The “Cursed Architecture” Twitter Feed Showcases The Best Of The Worst (40 Pics)
Whether we're talking about the subreddit Crappy Design or the Instagram account Ugly Irish Houses, the Internet seems obsessed with tasteless crimes against aesthetics and functionality. If you are too, the Twitter account "Cursed Architecture" is right up your alley.
Its hellish content includes strange angles, melting paint, vaguely threatening toilets, stairs that lead to nowhere, and more. Basically, the kind of stuff that architects and interior designers would imagine in a horror-comedy. But believe me, you don't have to be an industry pro to appreciate these pictures. They're so bad, us regular folk will get them as well. Enjoy!

Maybe it's how a ladder would look like after a dozen of shots down.
Load More Replies...I took one look at it and immediately fell to my death in a very undignified fashion.
Load More Replies...cool, but imagine running up or down the stairs, then having to call 911 and tell them that the stairs impaled you.
I didn't realize the hole (stairs for further down) until I made the pic bigger. So many things wrong in this pic.
Eh... not that bad, just be careful when carrying stuff up and down.
"Yes, you may go," said Moloch the Devil. "These are the stairs out of the Underworld, your final test." ... To this day you can still hear the Devil's laughter as they tried to escape. Each step up the ladder burned as they climbed, but finally the Adventurer and his lost lover, now rescued, ascended back to the world of the living. Then they discovered they were in New Delhi. "We should have stayed in Hell." She says.
Oh! But I LUV, LUV, LUV this!!! <3 <3 <3 !!! And! IF those were like, "piano keys!" Brilliant!
I don't see how you would get to it. Looks like it's empty space below those steps.
I thought setting up murder to look like an accident was supposed to be subtle.
I'm very certain that I'm neither light enough nor agile enough to climb those things.
Looks the wrong way round. Should be down for hell, up for heaven ?
"Please design me something that I can die on without having to think of it".
I had a house that tried to kill me. Never owning a house with more than a few steps.
Load More Replies...Where I live, this would not only not pass code, but the building department would take your plans out on the lawn at City Hall and ceremoniously burn them.
"oh, and to get upstairs, it really helps if you're tripp'in on acid..."
I'd feel more comfortable if there were at least some kind of railing.
practice, and you'll master it, now if a burglar or somebody else trying to hurt you comes you can agility run up these stairs, with them left confused.
k but the orange looks cool af. i actually like this, purely for the aesthetic
Dude's friends look like the cliche revolutionary war soldiers... Crutches, concussions...
They are a modern variation of witch stairs that withes apparently can't walk up
Umm what living human can actually walk up these stairs? Obviously someone very graceful.
If you're drunk and you need these stairs, you're gonna have a bad time!
You have to use left foot first. Most People are using right foot first... a disaster is on is way....
Complete with ghost of the first victim to fail to navigate these steps!
Oh, God - the 70s. You can bet this combo also came in purple, brown and "harvest gold"

No... there are countries with little in the way of building codes and few people to enforce what codes do exist.
Load More Replies...A lot of these are just bad decor, and have nothing to do with architecture.
