Women Share Unexpected Responses They Get After Asking Out Their Crush On Date, And It’s Too Entertaining
Remember how last year women were sharing the responses they got after asking out their crush on a date? Well, it's that time of year again and the same British relationship blogger named Oloni has once again asked her followers to pursue the people they have so desperately fallen for.
"I came up with the idea [for the challenge] by thinking of ways I could push women to be more confident within themselves," Oloni told Bored Panda. "The challenge was an exercise for women to practice making the first move." The rules are simple - women summon the courage to ask their crushes out for Valentine's and share the reponses they get. Dami picked this special day because it's an honest celebration of love, "It shouldn't be exclusive to those who are in relationships alone."
Even though the pariticipants of Oloni's challenge can receive only one of two possible answers, the staggering amount of different shapes and forms they come in is insane. Not all of them, however, are what you'd expect. Nonetheless, Dami thinks you just have to be straightforward and reveal your feelings. "It's better to get it off your chest, instead of thinkinging 'what if?'" Scroll down to check out what happens when you face your fear and go after you crush, and upvote your favorite entries!

This is a depressing thought... that I can relate to!
Load More Replies...They obviously know each other, friends, colleagues etc. Maybe been out in a group before or had number for work etc... Or... She asked someone for it...
Load More Replies...THAT guy's a keeper. Men who love their Moms make really good spouses (generally). Because, they're already used to a woman telling them what to do!
He sounds like a keeper. And I bet his mom will be thrilled he has a date.
I have to add at this point....In text, really?! Is that the best way?!
Sounds Irish - this is very common here. Many Irish he pronounce "th" like"d" or "t"
Load More Replies...Well that escalated quickly! She asks that person on a date and they want to spend the rest of their lives together! :-)
Slightly over-zealous on the "rest of my life" part. Depends on if they'd been friends for 10 years already, though.
So happy for you all. My boyfriend died last W-day and will be buried tomorrow. Just last week was thinking of what we will do. I miss him so much. :-(
I'm so sorry about your boyfriend. Surround yourself with a strong support network. You can do this, I promise.
Load More Replies...I like your style! Asking to have a date on Thursday shows you have confidence that the Wednesday date will roll into seeing the Thursday early morning sunrise together. Truly beautiful!!
You see creative, I see delusional. I like your way of thinking more.
Load More Replies...an unexpected invitation will get an unexpected response..the guy might be thinking its a prank
Perhaps not, I thought these were all going to be happy outcomes.
Load More Replies...he didn't have to put the last line, unless this was from his g/f.
Not the exact same thing, but still made me think of this: 2a53c9392c...046753.jpg
I like the cute responses, but she doesn't seem to want to follow through? Why even ask him, then? I feel bad for the guy!
Its just a rude way of saying "no". Lucky her, to not date that guy.
Load More Replies...Douche. What the hell is wrong with a simple 'Sorry, but I'm not up for that'
Quick, grab a dictionary and a thesurus before going on your date! Your intentions sound beautiful but you might want to find better words. ;) Taking a s**t together on a first date isn't the most attractive idea to most of us.
"Can we have kids maybe" lol im dying. It was a date! Not an invitation to f**k
the last bubble is the proof, he got nervous after realizing he messed up
our pies? (herpes isnt as bad a thing as it used to be -modern medicine and all)
"her-pes" and "our-pies(sic)" should be "our-pes" - like a play on words, trying to be cutesie....
Load More Replies...You don't have to stalk your crush or anything, but knowing if they're married or not is a must😂😂
I just realised that Valentine's Day is on 14. Sorry, I had never known.
i thought he was being a bit rude then he sprung the last msg on me! i change my mind this is cute xD
I like all of these but reading them can be a huge pain. I just don't understand why people don't type out full words. I have never texted or messaged anyone like some of these people do. I'm not a grammar nazi but damn.
It's even worse when people write like this in online (facebook, etc) comments. Texting like that was a thing once, when you had to tap numbers repeatedly to get the letter you wanted so it took forever to type in full, but it' never been necessary anywhere else.
Load More Replies...Also could be a gay couple, what's so shocking? xD
Load More Replies...If she really is then I think of the guy much better for him saying this, rather than agreeing, to be honest.
He may be her husband ;). My companionand I have these kind of jokes
Load More Replies..."... to someone that could pulverize me." Otherwise he would've said yes.
This person needs to quickly get some tact and class. I'm sure that wasn't the way to go. I'm sorry for the person who asked. They deserve someone much better.
Kudos to her for answering that and showing how gutted she is. When he's put down that way, at some point, he hopefully remembers why Karma is out there to get him.
AWWWWW, Buddy Just go out! But then again, Sweetheart, don't waste your time on someone who gives You an answer like that ( Unless He was just trying to be funny!)
This was fine until "I didn't mean for YOU to misinterpret things" ??? That's not how that works no one should feel sorry for their feelings and they shouldn't be seen as a misinterpretation.
thats what IM afraid of! I have a mad crush, but we're really good friends, and i don't want to ruin it.
Then don't let it ruin your friendship if you ask and he declines. If you're cool with it and he's cool with it, then cool. If he's a douche about it, that's not a good friend anyway.
Load More Replies...(s)he could have just said 'sorry, I don't feel the same way', cause this reply stings
There's nothing to say there was leading on. And maybe they didn't mention a bf or gf because they don't have one. Are they supposed to read minds that this person is developing feelings and then lie about a bf/gf, as opposed to just saying what they feel once the subject comes up?
Load More Replies...“I went down my list.” Yikes. Don’t say that. I’d have turned him/her down, too.
You know what they say, aim for the moon, and if you miss, well, you ‘ll drift endlessly into the cold, solitary emptiness of space...
Ouch.... i'd just be happy she asked.. (at least u made the list).. not why so late, unless u already have a date.
this guy needs to find a better use of his time, and let the girl ask.
Powells is the best bookstore! Book lovers: If you ever visit Portland, OR, go to Powells!
I'm guessing they're talking about Powell's world of books in Portland OR ...aka "THE bookstore"
Why are people not cropping the pictures instead of covering half the screen with a manga-abstract death star?
Ok, this made me laugh out loud and made my day! Manga-abstract death star XDDDD
Load More Replies...the replies don't have to be so harsh, a simple "I don't feel the same way" or "I'm in a relationship" would be better
How come the French part was obscured? Can't be worse than the English part!
It does say "baby doll" at the top. If someone is naming their unspoken crush that in their contacts list, that's creepy.
Load More Replies...I suspect some of these are just asking their boy/girlfriend. Otherwise i would be shocked how serious this gets within 2 messages :D
The only one I can find yet is: 'State Administrations of Radio Film and Television' lol!
Load More Replies...he should of come back with a date the next day.... make the girl feel wanted dude.
the never part gives you away. if you really dont want them to ever respond, you block them. your a jerk.
I`d rather sandpaper the behind of an alligator in a phone booth ! :D Where have I heard that ?
Not only did she dodge a bullet on the Valentine thing, she should no longer be his friend. That was vicious. Just say no, ya douche.
Maybe there's a reason to it. Otherwise, no is enough.
Load More Replies...It stands for Woman Crush Wednesday. He (or she) really likes her! It’s cute.
Load More Replies...Lol I'm commenting a lot, but I bet it's because they don't really mean it and it's a lot less deeper than writing "I love you"
Load More Replies...i hope that was good. if it wasn't i would tell him " you should be lucky that anyone likes you"
Booski-a term of endearment between two people, usually those of the african american variety that want a russian twist to the word boo.
Load More Replies...what .. is sea food platter a red flag? (love the conga line)
Probably a couple already, messing with each other.
Load More Replies...I hate it when people say 'lmao' to EVERYTHING. Laughing my a*s off! Laughing my a*s off! Laughing my a*s off!! Ugh. It's such a stupid thing to say. Even in a weird, unreadable acronym.
I know! It doesn't help that whenever I see it I always read "lame mayo"
Load More Replies...all these "Black Panther week" responses- lame ditch- it doesn't come out until the 16th ;)
Argh, guys who act this snobbish p**s me off! I'd never talk to him again, and if he would ever ask me out, i'd give him a cold shoulder.
In his defense, it might be his religion. I know my religion, Messianic Christian, doesn't do any holidays besides Thanksgiving. I'm not trying to be rude! Sorry if this is offensive, I am just informing!
Load More Replies...Yes they took a picture of the screen with another phone. This is a Snapchat conversation and the other person gets a notification if you take a screenshot.
It's not them asking themselves! They are replying tho the message they got.
Load More Replies...I think they should start talking about it a year or so before to keep the roster clear. I'm not serious, of course.
make it a 3some if she's in the friendzone.
Load More Replies...Looks like it's only been 23 mins. Maybe he's asleep or his phone's charging in another room. No reason to panic yet.
Some of these people are finding out who they should no longer even be friends with. Brutal.
Whether you're female or male, asking someone you like out on a date takes serious courage. If someone brave enough asks you out and you don't want to date them (for whatever reason), be polite about it. Don't try to be cool and shut them down brutally. Rejection hurts enough as it is. It's the very fear of rejection that makes asking people out a brave act.
I think brutal rejection is ok the 10th time someone is asked.
Load More Replies...I got an impression that many of those are conversations between bf and gf.
"you're married" Is she a whore or does he just think she's married due to some romcom style b******t? I need to know that story here.
I honestly feel bad for a lot of the guys in this. When they reject the girls, people freak out and assume it’s always a jerk move on their part. Maybe I read too much of r/nicegirls, but honestly, maybe they have legitimate reasons. Obviously , they could also just be rude in the ways they say no, but there might be more to the stories than we know...
Idk how these people do this! It literally took me two hours to talk myself into asking my crush for his number...
It goes to show, many times the men we would like in our lives are pretty shy. Sometimes that little bit of courage we muster up leads into the beginning of beautiful relationships. Showing the strength to take that first step also leads by example. It might give that shy guy the "UMPH" you had and show them they can continue to do the same! Great article and good for the women who did ask their crushes out! :)
YES more strong women in the world is what we NEED! loven these!
