‘YouTube Rewind 2018’ Becomes The Most Disliked Video On Youtube, And Here Are 50 Best Reactions
Looking back on the year can be both cathartic (or exhausting) - but this year's YouTube Rewind video, recounting the video clips, music, and trends that dominated the year, has made people salty not nostalgic. In fact, people are so bitter that it is now the most disliked video in the platform's history. In typical internet form, people had not only comments but created plenty of reaction memes to the video.
The trip down 2018 memory line beat out Justin Bieber's 2010 hit single 'Baby,' which accrued more than 9.7 million dislikes over eight years, with 10 million dislikes in just three days. So what has everyone so wound up? While this YouTube video did center around creators, giving them dialogue throughout the video, people found it didn't focus on their actual content enough and was more catered to advertisers.
This comes as no surprise, however, over the past few years creators and YouTube celebrities have become more and more frustrated over the platform's algorithm. The changing program has caused creators stress and pressure to churn out mass quantities of videos, and thus burning themselves out. YouTube has evolved into an online giant but did not prepare any systems to take care of the boom of creators that have become the center of its culture.

I also noticed that there were plenty of same people that were in the previous YouTube rewinds and when I tried to Google who those people are they were not all that famous. It is sad that really many more older and popular YouTube channels are never featured in YouTube Rewind.

I'm not a fan of PewDiePie, but he's the most subscribed to YouTuber on YouTube. How was he not in YouTube Rewind???

Because youtube doesn't know the difference between REFERENCING something, and PROMOTING it. Referencing Pewdiepie would have been fine, but promoting it wouldn't have. And yet they still left him out.
