Ivanka Trump’s Awkward Conversation With World Leaders Sparks “Unwanted Ivanka” Memes (30 Pics)
Last week, world leaders gathered in Osaka, Japan, for the G20 summit. After the event, the French Presidential Palace released a video that captivated the Twittersphere.
The video shows prominent political figures such as the British Prime Minister Theresa May, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and the head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde.
The group of politicians was having a conversation when an odd figure tried to join the talk. The figure is Ivanka Trump trying her best to get involved in the conversation.
“As soon as you start talking about the economic aspect of it though, a lot of people start listening who wouldn't otherwise listen," said May. Trump responds to her: “And the same with the defense side I think, in terms of the whole ecosystem, it's been very male dominated.”
While the context of the conversation is unclear, people quickly started pointing out how awkward the whole situation feels. It seems like people were trying to avoid making eye contact with the US president's daughter, making the whole incident really embarrassing.
