I was born in Oradea on the 9th of April, 1973. I have been a photographer for over 20 years. I prefer portraits, nudes, aerial views, street photography, and photo manipulations. I managed to issue seven illustrated editions of the Bihor County monography, which contain about 1.000 photographs, illustrating the most beautiful nature in the county. I also issued six editions of the Travel Guide Book of Bihor County, two editions of the Oradea Mea album, Comitatus Bihoriensys album, many postcards, and pocketbooks, which reflect my style and photo ideas.
In 2013 my photographic activity took a turn towards artistic aerial photography and I managed to become an EAAFR (The Association of Romanian Artist Photographers) artist and E.FIAP/b artist (Excellence of the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique), obtaining 685 prizes (185 gold medals/1st place/trophies) in 58 countries. I had several individual and group photography exhibitions. I have also participated as a judge in Bulgaria, Croatia, Ecuador, Denmark, Georgia, China (2 times), Italy, Australia, India, Singapore, and Romania.
From 2016, I started the first authorized Photo School in Oradea with the authority of the Ministry of Work and the Ministry of Education from Romania.
I would like to show the beautiful landscapes I've shot from above... For these cool photos, I won several gold medals around the world, including Drone Awards 2018 in the Abstract category!

How is this possible??? It's beautiful. And my new desktop wallpaper! Ohkay, and it just hit me how this was done--- these photos were taken during winter and summer and were 'stacked' together to make this amazing photo! I LOVE IT!!

Wow, Ovi D. Pop, I LOVE your style!! Your photos are unique and very inspirational! I wish I knew how you did this. I just got my first professional digital Canon camera a few months ago and I'm still learning how to use it. These photos are amazing! They are so unlike others that I've seen. And I've seen a LOT of photos in my 50 years!

You can certainly tell which was east lies. But I wonder--- why do the churches not face east as well? I guess they were all hoping that their lord would sneak up on them? LOL (No offense meant, to anyone. Just trying to make a light joke here people!)

The biggest reason for buildings, especially long public ones, to not face east is lighting and heating. With modern tech it's not something society really talk about too much about anymore, but if your building is long and narrow and the majority of the windows face north and south you're not gonna get as much light and heat into your building as possible. It's actually a common reason why people want south facing windows, allows for some light but not a lot of heat. Also most wind is north south and putting the largest walls against that cools the building quicker. While having a big stained glass window facing east is pretty cool, most rural churches like this were congregations of farmers who'd be up before the sunrise but be busy doing farm chores for a while and traveling while it was still dark could be treacherous even on roads. As church is mainly a once a week thing, even back then, because of lack of hearing it was better to go once the sun had risen just above the horizon.

He talks about awards he's won etc which is fine as all he's doing is stating facts. It would be arrogance if he said "Yeah I've won over 600 awards because my photos are the BEST." He never boasts at all. There is literally no arrogance here, he's just telling us about his photography career.
