Just what I was thinking. My daughter is both extremely nearsighted, and known for her quirky glasses style. She worked briefly at a salon, and one of her co-workers did her makeup for her. I love the picture of her, but it's not my favorite. I like the ones where she has glasses on. It's just part of her.

Well, wearing glasses all the time for every photograph hurts behind your ears the same way wearing a mask does. It leaves red marks on your nose. And if you wear them full time, you get used to seeing them on your face, and therefore think you look prettier without them or just fancy a change.

Maybe they just don't think her current frames suit her and didn't have time to go and pick new ones? Otherwise I'm with you.

Yes I always feel so so ugly in my glasses no matter what I do, it would help if they didn't always dump the glasses in a makeover

I think the way they did her bottom liner on the right looks nice. It's much lighter and softer, possibly just smudged eyeshadow rather than actual eyeliner. That hard line on the left is really unflattering.

Not true, this is generic advice that gets regurgitated all the time by people fixated on Western standards. Makeup should be tailored to complement individual faces. Americans especially have a bizarre ideal for blue eyes with warm tan skin, which is just not a flattering eye look and there is a reason for this. It's an old painter's trick to create depth of field by using blues and greys as background colours because they do not stand out. It's an optional illusion that makes you think the things are further back or smaller. This lady's eyes will always appear to have a greater depth of field against the warmth in her skin and hair anyway - the eyeliner is not flattering on her because it essentially frames this effect - it makes her eyes look like they're in a hole. If your beauty standard is cool eyes warm skin / hair then yeah, it's no wonder you think bottom liner is unflattering, but on warm eyes it works because it frames something in the foreground.
