of the costumes!

Most ducks can fly very well and this is a Mallard duck which is a good flyer and a migratory duck. It can fly up to 800miles in roughly 8 hours, the only time they can't fly is when they molt and that is for about a month.

My grandma’s eyes used to reflect like that in the dark (due to cataract lens replacement). It was scary as hell to see this little curly haired old lady down a dark hallway with her eyes glowing.

There's an inherited health condition - something to do with connective tissue? - that has been diagnosed that way. People who have it show reflective retinas in flash photos.
