Sibling Bedroom By @vardehaugen_arkitekter
This is a good idea for people with limited rooms but the kids need their own space.
I mean they kinda do with this. It's better than having a bunk bed and a shared space. This way, the room is split.
Load More Replies...I would have loved this as a child... actually I think I still would though I'm not sure what my husband would think.
This is neat, but I assume you still need a significant amount of space dedicated for such room.
Exactly. They could just put the wall in the middle. They have windows and everything. I don't get this one, no need for this.
Load More Replies...Why is the top light off center from the bottom bed? Sorry, but my OCD caught that!
It is not actually off center due to the angle of the camera and placement on the dividing walls. The lights are centered according to the bed placement. Sorry, I'm OCD, too!

Fonte Da Luz House
No matter where you stand, You ALWAYS have a window behind you..... just imagine watching a horror movie in there
Okay, I could like this for a secluded cabin away from prying eyes... but lets be honest, in most cities/suburbs/places... the first thing you'll do is install curtains.
It looks like an attic. Look at the tree tops through the windows and you can realise it's at least a second floor.
Load More Replies...I wonder how I would add shades to this -- just because it gets so hot sometimes in the day.
Probably it depends on where the house is located. My first thought was Portugal, but it might be somewhere in Scandinavia, and it's never too hot up there.

I do love this, but think it would be hard to keep clean, especially if you have pets of young children.
Pet Bed
I can spend thousands of dollars on a bed like this for my cats, and I bet they will still prefer the box that will come in.
All cat owners know the cat in the picture was sedated, otherwise it would have been in the box this came in..
Load More Replies...The cat in this picture was either drugged or bribed. There is no other explanation!
Look at its eyes; it was definitely drugged. "Woah dude, that was some good 'nip!"
Load More Replies...They probably have a dog AND a cat. This is the dog's bed... only reason why the cat is in it..
Nope, it's a lie. Cats never like the beds we humans buy for them...

Reception Desk At The Douglas Hotel By Acdf Architecture
To people complaining about a "waste" of a tree - you surely don't mind the WOODEN FLOOR, do you?
You do realize a normal reception desk would have probably required more trees to be cut because of cutting scrap?
Even though some countries still do major harm by clearcutting forests, silviculture is science of growing and harvesting wood in economically, ecologically and socially sustainable ways. This is a nice picture how sawmills actually cut the logs so every part can be used for different kinds of planks and nothing goes to waste. Especially people living in areas that don't have lot of forests aren't always very familiar with how we get and use our natural resources, but everybody can educate themselves.
This is gorgeous! Looks like a Douglas Fir tree trunk too! Very apt considering the name of the hotel!
I wonder how much that cost They must have used lucite slats in between to hold it in place and allow the light to shine through. Very cool.
If I’d have to guess probably at least $10,000 if it done by an artist. That’s a huge table with a lot of glass/plexiglass around it.
Load More Replies...The log is encased in glass so it won't get dirty. And glass cleaner is really not much work on or off. I can't see clean up being such an issue at all.
Load More Replies...It's incredibly unlikely a tree was cut down with the sole purpose of making this desk.
It was more than likely obtained from a lumbar yard.
Load More Replies...Cool Bedroom
Looks amazing but if this is not properly insulated or have an AC somewhere this room is everything but cool in the summer :D
Probably double paned vinyl windows. Shatter proof and able to hold in heat on cold days while keeping out the heat on hot days.
Load More Replies...It looks like the roof is corrugated metal sheeting: if it i rains or, god forbid, hails, it is going to be really noisy in that room.
Yeah, but rain on a tin roof puts me right to sleeep
Load More Replies...The room is beautiful, but the window for me would make it feel like everyone could see me, even thought that's not true.
You know, they might've installed that glass where you can see out but no one can see in. That would be smart, especially if there's a building next door with windows facing yours. I personally don't want to know that much about my neighbors, and vice-versa, if you get my drift.
Load More Replies...looks straight out of a sci-fi doomsday movie.. next scene, aliens invading..
It's all fun and games until you chillin' in bed and the Avengers crash through it while fightin' Ultron again.

DIY Booktree Bookshelfby Yasuva Razon
Yeah, just cut a little circle hole in each shelf, at the center by the tree, and the cat can climb up the tree and go through each hole, stopping at whatever shelf it wants...
Load More Replies...Ohhh, bravo!!! They should make sure there's some books about ecology and the importance of protecting and replanting forest areas around the world. It's a statement piece, after all, the statement may as well be something important.
Load More Replies...Not very efficient use of space. Would probably look better if the shelves had a rougher surface, even bark-ish.
Awesome Sculpture
Artists name is Ben Young. He's a sculpted from New Zealand. Really cool stuff!
I love this, maybe would be even more amazing if it came with hidden speakers that played wave sounds and the lighthouse was an actual light. Just beautiful

Load More Replies...Hanging Seat By Kodama Zomes
Its not photoshopped. Its the way he is sitting. The back of the cushions are up high so if you raise your arms to rest them there then your neck disappears. His loose fitting shirt does the rest. People that don't know anything about photoshop always want to assume a wonky angle or lighting or beautiful person must be photoshop.

Modern Bedroom
I have a bed similar, at least it has wooden edges. They have advantages and disadvantages for sure. You get used to it. Though your shins do bear marks.
Load More Replies...N... nothing here looks cozy to me. Harsh lines, randomly strewn props and that table thing looks like a bathtub? Wth?
Omg right! So incredibly ugly, that much dark grey heavy wood distracts totally from an amazing view, which should have been the highlight & focus of the space.
Load More Replies...Kneeling on or sliding my rear over rough-hewn wood as I clamber out of bed is always my favorite way to start the day. My second favorite thing is trying to make a bed I can't stand right next to. Yippee!
1) lol. explaining to the doc how that splinter got *there* would be not fun, along with why you didn't notice right way. 2) making beds daily is... kinda futile. I mean, presumably your just going to sleep in it again, so why bother?

Love it! Best way to take a shower together or just alone! Best 🚿 shower ever!!!! I WANT IT!!!!

Light Shelf By Jong- Su Kim
Form over function. Looks good but not a practical bedroom light-source.
I think the main purpose of this is to function as a shelf because a part of the light would be cut off by the shelf itself, causing an inconvinience to anyone using it (cause it looks like a reading light)
I prefer to bounce my reading lamp light off a wall rather than have it directly on my book. For one thing, it's less harsh.

You can argue about the practicality of the hammock, but the placement is awful. Why would you want your arriving guests look up, only to be greeted by the sight of someone’s butt?

I wonder what the weight limit is here? As an engineer I find this an interesting design from a materials and deflection perspective. Is it Ceramic or some sort of acrylic?
I don't think that my boobs and knees would be under water at the same time in this bathtub.
Well, I am not a fan of the mess underneath it, nor the cleaning needs for that. BUT, unlike most tubs you know when there is a leak right away. I am concerned with the weight, all of that weight on each wall, not distributed across multiple beams on the floor. And lastly, how do you drain it? A bucket?

Möbius Chair By @markowitzdesign
A Möbius strip (or Moebius strip) is a surface with only one side. When you go along such a strip you will visit the entire strip surface including the portion that seems to be on the other side of the strip before returning to the starting point. Therefore, the structure of this chair is clearly not a Möbius strip because it has to surfaces.
It will force your knees together. I like to be able to spread a bit but on this chair you cannot.
