I am Draw An from Taiwan. I love drawing watercolor paintings of cats. This is my first post on Bored Panda and I want to show you some of my favorite watercolor paintings.

Hiding
Before starting out as an artist, I saw the cat works of the Japanese painter Yutaka Murakami on Instagram, and I liked his style very much. Therefore, I decided to create art in the way of watercolor smudging. Besides that, I also like comedies, and I hope that people who see my artwork will smile knowingly even if they don't know this fact. I hope that my audience thinks my work is cute and healing, and funny.

Early Summer
When it comes to my work, I always extract elements suitable for my painting from my life, for example, when I eat delicious food or see a touching drama. When I think of composition and start drafting, it feels like I am inventing something powerful, but it is also the most painful part indeed.
Unfortunately, I cannot draw for too long a day due to the growth of age, but there is always an endless stream of ideas in my mind!
Just Chilling In The Sunlight
When I became an artist I also started to sell my artwork in the creative market. When I was a student, I was interested in writing. However, I couldn’t make money from it. So I started my career in drawing instead.
With that being said, I wish I had more time in a day because watercolor paintings need to be completed at a certain speed. From ideas to completion it may take one to two days or a week, maybe even half a year.
When it comes to having motivation as an artist... a lot of it comes down to a simple fact - freedom. It is because of freedom. I can get good reviews and income from my artwork, and I can share my feelings with everyone by having them see my work!

I love this one! It's both beautiful and whimsical - interesting combination.
That's a horror story. When those lanterns burn out - the remainder just falls off to the ground :(
Hmm, those lanterns are not good for the enviroment. They're banned in some places. When the light burns out, the lanterns come to ground and are often mistaken for food by animals. Not good, don't use them.

This one really draws the viewer into the scene. At first, I didn't notice the second kitty and the church in the background. So, are the kitties on their way to church?

These are charming. It's very hard to capture the fluid body shape and movement of cats. I think you've done an exceptional job of capturing classic kitty poses. More of this Bored Panda!

You are very talented! Watercolouring is veeeeeery difficult to master. Your paintings are clean and vibrant and your colour mixing and shading is so clean!. I like how you mix details with abstract painting in some of your illustrations. Also interestibg mix of styles. Beautiful work! Keep posting more!
