Jimmy Craig Is Back With His ‘They Can Talk’ Animal Comics, And Here Are 30 Newest Ones
Have you ever wondered what would happen if animals could speak the human language? Or if perhaps we humans could understand their language? Well, artist Jimmy Craig answers this question in a comic format, and over 590K people on Instagram seem to agree with his ideas on how animals perceive us and our world.
From talking dogs and cats, we delve into a world where any animal can convey their thoughts and some of the situations portrayed might leave you squeezing out a smile or two.

I put out dried corn for the squirrels. They stuff their cheeks and bury it all over the yard. By early summer, I'm picking random corn stalks out of the lawn.
Jimmy's comics take into consideration not only your typical everyday pets like cats and dogs but also animals like turtles, lions, birds, and even worms. Truth to be told, we could only wonder where he gets all of these ideas for the comics, especially when he makes the dialogues sound very accurate, as if the animals could actually speak, they'd tell us that.

They would gather by a pond and leave a huge mess. One day I found a flock in a parking lot near my house. I had never seen them there before. Thankfully they didn't leave a huge mess that time.
In an older interview with Bored Panda, we asked Jimmy about his drawing career and how it progressed over the years, and here's what he had to say to us, "I like to think that the art has improved over the years. I think doing something consistently naturally leads to getting better at it. I think the content of the comics has had to evolve because I used up low-hanging-fruit ideas early on."

What makes Jimmy's comics even more interesting though is the fact, that he also has pets, so some of the situations he describes are taken from his everyday life with two cats! Jim's cats help him find new ideas as he told us a little about them. "They're both so different, so I think between the two of them I can make jokes that relate to a wide range of cat owners."

One of my dogs can catch it, the other can't and wants it either handed to her or placed on the floor. Her face when we get it wrong... oops.

I once read an article on how to recognize your cat is stressed. One of the things was: "Cats sleep up to 20 hours a day. If your cat sleeps more, it may mean it is stressed"

My cat is not that polite. You have 1.5 seconds to respond to the demand before he runs across you as hard as he can, knocks over anything possible and then finds some type of plastic to start chewing on. All while giving you eye contact.

I highly recommend David Attenborough's documentary "Birds of Paradise." Some of the most out of this world birds with mating dances that look like modern dance.

My dog growing up used to eat cat turds from the litter box, dirty tissues, cigarette butts, and any discarded trash. It was like he had a secret honing system to find the most repulsive piece of trash and eat it like a gourmet meal at a Michelin Star restaurant. And yes, he was fed exceedingly well with fancy dog food.

I think this has something to do with different kinds of spiders indoors and outdoors. Garden spiders (orb weavers) are everywhere here and make the most beautiful webs but I’ve never caught one inside!

Cobwebs aren't made that way by spiders... They're old webs and even other fibers like hair and dust that have accumulated over time

Cobwebs are just dusty threads from the spider as it travels around the house. They aren't actually webs meant for catching anything.

Sniffing, walking and for my male dog peeing every few steps. Walking a male dog seems to take a lot longer to do the same route... it annoys my female dog when she is in a hurry to get to the next sniff!
