We have all found our own ways to cope with the pandemic that never seems to end. But some things are universal. So to keep your spirits up and balance out all the negativity, we at Bored Panda continue our most positive series.
Below, you will find a collection of wholesome pictures that show there is good left in the world after all. We're talking Nepalese climbers removing trash from Mount Everest to firefighters saving animals; this list has everything it needs to soothe your heart. At least for a little while.

Don't Really Have Anyone To Celebrate With, So I Thought I'd Share With You Guys. I’m One Year Sober
I Just Moved Into My First Very Own Place And Am Living 100% Independently
When you finish going through the pictures, there are more things you can do to make your day a little brighter. Sarah Helen King, psychologist and founder of Invigorise, told Bored Panda that practicing gratitude can do wonders for us.
"Keep a gratitude diary near you and each day just spend a few minutes thinking about one thing you are grateful for, and write it down," Sarah suggested. "Then, whenever you are having a bad day, whip it out and read it. Instant mood enhancer."
For Those Who Step Up
My parents split when I was in first grade. My mom met my step-dad, mark, when I was in second grade. We moved in with him by the time I was in 3rd we moved in to his house. He treated my siblings and I as his own since day 1. He even would watch Gilmore Girls with me and my sister every afternoon. After my mom died when I was 16, Mark didn’t make us go live with our biological dad. He continued raising us as his own. He started out as my mom’s boyfriend and became my dad, my best friend, my go-to for advice.
Mark ended up working 3 jobs while having heart failure, asthma, and diabetes. He did everything he could to provide for my sister and I. He passed away 6 days before I graduated college in 2016. It’s been a few years but I still have trouble on Father’s Day. He could have ditched us when our mom died and we didn’t have enough income. But he didn’t. He was there fighting to put food on the table. Happy Father’s Day for all of the fathers who fight for their children.
He sounds like an incredible human, but the fact he had to work 3 jobs with such health issues enrages me beyond belief.
A truly magnanimous man. And again, the health system of the US (which is where I assume this family lives) is sickening in every sense of the world. What sort of cruel society makes people with heart failure, let alone other illnesses work simply to pay bills?
Although we do technically have "disability" here, it's extremely difficult to get it, takes years, and is nowhere near enough to live on, much less raise kids. So yeah...USA, once again, is all about making money for corporations, and to heck with the people.
Load More Replies...May his memory be a blessing. I'm so glad he knew how much his children loved and appreciated him. This made me cry.
My husband, also named mark, took on my two when we got together, we've had two children together but as far as he is concerned he has 4 children and nothing changes that. Step parents who accept the kids as their own are amazing human beings
This made me cry. Simply a good man who took responsibility for the children he loved, even though they weren’t biologically his own, they clearly were in every way that mattered.
My dad died right before I was going to graduate with my Masters. I had never walked for any of my graduations before. I ended up taking a medical withdraw and completed everything the following semester, Spring of 2020 so just kept up the tradition of not walking for my graduation. It did feel terrible, I spent all this money on the gown, the tassels, etc. I got really hopeful he was going to make it to see me. He was so excited about it. I even got myself excited about it. I had never been one to care about school stuff, just went to class and work, never did anything extra that wasn't required, so going to a graduation ceremony kind of felt like this huge thing. Still cry when I think about it.
Some men, become dads, when a woman gives birth to their child. Some men, become dads, when they adopt. Some men, become dads, when a person comes in to their lives, with children, and their hearts blossom with a love so grand, it's purpose is clear, they are here, to be a dad, a father to these kids, he. Looks at daily! He becomes a father and it is a beautiful thing to behold. I am some sure he loved you all, and your mother, and knew he was meant, and born to be, your dad!
I love you and him. In any other "civilized" country he would have been treated better
This history made me break in tears. What a HERO you had as your dad!! A true man that make us feel proud to share with him the feeling of being fathers. I deeply understand your feelings because I live with a situation like this but in my case is my wife since 23 years now. When she moved in to our house she adopted my then 4 years old little girl as her own daughter and became her mom, loving her, being her chum, helping her all the time. We rised her togheter and she is her true mother, the mother of her heart, instead of the one that gave birth to her.
A perfect example of how the LOGICAL family often trumps the BIOLOGICAL one. When elements of both come together in harmony as one, you know THAT is the way it was meant to be. And it is worth fighting for. Obviously this wonderful man knew from the start where he was supposed to be.
He was your father. A real father is not the one that gives the seed, but the one who raises the plant all the way until it is a tree.
THANK YOU FOR CELEBRATING HIS LOVE, KINDNESS AND WORK ETHIC. HE TAUGHT YOU ALL WELL.
Those who subscribe to the culture of toxic masculinity would do well to take tips from this man, who clearly knows how to be a "real man."
Okay, this made me cry. There are so many fathers out there but he was truly a DAD. I'm so sorry for your loss.
What a great man, what a beautiful memory. I am sure he learned just as much from you children, as you learned from him. His heart grew, when he met you. Joseph was a stepdead, too.
A real human being with a huge heart. You and your sister were/are very lucky. Hope you pass on that story to inspire others.
Amazing Father's don't have to have your DNA just there love for you
I know there are wonderful men out there but it’s rare you actually get to see one and hear his story. Thank you for that. And God Bless your Dad
family isn't always blood related. This is a beautiful story about an amazing man! He was a real dad
An incredible man who gave his all, but the system that gives so much to some and makes life harsh and unfair to others is rotten.
Oh wow, I'm crying out of happiness for you. I never had anything like that and I wanted it so badly. Good for you that you stuck with him also. A lot of lesser people might have left.
This made me cry. My mom married a monster when i was six. My childhood ended then.
This made me cry. I guarantee you that he was fulfilled caring for his children. What an amazing man and I hope he is resting in peace and happy wherever he is now.
How wonderful that you were able to find each other and spend time together. Now go live the life he would have wanted for you.
Just goes to prove that you that there is a difference between a father and a dad, He sounds like an incredible person and a shining example of how to be an amazing human being. You were lucky to have had him in your life.
What a truly wonderful amazing man!! I'm sure he's in heaven looking down on you! The great thing about your Father, he taught you what a real man does and your sister how a real man should treat her!! God Bless your whole family!
God bless you Mark in heaven. I know the power men like you have over our children - us living without our biological co-parent. I don't even have words to describe how this share makes me feel, especially today when my son asked me: why does my dad hate me so much? Yet he walks this planet.
Definition of a man right there, it's just sad that his nation couldn't look after him when he needed it, rest easy now mate.
He sounds like an amazing Dad with a beautiful soul. What a blessing for you and your siblings to have such a man as your Dad/example/influence/best friend. May God bless and keep all y'all <3
I came here to feel good, end up feeling good but with a bit tear in my eyes <3
That is dedication. A guy who standy by his word, keeps his promise, and throws in more effort than many biological parents do. That sense of commitment I'd love to see more often, instead of the sense of entitlement some people are so damned proud to display. We only get that one paragraph, but I'm sure you chose it because it is a fit representation of who he was, what he was - and you were lucky you got one of this kind.
My faith in humanity just became stronger after reading this. He sounds amazing!
This is heartbreaking. What a wonderful man. He sounds like a saint. I so wish he could have had it easier in life. Nobody should have to work that hard when they are suffering like he was. Maybe one day you and your sister could start a fund in his name (if you are ever in a position to do so) to help people like Mark out. So many people need help and our society just keeps getting crueler and crueler. I am so glad you had this wonderful person in your life. Your story is inspiring and I hope that you have the opportunity to share it with more people one of these days.
Wonderful Dad. You will begin to see him in your dreams. I remember first time I did lol, even in the dream I was confused. Now, it is like I get to see and hear him again. So sorry for your loss.

No Matter How Hard It Is, You Have To Try To Push Through
But when it comes to news, the psychologist believes the only way to stop it from bothering us is to simply not watch it. "This has been hugely effective for many of my clients in minimizing anxiety in their day-to-day lives," she explained.
"As an alternative suggestion though, give yourself a daily time (e.g 6 pm) and limit (10 minutes) where you will catch up with the day's events. If you are prone to anxiety, steer clear of clicking on headlines that you know will be a trigger for you, and then after do something you enjoy, like go for a walk in nature or phone a friend for a catch-up and steer the conversation to something positive that happened in the day."

I wasn't feeling down, but now i'm crying. Step dad story was my lowest point.
Yea, but not forgetting about him is making him alive again. Remembrance is beautiful. We celebrate how good of a man and dad he was, not that he is gone! :)
