Turns Out, UPS Drivers Have A Facebook Group About Dogs They Meet On Their Routes, And It Will Make Your Day
In 2013, UPS driver Sean McCarren created a Facebook group to pay tribute to the furry friends that make daily routes a looot happier. And it took off like a pup in the park after you unleash it. Now, UPS Dogs has over 1.4M likes on Facebook and 488K followers on Instagram. However, once you scroll through its feed, it's easy to understand why the project has become so popular. There are alpacas, deer, geese, goats, sheep, chickens and even cats too! Drivers post pictures of the cute critters they've become acquainted with along their schedule, with some of them knowing their clients' dogs for years. It's that wholesome type of content the internet has been created for.

Hey, we want a treat... Olympia, washington
"When you're running into dogs all the time, it creates a bond when you see them every day," McCarren told HuffPost. "It's cool to meet some of the same dogs on the route, because they know who you are and they are excited to see you."
According to him, the appeal of the page is that it's all positive, not negative. "There's no views of what people think about this or that, just dogs and an occasional cat, donkey, turtle or bird."
Rudy is blind as a bat, but that doesn't stop him from following the sound of my truck until I feed him! - Saint Joseph, Michigan
"This page also shows the relationship we have with the community and the impact we have on other people's families. It also shows how awesome the drivers are," he added.
The company itself admires the page greatly as well.
"It's a good example of the relationships our employees build with their customers, two- or four-legged!" a spokesperson for UPS said.

There's a new sheriff in town...and her name is Cupcake. Her job....is maintaining law and order at the Bells Up Winery on the mean streets of Newberg, Oregon. Like the rough-and-tumble saloons of the old Wild West, the Bells Up Winery attracts more than its fair share of wine tasting drifters, cattle rustlers, outlaws, gamblers, horse thieves and assorted ne'er-do-wells...all of whom require a firm hand to keep them in line. Its a big job indeed, and one that only Cupcake can handle. She is predatory perfection personified; a pint-sized Pomeranian powerhouse in pink pineapple pajamas. A full forty-four ounces of fearless, fiery, four-legged, flesh-eating fury. She combines the tenacity of a pit bull, the razor-sharp fangs of a rattlesnake, the bone-crushing jaws of a hyena, the speed of a gazelle and the shrill, deafening howl of an air raid siren into a potent and compact package that can be concealed in a coat pocket or handbag until such time as her awesome power is deployed against the miscreant who dares to misbehave in her establishment. When the forces of evil conspire to prey upon the law-abiding citizens of the Newberg frontier, you can sleep easy knowing that the mighty Cupcake will be there to stop them! co.

So far the only vicious dog is the smallest. I am more scared of smaller dogs than bigger dogs.
Champ is a distemper survivor, he uses a special quad wheelchair. He wanted to meet the big brown beast, which he thinks is his own personal goodies truck! Champ is my foster boy who is looking for his forever home. He is available with Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue in Virginia
Awww, poor thing. I hope he found/finds a forever home and lives a happy, heathy life.
Sometimes "ewe" don't know who's coming into your truck. This is Elsa. She's a house dog. I dare you to tell her otherwise!!! Her human told me to see if she'd like puppy treats. She did! He was impressed. West Central Minnesota
I have two sheep who think themselves pet dogs and not sheep, they respond to commands like dogs and beg for food (they love banana chips, digestive biscuits and carrots) like dogs!
Here’s Bill, one of the dogs i see on my route everyday! Louisville, KY

Our delivery guy meeting our newest member of the family today. Central Illinois.
Family member? Sure. Would you chain up granny in your yard? No? Then stfu.
Load More Replies...Why do people like that even have pets? There should be a law that they get chained up just like the pet for an equivalent amount of time.
Load More Replies...That chain is soooo illegal in my city. I would like to believe there is someone holding that leash on the other side.
Sorry; the chain is lying on the ground. On the other hand, he may be chained outside for 'doggie duties' and they'll bring him in when he's done.
Load More Replies...Why would you chain the newest member of your family? Surely if heaven forbid you managed to procreate you would chain the result of that in your yard??
My mother put my brother in a harness and get him on a runner, going up and down the clothesline. Otherwise, he headed for the busiest street several blocks away every time. That way, he wore himself out in safety and she could let him play quietly for the rest of the day, and she cold get her housework done. (some kids are like that.) Somehow he grew up to be a rational human. Wouldn't have believed it earlier...
Load More Replies...That’s an anxious and submissive pup, I hope his new family treat him well.
I always chain my family members in the front yard! It makes them feel loved. -_-
Why is this dog chained up in a yard? People like this do not need animals. It's a lonely life for a dog. UGH
Family? HA. Leave your kids chained up outside, alone, why don't ya?
My county (Volusia, Florida) is in the process of making animals chained up in a yard a felony. We are working hard to get this law passed.
Thank you for that, Nadine. Every state should have this law. "People" let their dogs to freeze to death in the winter, and die of thirst in the summer.
Load More Replies...I sincerely hope you don't plan to leave a member of your family chained up!!!!!
What I really don't like is the fact that the newest "member of the family" is chained. Are the kids also chained? Or Ma? Pa, maybe? No, they aren't? But, they are family, too!!!
If this doggo is on a chain (I'm leaning towards the explanation someone else gave that it's a purple lead) but all chains should be what is called a 'running chain' where the dog can't get tangled up and yet still has freedom of movement. Should never be for very long either. If you don't have the ideal circumstances for a dog, don't get a dog.
Those pictures certainly did put a smile on my face. Lovely animals. What rather bothered me though was the one pooch that was carrying a homosexual-inspired flag in its’ mouth. Those anti-nature colors were surely imposed on that poor pooch and, had he known what was forced on him he would surely have bitten the queer. Anyway, thank god that animals recognize race, abide by the laws of nature, and generally do not divert from that god-given instinct.... unlike some stupid humans. All the best,
Awwww... why is he chained up? That's cruel. Poor baby.
I sincerely hope that he is not tethered all day, all night; that he can share the house with the family. That would be cruel.
Drivers do have a great many friends, so popular, very lucky !!!
Sara, you asking the doggie? Apparently not well.
Load More Replies...Mate, take a pair of bolt cutters on your next visit. Free the doggo.
Real smart, I'm sure that dog would love life in a shelter...what do you think happens to strays...
Load More Replies...How does one CHAIN your new family member and think it's ok?
For those who down voted Jane's comment, it is OK.
Load More Replies...Who says the dog is chained 24/7? And maybe he's tethered because there are ROAD MONSTERS that tend to run over roaming dogs, and wildlife who need to be chased. Get over yourselves, stop assuming the worst about people just so you can rile yourselves up, and just enjoy the pic of a doggy meeting a new friend!
Sandra, there's a lot of abused animals in the world, hopefully this one is not of them.
Load More Replies...She loves being carried by the UPS man and snuggled up. Louisville, Kentucky
When you see puppy.. you hold puppy, you cradle puppy, you love on puppy, you get puppy kisses, and last but not least you take picture with puppy! I love what I do. It is by far one of the most hardest and demanding jobs I’ve ever done. However it is also the best job I could ever ask for. As a ups driver I come across a lot of things. Crazy people crazy dogs.. and then I come across some really awesome people and really amazing dogs! But between me and you I’ll always prefer seeing a good ole puppy any day! Louisville Kentucky

Don't you hate it when someone tries to fly with their "comfort gator"?
Note: this post originally had 110 images. It’s been shortened to the top 40 images based on user votes.
Half the time the dogs look like kids at the Ice Cream truck waiting for their turn. I wonder how weird it would be to blast the Entertainer jingle from a UPS truck?
This is cute but it sets me on edge thinking about how close these animals are getting to the vehicle. I hope they backed away safely while the driver drove away and don't get too comfortable with vehicles in general. I had a cat who got run over once so that may be why I feel this way but I think it's valid.
Most of these photos show the dogs greeting the vans in the road- is it normal for dogs to roam freely (since most American homes don't have front walls)?
In rural areas it is. I see it here in the Netherlands too.
Load More Replies...I had such a bout of anxiety about seeing all of these... fast... before the list os shortened!
You can always see the full list now, when it gets shortened they post the original number of pics at the bottom, you just need to click on it.
Load More Replies...longtime fan of the page here, we love our ups good boys and girls
I find this odd. My dogs hate the UPS truck - I think its the loud rattling noise it makes. They race it up and down the fence line barking or lunge at it growling when out walking. Same with Fed-Ex. Most of the dogs in the neighborhood are the same.
Thanks for a terrific post, we now carry on, with a smile on our face !!!
Does this make up for the terrible quality of UPS' actual delivery? I vote yes.
I wish BP would take down the pic of Huxley the dog and his mutilated ears. Great post, bar that upsetting pic.
I would never get done with my route if I worked that job. Too many friends to greet.
Many great animals, a many nice animal lovin drivers, great post, thanks B.P. !!!
Looking through all these photos has made my day. It's hard not to smile.
I love the pets I just saw, however I couldn't help but notice the over representation of one race, on another note, I was happy to see women in the group. Dont know if I am looking at the pictures through an inappropriate filter, but my eyes have come to demand diversity in everything human related.
Not being an American I'm a little confused by the seemingly 'regular' deliveries the UPS people make. Like dog food? Hair care products? Can you not buy this stuff at stores when you do your grocery shopping? Please can someone explain - asking for info.
I have the best ups man, he picked my dog up from town and delivered him home one day! He got out of his invisible fence and wandered to town (about a mile). Always stops to give him a pet when he delivers my packages, because his fence doesn't extend to the front door. Every year at Christmas, the ups man gets a big gift card.

It's a Facebook page, not a Facebook group. There's a difference. Facebook groups can be open to members only and you can get declined if you ask to join. A Facebook page is for everyone on Facebook to see and you can like and follow it, but not join.
what about they make a group where they post pictures of deliveries which they didnt simply throw on the floor?
