The first flower crown college professor Yarely made was for her dog, Australian shepherd Freya. And that one was just for the pup, to take fun photos for Instagram. Well, what started as a simple prop for a picture soon turned into a brand. The Californian created Freya’s Floral Company that offers a selection of flower crowns for both, people and animals. "I received such positive feedback that I decided to begin making crowns for other dogs to spread the love," Yarely said.
The artist uses artificial flowers to construct delicate compositions, even offering custom orders. Yarely claims that every single crown she makes is unique, even the ones made out of the same selection of flowers having different compositions.

Stunning, glad it's not one of my cats with the flowers on, it'd be in shreds now !!
the husky is wondering if he can eat those flowers. Like all good dogs, its the first question they ask on seeing something new.

Since Yarely started offering the flower crowns to the public, there have been many who wanted to put their dog in this magical couture. Perhaps one of the greatest models to rock the flowery accessories is Leonidas, a spectacular Instagram star from Chicago. Leo is a Maine Coon cat with close to 150k followers on the image-based social media site.
He has modeled a selection of crowns from Freya’s Floral Company, gathering thousands of likes from people all over the world, praising the kitten's fashion sense and dreamy look.
"I knew nothing about making crowns so I just winged it. After posting a photo of Freya in her crown I received a lot of positive feedback," Yarely told Bored Panda. As for what inspires her to make the individual pieces, the artist revealed it's landscapes she sees. "I am a Chicana and Spanish speaker. When I visit Mexico I draw inspiration from the colors and the vibrant energy," she explained.
Though while humans usually find wearing flower crowns a flattering experience, animals are a little less cooperative. As in how to get your pet to wear one, Yarely had this to say: "I always recommend bribery! [...] I trained Freya to wear crowns on her head."
This kitty is so regal and looks like it's lost in thoughts! This is a forest queen.
Those colors match perfect with this dogs fur color.. love all of these but this one is truly a perfect match
"Freya is the heart of my business. We joke that she is my quality assurance coworker" Yarely revealed what role her dog plays in the creative process. "I test experimental pieces on her to make sure they are sturdy enough to sell. [...] She is a great model (when she wants to be). Although I get photos of her, she definitely gives me some sass," she added.
Yes, with a look that says, "I pity the fool who put this thing on my head."

Yarely also revealed that Leo is actually a big source of inspiration as well as the biggest promoter of the crowns. "Leo’s momager has been a huge source of support helping me promote my business and giving me advice. I am proud to announce that Leo has the biggest Freya’s Floral Co. collection and he is a source of inspiration" she explained. The artist also added that she often thinks how certain pieces would look on Leo while making them.
the two colored eyes make this doggo even cuter (im a sucker for animals)
Some cat's would go insane if u try to put something like this on them, this is super cute!!!
"I've often seen photos of dogs in flower crowns, so I thought cats could rock them too!" Leonidas' "momager" Jane explained how she first decided to put the crowns on her kitty. "Luckily Leo is a very laid back kitty, and lets me put the crowns on his head" she added.
The shimmer on the blue and the slightly less shimmer of the purple just makes this thing so perfect.
Jane confirmed that "people absolutely love seeing Leo in the flower crowns". No wonder that people love seeing the stunning Maine Coon in such dreamy compositions as pictures speak for themselves. "These photos often do the best among all of them" she revealed.
on the first day of christmas my true love gave to me a dog with really cool eyes that are blue and brown with a super cute flower hat.
That doesn't fit the tune.--. "...a dog with a lovely floral crown.

'Yo Dave...Did you poop in the laundry basket or am I gonna have to do it after this photoshoot' hahaha
What did you say, I can't hear, there is something on my ears !!!
Looks like he is about to fall backwards with the weight of the darn thing lol bir like those dancer chicks with massive fruit baskets on their heads lol
I love how the backround, the flowers, and everything look like the dogs personality
The colour palette on the crown with the cats eyes and fur colouring is lovely.
"I'm better than you all" xD!! Why was that what I thought the dog might have been saying when I looked at this?? lmao
I've gotta say, the photographer captured something I've never see in animal pictures like this. Very well done. Thank you for sharing these , they're all amazing imo.
So beautiful. Making me remember my old dog, Avery (R.I.P. 2004-2016) and that funny vine about the cat having a flower put on its head.
Am I the only person who focused so much more on the animals than the flowers, then halfway through the list said, "Hey. I've been missing these great flowers."
For me, the flowers were not important, I love the animals and like to see their expressions and their beauty, each one with their colors and adorable faces !!!
Load More Replies...they seem like they belong on the cats...like if you saw a cat without a flower wreath on its head you'd go, "awww, poor cat missing it's wreath". lol But the dogs, look like they are just appeasing the human making them put silly things on their heads
