16 Funny Tweets Prove That Kids Today Have No Clue About Old Technology
Technology allows us to communicate instantly, but also creates barriers to understanding. The world is changing so quickly, that what was once common is quickly outdated, along with all the idioms, colloquialisms, and slang that came with it. But I must sound like a broken record to you…
These tweets perfectly illustrate the generational linguistic divide between adults and children: we use a metaphor or analogy to try and make what we say clearer, and it backfires! So, dear pandas—do you have any examples of the kids these days just not getting it? Vote on your favorite tweet below, or post your own!

that's not all, many of the kids today probably doesn't know why we say 'dialing' a number too
I had to read this a few times before I figured out why it was weird. Lol I hadn't thought about that one. I do think about how it's funny that most kids don't know where the shutter noise on their camera phones comes from...
Someone forgot to tell them to watch for the birdie.

Way back when, I thought if you were going to correct someone's punctualization you should know better than to pluralize with an apostrophe.

While I was waiting for my turn in the chair to get my hair cut, my daughter nudged me and asked "What's wrong with their TV Dad?". The shop had a small B&W portable, daughter had never seen a B&W set before.
My 10 yr old grandson will watch a B/W war movie with me, but my 12 yr old granddaughter won't consider B/W even if it won 10 Oscars!
My then 7 yo said to me while looking at the photo album "mom I'm so sorry the world was black and white when you were little"

My sons fave video that he thinks is hilarious, is horrible and has this ridiculous tune that you get stuck in your head. And the gist of it is, 'I sit on people'. It's so much having that stuck in your head.
Yesss!!! Mine will purposely grab my iPhone just so I'll run around the house chasing after them. It's a daily battle....
Or giving it to them and letting it parent them instead of doing it yourself...... But hey that's none of my business

That is Thumbs up to you! I believe ALL children need to do that! We spent summers on my Uncle's farm when I was growing up. Many wonderful memories.

If they actually don't then they are reading their friends' account in school or on overnight visits at their house.

My daughter does that. Also while she sleeps. When she sleeps. This is a semi-legendary occurrence. My wife has the TV on right now while she uses her Ipad.
Load More Replies...Well first of all, I would have never gotten a iPad for my child!! Hell no, that wouldn't go, in my house! I don't f*****g care what other kids have, their parents aren't paying for them (my child)- I am! And second, kids nowadays don't need to get everything they ask for- we didn't when we were kids (well most).
This is par for the norm where I live! We scrapped a ton of channels and got ours down to $130 :s And now we want to watch something and we get 'you don't have that channel'. LOL.

Load More Replies...All I'll say is, stop putting technology in your kids hands. Play with them, let them see the trees, let them be at one with the world and their surroundings. I think there may be a slight link between the anti social behaviours of modern children and the amount of screens they are staring at on a day to day basis! Just saying!
Knowing how to open the tablet doesn't make the kid smarter in IT, they can only play with the tablet ;). And yes, I have a child.
