It's true what say - one man's trash is another man's treasure, especially when it comes to second-hand items. We all know that thrift stores are loaded with amazing items that are yet to be treasured by new owners. Somebody created a facebook group to help people share all the amazingly weird things they encounter while browsing Goodwill's shelves. We made a list of some of the most unusual specimens scroll below to see them!

"It’s all fun and games until you realize the first panel is a sex act. It did not come home with me."
It's not natural! I don't think safety pins really have sex.. 😂😂
Load More Replies...When a mommy safety pin and a daddy safety pin love each other very much...
where do people think babies come from. Its cute and an interesting conversation starter
We may have to make our own. Fancy crowdfunding :)
Load More Replies..."Found a magazine ad of my Great Grandma and twin uncles from 1952! They're all gone now, so it's a doubly amazing find."
They were for 1950 and they are both dead. I guess I won't feed quackers oat to my twins.
That was the 1950s for you. It's her face, but her husband's first and last names---the only person NOT in the picture---on the ad. She should've gotten full billing, same for the kids. They were beautiful and deserved it. Please don't take what I've written the wrong way; it's a lovely picture and a really cool memento of the poster's relatives, especially since they're all gone now.
"Today’s find...they may look like normal old ratty chairs, but here’s the kicker - I already owned them once before. Brought them to the US from Europe when I moved back home in 2001, and stored them with a relative. After a rift in the family, I considered them a loss. Here they are, nearly 20 years later, in a 2nd hand store. Though they may be much worse for the wear, they’re coming home with me (again)."
I'm sure a furniture repair person bring them back to their original state.
I somehow managed to rebuy my old Atari 2600, 20 years after selling it at a car boot sale. It made its way across to the other side of England, to another car boot. I know it was mine because my house number and post code were scratched on the bottom.
I had a slightly similar experience with a table. I saw the same table again in a party supplies store. I knew it was the same table because it had the same burn mark in the wood as when we first got it.
Oh my GOD. what if there's a way to give it a Jurassic Park ringtone?
My daughter might actually learn how to use an "old fashion" phone with this
Bewildering, but does it work... go to electric outlet? I’m a fan 66699D79-6...b-jpeg.jpg
"It just occurred to me that you guys might appreciate this. I found it at goodwill, new with tags and could not believe my luck."
Yup... Pens have caps... pencils use NO protection at all.

That's awesome! Would look great in our bathroom basement... GoT theme!..sort of.
"My new favorite shirt I found"

"Just a bunny sitting on a lawn chair reading a book. He spoke to me at GW and I rescued him. He moved into my bookshelf and looks happy."
Plow and Hearth sells those. They have the rabbit and a bear I think. I got one for my dad once
Only forty dollars for our USA cousins a few minutes ago. Out of stock on Amazon UK :(
Load More Replies..."If only I had known it could be this easy.
Maybe I should have brought this one home."
And to start fights even with my family where most never complain about gifts.

I f*****g love it when misogyny is universally bad and frowned upon, but misandry is just fine and even encouraged. Let's all hear it for feminism- how many downvotes can this comment get for saying hate is bad?
It’s coping humor that comes from exhaustion and annoyance. Nobody really wants all men to be sent to the moon.
Load More Replies..."I resisted buying these."
Me neither. This should be in everyone's cupboards for that special moment it's needed.
Load More Replies...I have photographed lifestyle images for this company. The company is named Fishs Eddy and they have a ton of funny and great product like this.
I probably would have bought it if it had included an appropriately-placed comma. But, alas, it is sorely lacking in comma.
"Found this yesterday at GW."
I love this and I want one. It brings back fun memories of my youth...And that's all I'll say about that..😜
Were you a pyro or something as a kid? Into melting objects as a result of exposure to heat, perhaps?
Load More Replies...Look up Dali melting clock. They are pretty inexpensive.
Load More Replies..."When you have feet like Tinkerbell....
Original Docs, immaculate condition.
At least eight people tried to cram their feet into these while I was in the store. It was like Cinderella meets the Hunger Games.
They’re a perfect fit.
Sometimes the odds really ARE in your favour!!!"
I've been lucky enough to find Docs two times in my life at thrift stores
"Found this strange looking pot at the Goodwill. I had to buy it. Loved all the comical animal pictures on it."
"I was poking around a quiet antique store when a booming male voice said "come closer, try your luck! Dont be afraid." I jumped so badly I nearly knocked over a display... needless to say, he didn't come home with me..."
This is a valuable, unique piece I would love to have.So colorful and well preserved
Yes! I have been trying to find a place to spend my 2,000 dollars, Oh wait I'm 12. :(
$7200, on the sticker in the top right corner.
Load More Replies...Imagine coming home with this and just leaving it out for your SO/parents/roommate to discover
Oh wow, if have to take it home! And then, the next day, it would mysteriously be gone.......love that movie!
These things are horrifying. I remember one from The Amazing Misadventures of Flapjack, I cartoon I used to love. The episode with one of these scarred me.
"I sure hope it works.. amazing!
Just an edit for those who don't read comments: it works, AND glows in the dark, AND has flashing blue/green/red lights.
I am truly blessed"
I have a mouse like that, but instead of a beetle, it's Homer on a donut raft floating in some kind of liquid.
"I procured a passel of partially painted piggies in a pretty package! Pondering painting 'em psychedelic patinas..."
"LOOK what I found today. It is 110% haunted and I will love it until it possesses my soul and I stop feeling human emotion."
"My absolute favorite Goodwill purse find that I wear a LOT! It's a 3D flat purse. I had wanted one for a really long time, but they're normally $75 brand new. This one still had the plastic sheeting on the buttons and was never worn. I think I paid $7-$8!!! It's surprisingly roomy inside. MAGIC!
EDIT: This is an original Jump From Paper bag. Yes, I know there's cheap ones online, but those are knock offs. Please love and support your designers and artists by buying originals. Ok, off my soap box. Thanks!"
You know that when you buy originals but not from the original artist, the artist still gets 0? You might as well buy a cheap knockoff. If you want to support your designers and artists, buy their originals _from them_.
You're right. Buying a second hand bag for $7 instead of a new one for $75 makes no sense at all. Especially when the multi-million dollar company needs your money so badly.
Load More Replies..."Please love and support your designers and artists by buying originals." By paying 10% of the price in a thrift store.
She does realize buying from Goodwill doesn’t support the original artist right?
HOLY C**P I have that bag too!! I found it at a consignment store called Plato's Closet for like $9!!
Just like I’d rather buy local farm fresh produce here in Ga.. no comparing with the real thing!
"I almost didn’t buy this whimsical AF lamp today, because I am a grown-ass woman, but then I remembered I’m a grown-ass woman, and I can do what I want. Also it was $2. Bought at Twice Blest in Palatine, IL."
Apart from the subject, the phrase: "I almost didn’t [do something], because I am a grown-a*s woman, but then I remembered I’m a grown-a*s woman, and I can do what I want" is just perfect.
I often buy kitchy things that a grown-a*s woman shouldn't want...LOL
Load More Replies...That is one of the things I love best being an adult woman, mostly buying what I want, even if all I want to do is look at something!
"Once upon a time my children knocked the father wall pocket off the wall, shattering him. Today I found this mug.
CHILDREN, FATHER CAME HOME!"
More curious about WHAT IS BEHIND YOUR HAND AND HOW ARE YOU NOT POSSESED?
uh is no one gonna mention the guy with the creepy stare in the corner?
"U see this guy in the club...with the polyester Taco-Cat button up...smash or pass?"
And a man with a sense of humor. You can go a long way with a guy with a sense of humor!
Load More Replies..."It's a stitch purse!"
I am beyond jealous, I want this sooooo bad. I am googling where to buy this.

"I found this teapot purse at the local Goodwill...I'm a potter by trade, so obviously I HAD to buy it! The funniest thing is, the spout has a real hole, so all my money can pour out I guess."
Next time you go out to buy ice cream or something like that, fill it with small change and pour out your payment.
So you can slide coins that you find into the purse without having to open it.
I use to have a purse that looked like a Chinese take out box. I guess it'll make it to a list like this someday
"These awesome T-rexes came home with me today. The bowties reminded me of the SNL skit. I shall name them Patrick and Chris!"
These are from Target! I actually have a set for sale in my Mercari store right now. Lol.
They aren't salt and pepper shakers by any chance are they? They'd be perfect for my collection, lol
I'd buy anything that reminded me of gorgeous Patrick and funny as Hell Chris!
"It's a stamp. And one of my most cherished thrifting finds."
Oh jesus i didn't see That it was a stamp at first and i thought the ink on it was... not ink
I have the same image/saying as a fridge magnet. I’d never leave my magnet on the bus..
"Hands down, my favorite posession."
I used to have this same pic hanging in my bathroom before the wildfire burnt the place down. It's such a cute picture! I loved it!
We have this hanging in the restroom at the animal shelter where I volunteer, LOL!
We have this hanging in restroom of the animal shelter where I volunteer!
I have the same one! Got it when I was a teenager, around 35 years ago! I love it!
I found this picture in Greenwich Village NY back in the 80's. It may still be buried in my possessions.
Reminds me of me and my sister in grandma’s bathroom decades and decades ago! lol
"Not sure if it classes as weird...a find in a local charity shop in Sheffield UK"
There's so many things there that are weird. What specific item are you talking about?
Does it turn so you can fail at solving it (or succeed, but I’d fail)
"Elvis has NOT left the building because, where would we put him!?!?"
That's rude, that is clearly just a person standing there
Load More Replies...I've seen this in person. It's amazing but what kind of place do you put something like this?
That is so bizarre. reminds me of that simpsons episode where they get that giant head from mr burns
Yeah, mine are mostly Christian so they are very conservative.
Load More Replies...Ok this makes me want to head over to my local thrift shop and sell all my weird c**p so people everywhere can buy it and enjoy it like I did when I saw these posts.
Best thing I ever stumbled across was when I was documenting my Grandparent's valuables in their home and found a cardboard tube in their bedroom closet in the rafters. Turned out to contain my great great grandfathers civil war sword..complete with sheath, velvet cover and gold silk rope. The hilt was a knight's helmet and the sword was engraved with ivy patterns and his name. My hands were shaking as I carefully put it back....
And to think, it was kept put away like that, and probably didn't see the light of day for countless years. What a treasure.
Load More Replies...Not a thrift store find, but once I found a matching pair of candlestick holders that belonged to a set of christmas dishes my mom had... and also found a jug that matched a set of glasses she had, both at completely different stores. Both on clearance. My best thrift store find is probably the little mini display case that's about a foot tall that I keep some of my tiny keepsakes in. It looks like a full-size one, just mini. Has magnetic glass doors and everything :)
Is there some kind of cosmic limit to the variety of rubbish the human species can manufacture?
i found a pig teapot in a charity shop in horncastle. its tail is the handle and the tea pours out of its mouth. it is one of my most cherished possessions as it always brightens up my day.
My favorite find was an $8,000.00 Brioni suit, perfect condition and perfect fit, for $9.00.
Yeah, mine are mostly Christian so they are very conservative.
