People Are Sharing The Most Laughable Excuses Not To Get The Covid Vaccine That They Saw On The Internet (50 Pics)
The World Health Organization has announced time and again that COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be safe, effective and life-saving.
What’s even better is that the new analysis by PHE found for the first time that 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be “highly effective against hospitalization from the Delta (B.1.617.2) variant.” So as the contagious new variant is sweeping across the country, getting a COVID-19 shot is now basically a matter of not getting severe complications, and for some, it’s a matter of life and death.
But when it seems like all the evidence of the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination is more than obvious, some people still find the excuse of not getting it. And honestly, some of their reasoning is beyond insane.
From believing that a COVID-19 shot will turn you into a living zombie to claiming that Jesus himself is enough of “a protector and a mask” to protect from the virus, it’s one hell of a read. Treat it as a sci-fi read at most or utter craziness, and scroll through some of the worst excuses people shared online down below.

Some employ arguments found on fake news websites, others go deep into conspiracy theories that revolve around mistrust in government and science. So in order to find out what’s at the root of the mind of vaccine sceptics and COVID denialists, we reached out to Robert Gifford, a Professor of Psychology and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria.
Robert is best known for his “The Dragons of Inaction: Diagnosing and Slaying the Barriers to Positive Climate and Environmental Action” study. According to this theory, these dragons are a compendium of psychological barriers that hinder a person’s desired actions. Robert argues that “they have mainly been gathered to help explain why a person agrees that climate change and environmental sustainability are important problems, yet does not take enough action to effectively deal with those problems.”

I had Covid spring 2020, got vaccinated spring 2021, had the bloody Delta aug 2021. I can assure you the second covid was nowhere near the horrible first one where I couldnt breathe properly for 3 months... Vaccines protects!

Seán, a crisis actor is someone hired to play a disaster victim, etc., in order to help train first responders in role-playing scenarios. More recently, though, it has been used by conspiracy theorists who, for example, have said that victims of mass shootings are crisis actors hired to make it look like the shooting really happened (as they are asserting that it didn't happen at all). I hope that made sense.

There is some truth to this “SOME” being the operative word. Kids raised in super clean environments are more likely to suffer from things like allergies, this is due to the immune system not having to work, so it ends up attacking more things we commonly come into contact with, like asthma which can result in death. This morning I woke to a voice-mail from the hospital saying the Covid ward was full again and we'd be going back to 2020's "use the OB wing b/c that has good isolation in place already" routine. I'm just a volunteer, who can do triage and advanced first aid, work in research and advocacy, and if they're dragging my sorry butt in to help? YES YOU NEED TO VACCINATE. Because I'll now spend my day having people scream at me to go fornicate with myself, for, oh, six-eight hours, unless they have me in the ER doing whatever i'm told from registering a patient to holding someone's shattered bone in place. My niece, who lives, eats and breathes on social media, refuses to get a vaccine because of all the usual and aforementioned reasons. Her big issue is that "they" lie and "they" just want money, and if it was safe it would have been approved right away. Then she cites 5 or 9 horrific stories from her friends that they got vaccinated and grew horns, saw demons, etc. This is the same group and niece who were vaping their heads off years ago because it was " safer" than smoking cigs and even when she and 3 others ended up in the hospital with lung infections and worse from buying crap vape online made in China with motor oil or some such she defended it as saying it was rare and so what, stuff happens. So I just go O.o

I'm absolutely terrified of needles, have been my whole life. I've had panic attacks and blacked out before. But this Sunday I am so excited to get my final injection. If there is anyone else out there who has this fear I get it. Needles are scary, but the Covid injections are going to give you peace of mind. The injections will keep you safe.

She says she's an evangelical person and this is just like the Biblical story of the sheep and the goats. I'm a paramedic and have been listening to idiotic excuses from a fresh new wave of Covid patients. Just this week I heard the dumbest one yet. Three generations of people live in the same house. Grandmother: none of us are getting that vaccine because my husband has a bad medical history. ....... That was their excuse to NOT get the vaccine. Should come as no surprise we are transporting granny to a Covid unit and grandpa is in the next bed.

I've lost 2 family members, aunt and uncle from different households, to Covid before the vaccines were developed. Most of my family are vaccinated, and those who are not are waiting for theirs. My fiancée as well as 5 other family members who are vaccinated got Covid, but they suffered much lesser symptoms, got over it and feel fine now. The only hope we can get out of this is all the anti-vaxxers die off and end the anti-vaxxer movement. Also, Anti-vaxxers are usually vaccinated by their own parents while young making them hypocrites

I was one of the first people in my state to get the vaccine. This is my experience: Step 1: I went to a public vax site, got jabbed within 5 minutes, and sat around for 15 minutes to look out for anaphylactic shock. 2: I went home. For dose numero dos, repeat steps 1 and 2 and then add step 3: I felt like crap the next day, as to be expected. I simply watched a documentary and binged some anime. The day after I was fine, it really wasn’t a big deal. Just get the vaccine.

Seriously wish anyone seeking hospitalization for covid who has not been vaccinated (and doesn't have a valid medical reason like true allergic reaction) would be refused entry. We need those beds for people who were in car wrecks, have heart attacks, need cancer treatment, etc. Why should those people have to go without care because some self-centered ignorant shite decided he knew better than the real experts?

I was a health care provider working through the entire first wave of covid for year and a half now taking a sabbatical leave because of severe physical and emotional burnt out. These people and majority of the population DO NOT understand nor have seen the reality of what this virus has done to our society and our people. People are all focusing on the byproduct/side effects of what this virus has done to us, ie. where is my stimulus check? ban vaccine and mask mandate, blah blah blah instead of focusing on how to cure THE ROOT of their riot which is THE VIRUS!!! Read these posts closer, many of them were arguing for argue sake without any genuine concerns. STOP THE NONSENSE if we want this virus to go away. It is the only way because apparently trying to explain why masks and vaccine are necessary is the waste of time.

You do not exist in isolation. That is the reason. The vaccines reduce risk. The chances of catching it so therefore the chances of passing it on to someone else. Fine, if you only put yourself at risk but who never interacts with others? Are you a recluse? What about the way the vaccines reduce the symptoms and risk of death - even if you don't pass it on to someone else is there no one your illness or death will impact? What about the bed you may take up or the nursing staff who will care for you? Do you not care about the work you cause them, the sadness as they see yet another death? There is no way that getting covid does not impact another human being in some form - that is why people should take the vaccine, unless they are medically exempt, and in which case they should be protected by the rest of us.

This morning I woke to a voice-mail from the hospital saying the Covid ward was full again and we'd be going back to 2020's "use the OB wing b/c that has good isolation in place already" routine. I'm just a volunteer, who can do triage and advanced first aid, work in research and advocacy, and if they're dragging my sorry butt in to help? YES YOU NEED TO VACCINATE. Because I'll now spend my day having people scream at me to go fornicate with myself, for, oh, six-eight hours, unless they have me in the ER doing whatever i'm told from registering a patient to holding someone's shattered bone in place. Yeah. So... VACCINATE. I want to go back to just research and advocacy, please... Patient-centered medicine starts with education of patients. ...my motto

I hate the anti-vaxxers that use God as an excuse more than any other. It makes so many people think all Christians are terrible, but they can actually be good people that do get vaccines and work to keep others safe.

My niece, who lives, eats and breathes on social media, refuses to get a vaccine because of all the usual and aforementioned reasons. Her big issue is that "they" lie and "they" just want money, and if it was safe it would have been approved right away. Then she cites 5 or 9 horrific stories from her friends that they got vaccinated and grew horns, saw demons, etc. This is the same group and niece who were vaping their heads off years ago because it was " safer" than smoking cigs and even when she and 3 others ended up in the hospital with lung infections and worse from buying crap vape online made in China with motor oil or some such she defended it as saying it was rare and so what, stuff happens. So I just go O.o

I'm absolutely terrified of needles, have been my whole life. I've had panic attacks and blacked out before. But this Sunday I am so excited to get my final injection. If there is anyone else out there who has this fear I get it. Needles are scary, but the Covid injections are going to give you peace of mind. The injections will keep you safe.

Kudos to you! It's definitely much scarier to be intubated and put on a ventilator than to receive two injections. I'm not afraid of needles, but have claustrophobia. It's good to celebrate instances where we overcome our fears. Treat yourself to something nice after your shot 😊

I have to post this somewhere. Listening to Donnie on CNN, he interviews a lady coming out of a Trump rally. She says she's an evangelical person and this is just like the Biblical story of the sheep and the goats. He asks her which she is, she replies she is a goat because she is definitely not a sheeple and won't take the vaccine. Dear God, we have a problem here with this proof positive that evangelicals don't even read their own scripture. Sigh. Just a quick review for folks who might need a refresher. In Matt 25, God separates humans into sheep and goats. The sheep are the ones who love and care for their neighbors, the hungry, and the homeless. The goats are the ones who have ignored God's teachings about kindness, generosity and taking care of one another. The sheep are going to heaven, the goats.....well, let's just say it's going to be hot, hot, hot. At least she admits it.

I'm a paramedic and have been listening to idiotic excuses from a fresh new wave of Covid patients. Just this week I heard the dumbest one yet. Three generations of people live in the same house. Grandmother: none of us are getting that vaccine because my husband has a bad medical history. ....... That was their excuse to NOT get the vaccine. Should come as no surprise we are transporting granny to a Covid unit and grandpa is in the next bed.

I've lost 2 family members, aunt and uncle from different households, to Covid before the vaccines were developed. Most of my family are vaccinated, and those who are not are waiting for theirs. My fiancée as well as 5 other family members who are vaccinated got Covid, but they suffered much lesser symptoms, got over it and feel fine now. The only hope we can get out of this is all the anti-vaxxers die off and end the anti-vaxxer movement. Also, Anti-vaxxers are usually vaccinated by their own parents while young making them hypocrites

I was one of the first people in my state to get the vaccine. This is my experience: Step 1: I went to a public vax site, got jabbed within 5 minutes, and sat around for 15 minutes to look out for anaphylactic shock. 2: I went home. For dose numero dos, repeat steps 1 and 2 and then add step 3: I felt like crap the next day, as to be expected. I simply watched a documentary and binged some anime. The day after I was fine, it really wasn’t a big deal. Just get the vaccine.

Seriously wish anyone seeking hospitalization for covid who has not been vaccinated (and doesn't have a valid medical reason like true allergic reaction) would be refused entry. We need those beds for people who were in car wrecks, have heart attacks, need cancer treatment, etc. Why should those people have to go without care because some self-centered ignorant shite decided he knew better than the real experts?

I was a health care provider working through the entire first wave of covid for year and a half now taking a sabbatical leave because of severe physical and emotional burnt out. These people and majority of the population DO NOT understand nor have seen the reality of what this virus has done to our society and our people. People are all focusing on the byproduct/side effects of what this virus has done to us, ie. where is my stimulus check? ban vaccine and mask mandate, blah blah blah instead of focusing on how to cure THE ROOT of their riot which is THE VIRUS!!! Read these posts closer, many of them were arguing for argue sake without any genuine concerns. STOP THE NONSENSE if we want this virus to go away. It is the only way because apparently trying to explain why masks and vaccine are necessary is the waste of time.

The truth is however, that it actually takes a lot more effort to do the logical and rational sidesteps in order to come up with some of this crap, so clearly lack of intelligence doesn't play so much a role as does the overly abundant availability of dead wrong information and the speed at which it spreads. You do not exist in isolation. That is the reason. The vaccines reduce risk. The chances of catching it so therefore the chances of passing it on to someone else. Fine, if you only put yourself at risk but who never interacts with others? Are you a recluse? What about the way the vaccines reduce the symptoms and risk of death - even if you don't pass it on to someone else is there no one your illness or death will impact? What about the bed you may take up or the nursing staff who will care for you? Do you not care about the work you cause them, the sadness as they see yet another death? There is no way that getting covid does not impact another human being in some form - that is why people should take the vaccine, unless they are medically exempt, and in which case they should be protected by the rest of us.
