We certainly have not yet discovered all the mysteries of the world, and that's how we end up speculating on things. Sometimes, we just have that weird feeling in our gut when hearing about socially acceptable truths that we know of today, telling us that they might turn out to be false instead. That has happened before, so why shouldn't it happen again? We are only human, and we do tend to make mistakes.

So, I'm sure that everybody has a conspiracy theory they believe is true despite there being little to no evidence. Therefore, I asked our community to share what they choose to believe. No judgment here.

“What Conspiracy Theory Do You Believe To Your Core But Have No Evidence For?” (30 Answers) You say conspiracy theory, I say prove me wrong! I am certain that Mr. Trump has done more dishonest, despicable, morally corrupt, illegal, selfish, anti-American, treasonous, misogynistic, and immoral acts than any other president or politician in history. I'm sure that many have been put to death for treason for much less than he did in his first year of office. Yet, there is absolutely no way (January 6 Committee notwithstanding) that he will ever be held responsible. The man colluded with Russia in order to tamper with our election. Hello!? He incited the riot on January 6th making it possible for murder and injuries to occur. And those are just the few that we know about. I don't want to hear about all the Trumpers' denial out there. Brainwashing is real. Look it up. He deserves to be locked up in a federal penitentiary for the rest of his natural-born life. He will never be severely punished, let alone slapped on the wrist with a fine. So what does that say to the next person or organization who wants the presidency? Pretty soon the American government will be run by the highest bidder who may or may not have ties/affiliations to a foreign government. Slippery slope, people. Open your eyes.

Yes, I find it very arrogant of us to believe that we are the only species in the whole universe to exist. (I don't necessarily believe in Alien abductions and that little green men landed here, but the universe is so vast, who's to say there's no other life forms on other planets)

I love love love the Southpark episode on the 911 anticonspiracy, and that is my conspiracy I believe in. For those who haven't watched it, basically they say the government made up these conspiracy theories and let them loose, because 911 happened exactly as it did, but the government refuses to allow the public to see how weak and defenceless they really were so they decided to give a show of force instead.

Ok, there are lots of conflicting arguments here, which is cool, we're all sharing our thoughts and enjoying a good old debate. My question is WHY are we having a debate? If the whole thing was so straightforward, why is it seemingly so hard to put it to bed? Why are these doubts and question marks still surrounding this tragedy 21 years on? Why are arguments still raging between experts? In a technological age, why do we have better video of Bigfoot than of one of the most secure buildings in the world, the Pentagon? Until these questions are answered, the debate will rumble on, I'm sure.

Many people say that the WTC wasn't built to withstand the impact of a fully laden jet. I was watching some old episodes of The FBI Files and Season 1, Episode 11 covered the first WTC bombing in 1993. This episode aired on February 9, 1999 - almost two full years before 9/11. Around ten minutes in, the narrator says that the WTC was built to withstand much more powerful bombs than was used. He also clearly stated that the WTC was built to withstand the impact of a commercial airliner. Now I'm not saying that's gospel, because I'm no expert, but I do think it fuels the debate. I also find it strange that WTC 7 collapsed in exactly the same way as the towers but without the impact of a plane. All three went down in exactly the same way - pancaked - but only two were hit directly. As a layman, I have to say that I find that rather odd.

Engineer here, there's nothing odd about it. Steel under the right circumstances, in an instant, ceases to act like a metal, and more like hot rubber, I've watched it happen in a controlled environment. If you ever get the opportunity to watch railroad workers replace rails (not railroad ties, but the rails themselves), the steel behaves like limp spaghetti noodles. Same concept is why the towers collapsed, and took neighboring structures with them.

While that may be true, I always laugh at the theory that the pentagon was hit by a missle and not a plane. Literally in the same hour, we have film footage of two planes crashing into the twin towers, yet it isn't possible that a plane hit the Pentagon. Plus I live in the area, there were thousands of witnesses as there used to be a major road that ran right by the Pentagon (which has since been redirected),

Alright, Here We Go! I have no evidence for this but it connects to 9/11. What if every skyscraper over a certain size is rigged for implosive demolition in it's initial construction? Most of these large buildings are built and owned by a handful of wealthy firms. From their standpoint it would be less expensive to lose a single building than to lose an entire block of property in the worlds worst game of dominos. So if there ever comes a situation where the structural integrity of a building is failing rapidly... you enter the self destruct codes and the building goes down in place rather than tipping over and taking out the next five skyscrapers. But the ethical/moral implications of such a setup would be so intolerable to the public that it would have to be kept secret, no one would want to live and work in a building that they know could implode at any time if a malicious agent got ahold of the control mechanism. Again I have absolutely zero evidence of this.

What happened was so out of the blue in method and scope that no one in the US Military, intelligence or security communities had as much as contemplated that it was even possible to coordinate and pull off such an audacious attack. The terrorists had meticulous plans but also a dose of good luck whilst the authorities weren't even looking for anything like that. Its scary that the US government was caught so blindsided and people prefer to think theres a reason for that. The truth is there weren't failsafes in place for that eventuality and those that did exist were complacent.

And, that the black coloured smoke was because of an accelerant/or because of using controlled detonation. The way that the building fell straight down was because of controlled detonation. Saw a really good documentary interviewing one of the chief talk building demolition experts in the world. Plenty of World leaders have poisoned, murmured their own citizens… Consider that this WAS about oil! Heroin. By engaging the support of the population/world stage the United States could then go and blitzkrieg the s**t out of yet another 3rd world country.

The biggest issue I have with 9-11 is that they haven't released good video of the plane hitting the Pentagon. Not because I'm a ghoul who wants to see it, just that it would put a lot of these conspiracy theories to rest. The video that they did release looks like it came from a cheap piece of c**p camera across the street. We all know that the Pentagon had better surveillance than that.

I never thought that until I saw the 911 program that was done in Canada. Did you know that the top floors of the WTC are actually much lighter than the bottom? Makes sense as the higher up you get the less weight you have to support, right? They have measured the speed of the collapse, and found that it was in free fall, meaning that it could not have come down any faster than it did. If the collapse was legit, than every time a floor collapsed, it should hit the floor below it, slowing it down. That never happened. And, there was just too many coincidences... No defense? A fighter jet can travel mach three. 2100 mph. And none could get there on time?

1. You're not military so 2. you've no idea that there is no standing order to down a civilian jetliner for being out of contact on 11 Sept 2001 (there is a different protocol *now*) and 3. there were orders to down a civilian jetliner but the passengers crashed it first and 4. Top floor weighs 1unit. Top floor smacks into next dloor down, which also weighs 1 unit. Now the mass is 2 units of weight. And it gains, with gravity adding to force. Science works. Also, the heat of the fire really messed up internal structures at WTC. There was no "coincidence". There was a terrorist conspiracy. And if you bury a hot mass, it stays hot for a long time. And what to do wtih the trash? Stash a whole two buildings of it for what? Also, the fires were not at the roof or at an easily accessible floor of WTC, so how was water gonna hit it?! That day was awful enough without adding to it with this lack fo common sense and science.

“What Conspiracy Theory Do You Believe To Your Core But Have No Evidence For?” (30 Answers) More and more I believe big industrial groups create fake product shortages in order to increase prices and push people to purchase things that they don't need (in fear of lacking something).

Examples in France this year:

- Semiconductor shortage and now the price of a new car has almost increased by 30%
- Sunflower oil missing for weeks and went from 3€ per liter to 6,50€ "because of war in Ukraine" when the sunflower oil was already stocked and the future seeds were to be harvested months afterward.
- Mustard, same shortage, same overpricing, same lame explanations, when you could buy tons of French mustard in foreign countries at a lower cost.
- Gas/petrol these days, several reasons given (at first it was due to the success of a commercial operation, then a strike in refineries, and today no explanations at all and still many gas stations are closed or have just one type of fuel.

Some people blame the lack of foreseeing of industrial groups who didn't buy enough to meet the demand, I think it's done totally on purpose, less storage, fewer workers, fewer logistics, same income.

Almost a year later, boom... the gas shortage thus doubling and even tripling the price. They figured it worked with TP... it'll work with anything.
