They're beautiful and nice to look at, graceful and expressive, and they can subconsciously make you follow their every whim, which is great for sales.
These commercials are not necessarily about cats themselves. Sure, there are some obligatory cat food ads, but the list isn't only about that: sometimes they can convey a relatable, powerful, and simple-to-understand message without even moving a paw. That's the power of gracefulness that most cats have. There are also euphemisms like "fat cat" and "scaredy cat" that can be used as a snappy shortcut that anyone can connect with instantly.

I used to have a cat that you could brush and get the equvivalent of an extra cat in the brush. And she would still shed buckets of hair.

Anybody else who has done this before? I make a few stripes for entirely practical purposes - I can easily see in the dimly lit corner if the cat has used the box. A small mound they make is not so noticeable as the sharp lines disappearing.

It could be a Norwegian Forest Cat, but I think it's a Maine C**n. I've got one, he's only 6 months old and he weighs over 10lbs already!

Cats are obligate carnivores. They literally NEED to eat meat or they will go blind and then die a slow, painful death. Unlike other animals, cats can't synthesize the amino acid taurine, so they must get it from their diet; and taurine is only found in meat-based proteins.

Imagine if we were pets for a superior being who cares about us, but only as long as we are not inconvenient to him. He would say that he loves us, but we would rarely see him or even understand his actions. Sometimes we would be punished for our natural behaviors. Whenever he neglects us, we would make excuses for him, thinking we owe him devotion for he is so much bigger and wiser and he always knows better.

Is nobody goung to point out this wouldn't even work? The cat would be flailing and thrashing around trying to get the first broom off before you even put on more of them. Bow, replace the cat woth a child, and suddenly this becomes funny because it's possible... But glue it to their clothes not their body, geez.
